Jonathan, Jayden's Father
"Hello, poor girl?"
Agatha instinctively turned upon hearing the familiar voice, raising an eyebrow as she found Grace standing in front of her with a sweet smile.
"Good morning," greeted the girl again, still with her friendly face.
Agatha made a small sarcastic sound; this senior had already disgusted her early in the morning. "Why are you deliberately approaching me?"
"What's wrong with a senior greeting her junior?" Grace responded calmly.
"Do you want the money now?" Agatha changed the topic, as her senior seemed to have a hypocritical face.
Grace pretended to be surprised, covering her mouth. "Oops, I almost forgot. Today, I'm going to receive my reward, right? Oh, but it's still outside. I'm ashamed to be seen by many people. They'll surely be jealous."
Agatha narrowed her eyes, finding the response truly irritating. But she just took a long breath and tried to be patient. "So, when and where should I give it to you, Senior?"
"Uh, why are you in such a rush?"
"It's obvious, right? I no longer want to deal with prestigious people like you. I realize that a poor girl like me should not linger to chat with her senior." Agatha clenched her fist, accompanied by a forced smile.
Upon hearing the unexpected confession, Grace burst into laughter. "I never knew you'd become so clever, Agatha. You really touched me."
If Agatha didn't have any dignity, she would have slapped the face in front of her. But Agatha clearly controlled her emotions, presenting her sweetest smile almost like a joker.
"It seems it's time to go to class; I'll excuse myself."
Grace let Agatha go, but her face turned red. Her irritation wanted to explode because Agatha's response didn't meet her expectations.
Actually, she would be happy if Agatha got angry. Then they would become the center of attention, making Agatha the target of bullying.
"Damn poor people have no shame," mumbled Grace, staring at Agatha's retreating figure with an upright back.
The long-awaited lunchtime finally arrived after wrestling with a presentation almost every day. Including Agatha, who was already bored. As a result, throughout the learning session, she was more lost in thought.
"I didn't expect her to be so cruel," Agatha remarked as she left the classroom with Aluna.
"She's only cruel to me. Ah, no. I mean, to a poor girl like me." Agatha continued before Aluna could speak.
She corrected her statement because so far, Grace had always been kind to the wealthy circle of students.
Aluna next to Agatha immediately shook her head, about to protest. "Hey—"
But before she could respond, Grace suddenly appeared from behind. Aluna's eyes widened. Meanwhile, Agatha reflexively turned around as someone tapped her shoulder quite hard.
"Agatha, I want to talk to you both, but not here. Can you?"
Agatha frowned briefly, then glanced at Aluna beside her. "Don't wait for me; you go to the cafeteria first."
Aluna really wanted to refuse, but as the girl stared at her as if ready to attack if she said no—Aluna could only take a deep breath long. She let Agatha walk away with Grace, who had bid her farewell.
Agatha remained silent as they walked down the corridor until they finally arrived at the unused back yard of the warehouse. Agatha had only been there when she accidentally got lost as a new student. She never expected Grace to know a place like this.
"Where did the money come from? I can't just accept it."
Grace walked under a tall tree near the warehouse.
Agatha followed her patiently. "Do you suspect I got it from illegal work? No, unfortunately, you don't need to worry. It's not illegal."
Grace stopped in her tracks, then turned around, folding her arms and gazing at Agatha. "You probably borrowed it from the bank, right? Well, at least that's better than making money by selling yourself."
Agatha took a deep breath. trying to control her emotions as best she could. "That's enough. I want our issues to end here. Please don't disturb my life. I hope we don't have to meet again after this."
Agatha handed a small black bag containing a sum of money to Grace. The beautiful girl in front of her hesitated for a moment, Agatha, who didn't want to linger any longer, immediately grabbed Grace's hand and placed the bag on her palm.
Grace flinched, but then snapped out of it. She arched her eyebrows, disbelieving and possibly being deceived. Grace opened the bag. In a few seconds, she was stunned before eventually making a small snort.
She was very annoyed because Agatha really brought the money she asked for. Grace had already prepared many plans to make Agatha devastated.
"Do you think I'm willing to meet with you? Dream on. My time would be wasted if I meet with you," Grace replied to Agatha's earlier remark.
For her, talking to Agatha, the poor girl, was the most unprofitable activity.
Agatha nodded. "I know. So, is it all settled now? I have to get back to class."
Agatha didn't need Grace's response to know the annoyance on her face toward her. Agatha simply turned and walked away, leaving her behind.
Agatha's lips formed a satisfied smile when the issue with Grace was finally resolved, and the girl couldn't belittle her anymore.
"She's really annoying," Grace grumbled, stomping her foot on the ground. She was truly upset but couldn't do anything because she already had the money she asked for.

"Excuse me, are you the girl named Agatha Marvelly?"
Agatha, sitting at a bus stop, bowed down while playing with her phone, instinctively raised her face. Frowning, she looked at a man in office attire who was smiling at her.
"Yes, that's me," replied Agatha after observing the stranger's appearance for a few seconds.
"Someone wants to meet you, please follow me."
Agatha furrowed her brows even more. The man was about to turn around, and she quickly stood up to stop him. "Wait, who are you referring to?"
The man just glanced briefly and gave a faint smile. "Follow me if you want to find out."
Agatha widened her eyes as the strange man walked away from her, leading her away from the school area and stopping in front of a luxurious car. It was even more suspicious when the man opened the car door, inviting her to get in.
And what made Agatha almost punch the man was when she was suddenly pushed in forcefully.
"Hey? What is this? Let me out!"
Agatha tried to open the door, but it was already locked. She was too late to rebel from the start.
Agatha groaned loudly as the man was now in the front seat, behind the steering wheel. She was about to protest before realizing that another man had actually been by her side all along.
Agatha startled, but once she noticed the sudden awkward atmosphere, she cleared her throat.
"Ah, sorry. Who are you?" Agatha composed herself, looking hesitantly at the man beside her.
"Are you related to Jayden Byanthara?" Instead of answering, Jonathan asked without looking. Then the car began to drive slowly.
Agatha jerked, not because the car she was in was moving, but because of the man's question that was too surprising.
"Sorry about earlier. But what do you mean? Why are you asking like that?"
Jonathan slightly smirked, a response he could already predict. "Call him, then tell him not to pick you up because you have an additional assignment and will go home with a friend."
"Why do I have to do that? Who are you, really?"
"I'm his father."
Agatha was stunned, naturally. She squinted her eyes, her nervous laughter lingering. "Are you not lying? How can I trust you?"
It was now Jonathan's turn to be surprised. His lips instinctively tilted sideways. This girl was quite intriguing. Jonathan took out his phone, sure that after this, the girl wouldn't be able to fight back.
"Do as I say if you want to get out of this car without losing anything." Jonathan handed his phone with the apple logo to Agatha.
The expression on Agatha's face was one of shock and tension. She was suddenly terrified.
There was a family photo with Jayden in it, standing with the man next to her on the phone. Inadvertently, Agatha also saw Cakra among them.
But Agatha wasn't one to stay silent, she turned to Jonathan with annoyance because what the man was doing was absurd.
"Why are you doing this to me? Have I wronged you in any way?"
"Finish my task first if you want to know the reason," Jonathan growled coldly, sliding his phone back into his pocket.
Agatha fell silent, her eyes that had met Jonathan's sharp gaze really left her speechless. Agatha realized that the man's aura was quite intimidating.
Not wanting anything to happen to her, Agatha took a deep breath resignedly. Then she opened her phone and searched for Jayden's contact. After sending a few messages, she showed them to the man.
"You've seen it, haven't you? I've finished calling your son," Agatha presented it to the man.
Jonathan glanced at the message, seeing that the girl's job was done. He smiled a smirk. His large fingers then took out his phone again and sent a message to someone.
While Agatha was taken aback by the sight of the car she was in speeding up instead of stopping.
"Wait a minute, where are you taking me? I've done what you asked, right? Please drop me off here," protested Agatha, feeling a bit anxious. She realized that the car was not heading towards her apartment.
"Don't you want to know why I'm meeting a lowly girl like yourself?" Jonathan retorted, turning his head with raised eyebrows.
Agatha widened her eyes, almost cursing. "Excuse me? Did you just say ... I'm a lowly girl?"
Jonathan shrugged. "Aren't you indeed a lowly girl, Miss Agatha Marvelly?"
