Don't Dream, Vania
["You damn child! Take this crazy woman out of my house!"]
Jayden quickly moved his phone away from his ear as the deafening voice screamed angrily from Jonathan on the other end. He frowned in confusion. It was unusual for him to speak through the phone.
"Who are you referring to?" Jayden asked, then he could hear a stern voice on the other end.
["The mother of that bastard child! She's here begging like a madwoman!"]
Jayden's eyes reflexively widened. "What? Is Vania there?"
["Get her out of here right now!"]
After that, the call was unilaterally closed by Jonathan. A long sigh could be heard coming from Jayden's mouth immediately. Truly, he was completely surprised and didn't expect Vania to do something reckless like going to his house.
Without further delay, that very night Jayden immediately pocketed his phone and walked out of the room.
He only bid farewell to Layla and Agatha, explaining that Jonathan had summoned him for work matters. With high speed, Jayden drove his car towards the main house.
Upon arrival, hastily entering, Jayden was greeted with a humiliating sight.
Vania was seen sitting below, pleading to Jonathan who stood in front of her with an angry face.
"I already said, give up." Jayden clenched his fists to contain his emotions.
Everyone there turned instantly, including Kinara and Sarah. They were surprised yet relieved.
Jonathan, who had been holding back his irritation, immediately went upstairs with various insults. He intended to wash his hands that had been touched by Vania a hundred times.
Kinara and Sarah, who exchanged looks, also turned and left. They thought it was not right to interfere with their child's affairs. They were also confident that Jayden could handle it well even without their help.
Jayden glanced briefly at them, then walked up to Vania who looked at him with sparkling eyes. Jayden sighed lazily as he saw her.
If it weren't for Vania being a woman, he would have dragged her out without hesitation, or even used force if necessary.
"Leave this place," Jayden coldly ordered. As he tried to pull Vania's hand, the girl immediately pushed it away. Her eyes turned sharp.
"I won't give up, Jay! I still love you! We have to be together again no matter what!" Vania shouted with teary eyes.
"What?" Jayden rubbed his face in frustration.
"You're insane. Where's your shame, Vania? Or have you lost it now? Come on, you have to realize it."
Vania shook her head, took a step closer to Jayden, and then smiled gently. "I want to be with you, Jay. I will improve myself, and we can start over. You, me, and Layla, we can surely be happy."
Jayden sighed. When Vania reached out to hold his hand, he immediately backed away. He felt disgusted and nauseated seeing that smile and hearing that voice.
If once he would be happy to hear it, now his ears hurt just from hearing her murmurs.
"Don't dream, Vania. I don't love you anymore. And we will never be together again. Please stop disturbing my peaceful life without you. You can understand that with my words, right?"
Vania shook her head firmly. "No, Jayden! We have to be together again? I'm sorry for leaving you before! But now I've changed! I will be a good woman and mother for Layla!"
"Stop calling my child's name! I refuse her to have a mother like you!" Jayden snapped. His emotions, which had reached the breaking point, finally exploded.
"Hey, forgive me Jayden. I was wrong in the past for leaving your child, but what's wrong with wanting to change now? I also want Layla to feel the love of a mother."
Jayden pulled Vania's hand to make her stand up and leave. "The talk is over, my time is up to deal with you."
"Let go, Jayden! No! I don't want us to separate! We have to be together again like before!"
In a hysterical state, Vania kept screaming and crying in front of Jayden. Although Jayden felt surprised, he remained firm and decided to take decisive action.
Jayden contacted the mental hospital to help Vania. Because Vania's family had relinquished responsibility since the past incident that had damaged their family relationship.
At the mental hospital, the atmosphere remained tense as Vania continued to cry and scream. Hospital staff tried to calm the situation, while Jayden provided the necessary information.
"It's important for Vania to receive the appropriate help and care here," the hospital staff told Jayden.
Vania, in an unstable state, was directed to a prepared room. Jayden looked at her with a mix of concern and responsibility.
Although Vania had disrupted his life, Jayden couldn't ignore his human responsibility.
Jayden left the mental hospital with a heavy heart. He reflected on the complex past and how past decisions had impacted the lives of those around him.
Outside the mental hospital, Jayden pondered briefly under the dim street lights. His decision to bring Vania to the mental hospital provided some relief but also left a heavy feeling in his heart.
Meanwhile, Vania's long-abandoned family was still hurt by their child's situation. Jayden received a call from Grandma Sarah, who tried to convey her feelings.
["Jayden, I know this is difficult, but I appreciate what you're doing for Vania. We hope she can find help there."]
Jayden nodded while taking a deep breath. "Thank you, Grandma. I just want the best for her, even though it's quite challenging."

After sending Vania to the hospital, Jayden returned to the apartment with a burden on his shoulders. When the apartment door opened, Agatha, who was inside, immediately felt Jayden's presence.
Without saying a word, Agatha approached Jayden and gave him a warm hug.
They didn't need to ask each other because Agatha's eyes reflected deep understanding. Jayden felt warmth in Agatha's embrace, like a shelter from the storm.
Without the need for many words, Agatha led Jayden to the sofa, and they sat together. Jayden felt at peace as Agatha's presence helped calm the agitation in his heart.
Unaffected by anger or the desire to vent through alcohol, Jayden chose to share his feelings with Agatha.
Agatha offered a cup of warm tea to Jayden, sitting beside him on the sofa. Her face exuded care and tranquility.
"Come now, Jayden. You've faced a tough situation today. I am here for you."
Jayden took a long breath, feeling the warmth of the tea Agatha served. "I never imagined Vania would go this far. This feels so difficult, Agatha."
Agatha nodded. Although not fully aware of Jayden's problems, upon hearing Vania's name, she could already guess what had happened.
"You're not alone, Jayden. I'm here to accompany you through all of this. Sometimes life gives us difficult tests."
Jayden took a deep breath. "What made her like this, Agatha? Did I really make her this angry?"
Agatha shook her head. "No, Jayden. Everyone has their own life journey. No one can predict how the past shapes a person. You are only responsible for your own choices and actions."
"I just want Layla and you to be okay. Both of you mean so much to me," Jayden said softly.
