Like a Harmonious Couple
"Snacks? Chocolate?" Jayden observed every move Agatha made.
"Chocolate?" Agatha pondered for a moment, then shook her head. "But we're shopping for necessities now, Jayden. I can buy chocolate another time."
"Chocolate for your snack during that time of the month is also a necessity. Usually, you like to eat sweet things to stabilize your mood, right? Instead of buying it last minute, wouldn't it be better to have a stock ready," Jayden explained.
Agatha reflexively stopped walking. "Ah, that's true. Why do you come up with brilliant ideas like that? I just remembered this month I haven't got any."
Jayden smiled gently. "You should keep track of the dates every month so you can be prepared."
"Oh my, you're so attentive now, Jayden," Agatha held back a smile, then stopped in front of a shelf of assorted chocolate bars. "Want some chocolate too?"
"Sure."
Agatha started to inspect each chocolate in front of her. "What flavor do you want? Original? Green tea? Strawberry?"
Jayden chuckled softly. "Anything as long as you pick it."
"Really? Do you like any flavor?" Agatha tilted her head. Jayden smiled and nodded like a little kid.
Agatha chuckled. "Alright, I'll pick whatever I like."
While their groceries were being totaled, Jayden sneakily stole a glance at Agatha who was observing the male cashier. The girl seemed mesmerized by the actions of the employee.
Agatha herself was indeed watching the handsome male cashier. It was the first time she had seen him during her shopping at the minimarket. It seemed like he was a new employee. Even when he totaled her groceries, he wasn't as quick as the other employees.
"Agatha," Jayden called out, but Agatha just cleared her throat in response, making Jayden raise an irritated eyebrow. He didn't know what had made Agatha so focused.
"Look at me," Jayden said again.
Agatha, who was initially focused on the cashier, turned to him. "Huh? What's up?"
Jayden finally smiled. "You wait outside, I'll carry the groceries."
"Oh, really? But there are so many, Jayden."
Jayden nodded firmly. "Yes, go ahead. You wanted to buy Layla kebabs, right? The seller is quiet now. It might get busy later, and you'll have to wait in line."
Agatha looked towards the kebab seller's stand in front of the minimarket. Her eyes lit up spontaneously. She had promised Layla to buy her kebabs as a gift because the girl was studying alone in the apartment.
"In that case, I'll go now, okay?" Agatha turned to Jayden, and as he nodded, Agatha smiled sweetly until her eyes squinted.
"Okay, thank you!"
Jayden was taken aback. He suddenly fell silent. Then blinked as Agatha turned around. Suddenly his heart was pounding seeing Agatha's smile earlier.
"Yes, you're welcome," he murmured softly after a while. He smiled faintly, staring at Agatha's retreating back.
"Excuse me, here are your groceries."
Hearing the voice, Jayden changed his expression to neutral and turned around. "How much?"

After Jayden found out that Agatha was his longed-for childhood friend, their relationship grew closer. They shared stories, laughed together, and found warmth in every moment together.
Layla, being sensitive, noticed the change. Instead of feeling left out, she was happy to see her father becoming closer to Agatha.
They became a supportive trio, creating a tighter family atmosphere. Until one day, Layla invited Jayden to go on vacation with Agatha.
'Dad, why don't we go on a vacation with Aunt Agatha?" Layla enthusiastically suggested.
Jayden smiled at his daughter's enthusiasm, "That's a great idea, Layla. What do you think, Agatha?"
Agatha also smiled, "I think it would be a fun experience. Let's plan a vacation together!"
With Layla's proposed vacation plan, they both began to make plans to spend quality time together, creating new memories in their exciting journey.
Layla was very happy to go on vacation together. Before Agatha came along, she felt a bit envious of her friends who could vacation with their parents while she was just with her father.
Agatha's presence made her feel the warmth of a mother, and vacationing with them became a precious and unforgettable moment.
During the vacation, Layla enjoyed every moment of togetherness, from playing on the beach to exploring tourist attractions.
This togetherness further strengthened the family bond that had grown among the three of them, creating a warm family atmosphere that Layla had long dreamed of.
Layla spontaneously expressed her feelings. "I feel like we're really a family. I'm happy with the closeness between Aunt Agatha and dad. You seem like a harmonious couple."
Jayden was slightly surprised by Layla's comment. "Oh my, Layla? What did you just say?"
Layla laughed. "Yes, Aunt Agatha always gives off warmth like a mother. You two are a good match, Dad."
Agatha smiled gently at both of them. "Thank you, Layla. We are like a family, and I am grateful to be part of your lives."
The moment was filled with laughter and happiness, further strengthening the bond that grew among them as a loving family.
At a night festival, Layla held Agatha's hand and smiled joyfully. The festival lights created a warm and intimate atmosphere around them. Jayden, who saw this, couldn't contain his pounding heart.
His heart raced seeing Layla and Agatha's happiness. Jayden reflected, "Maybe Layla is right. We are like a complete family, and Agatha brings back the happiness that was missing in my life."
Smiling, Jayden joined Layla and Agatha, entering the night festival with mixed emotions, but full of the warmth of the new family that had formed among them.
"Aunt, let's buy that!"
"Oh, you want cotton candy? Okay, let's go. I haven't had it in a long time either."
The two of them walked towards the cotton candy stand with enthusiasm. Jayden just smiled, feeling lucky to have Agatha who made their family complete.
"Hey, Layla? Don't forget about me!" Jayden exclaimed with a smile. Layla quickly took Jayden's hand.
"Of course, Dad! I want to buy cotton candy for you too," Layla replied cheerfully.
They continued their journey at the night festival, full of laughter and cheer. Their relationship grew stronger, forming beautiful memories that they would cherish.
From a distance, Rey, Jayden's secretary, quietly observed them. Although shocked to find out that the person who had changed his boss turned out to be a woman, he was very happy because his boss had lived alone for a long time.
In his heart, Rey thought, "Agatha is the one who brings enthusiasm and happiness to my boss. That's good, my boss deserves to find happiness."
"What Layla mentioned the other day is true, they are getting closer like a married couple. It's no wonder Layla wanted me to help her bring them closer," Rey observed the warm interaction between Jayden and Agatha.
With a satisfied smile, Rey felt delighted to see the success of his plan assisting Layla. He could now continue his work with a sense of relief, knowing that his boss had found happiness in Agatha's presence.
"I didn't expect a young child like Layla to partner with me."
Rey chuckled with glee. He was happy that his plan to bring Jayden and Agatha closer together succeeded, even involving Layla's participation.
Rey continued his work with joy, feeling that his plan could bring happiness to everyone.
