The Attention Seeker
Jonathan gritted his teeth, continuing his rant. "Thriving rapidly? Ha! Looks like he just wants to prove how foolish I am! That ungrateful child!"
In his frustration, Jonathan unleashed his anger on objects around him, throwing his pen roughly and hitting the table until several documents scattered.
The atmosphere in his office felt hot and tense, reflecting the disappointment and frustration he felt.
"If this is the result, I can no longer monitor that poor woman's movements! Now she must be enjoying herself being free from me!" Jonathan growled in frustration, recalling Agatha who was probably living peaceful days.
From the start, Jonathan had actually intervened in Jayden's affairs because he wanted him to be the heir to his company, but Jayden refused to be controlled, especially after he remarried. Jonathan was unaware of the reasons behind his actions.
Even though Jonathan knew that Cakra lacked passion in that field, he was reluctant to admit the fact and still tried to execute his plan by placing Cakra as the company manager.
Thinking that Jayden would be afraid of his threats, he was surprised to find that Jayden dared to challenge him and chose to advance his own company, which was actually insignificant compared to Jonathan's company.
"If only he wasn't deceived by a woman, my relationship with him would have been fine to this day," Jonathan muttered.
He took a long breath and leaned back in his chair. Memories of the past came flooding back to his mind, making his hands unable to resist clenching into fists as he stared sharply at the ceiling of his office.
"If only he hadn't met Vania and been deceived by her, the future I had planned for Jayden would have gone perfectly," Jonathan said with a hardened jaw.
Jonathan's jaw stiffened. "It all started with that woman. A poor woman trying to snatch my son's fortune with her greed."
Indeed, Vania, Jayden's ex, came from an underprivileged family. All her school and college expenses were covered by scholarships. When they first met, Jonathan liked her friendly and polite demeanor.
However, over time, as Jayden became more generous towards her, her attitude slowly changed. Eventually, Vania betrayed Jayden. Even though both her parents supported Vania's relationship with Jayden, she ran away with another man.
Especially during an incident one night, Jonathan, who was initially very angry, tried to accept the situation. But in the end, Vania refused to take care of her child. From there, Jonathan's anger grew, even until now.
He developed a strong dislike towards certain individuals, including women from lower backgrounds. He tried to steer Jayden onto the right path and live a perfect life befitting his family's reputation.
Since then, he had harbored significant resentment towards Jayden because he should have never met Vania from the beginning.
That was the start of their relationship never being good until now, and it was uncertain when they could reconcile.
Jonathan glanced at the family portrait on the wall of his office. His expression was a mixture of disappointment and anger that wouldn't subside. The dark secrets from Jayden and Vania's past continued to haunt him.
His jaw tensed as he thought about how Vania, who was once close to his family, had become a harmful figure.
Jonathan knew that Vania's feelings towards Jayden had changed over time, reopening wounds that were difficult to heal in his heart.
"Jayden deserves the best," Jonathan muttered, trying to cope with his overwhelming feelings.
"But Vania ruined everything."
Jonathan pondered for a moment, recalling the times when Jayden and Vania were still together. Deep sorrow continued to envelop his heart, and despair grew each time he thought of how their relationship ended tragically.
However, behind that disappointment, Jonathan had a strong desire to guide Jayden towards a better path. He tried to overcome his hatred towards Vania to avoid disrupting his relationship with Jayden. Every time he looked at his son, memories of the past always haunted him.
Jonathan decided to focus on Jayden's future, trying to forget the resentment and provide support so that his son could build a better life.
Although the hatred towards Vania still burned within him, Jonathan promised himself not to let it ruin his relationship with Jayden.
Yet, there was still a difficult tension to overcome. Jonathan realized that the healing process would not be easy, and the conflict between the past and present had to be faced in order for his family to achieve peace.

"Good morning, Mr. Jayden."
The greeting came from a female employee who welcomed Jayden this morning. She smiled sweetly, as if she was the most beautiful woman who could make Jayden respond to her.
However, that was a huge mistake. In reality, Jayden only glanced briefly and continued his steps towards the elevator.
The purposely softened voice of the woman had made Jayden extremely fed up because he encountered her almost every day. The woman always welcomed Jayden at the entrance with her cheerful face.
"I guess I have to bring someone to stop her futile behavior," Jayden grumbled to himself, holding back his irritation.
The female employee who received such indifference from Jayden pouted in annoyance. Other employees who witnessed this could only sigh in pity. They felt sorry for her struggles which had not yielded any results so far.
"I can't give up! At least I must be able to see him smile at me even once!"
Afterward, the woman walked briskly to her office, stepping forcefully.
She had made a great effort to dress in new clothes and wear expensive makeup in the hope of looking even more beautiful. But her boss, whom she liked, still didn't respond to her greetings at all.
Jayden stepped out of the elevator and entered his office. Although he appeared calm, his mind was not. Even as he settled into his chair, Jayden was still contemplating his plan to invite Agatha to his office.
Aside from wanting to show the office atmosphere, Jayden also intended to make the female employees give up seeking attention from him.
The flirtatious employee didn't stop there. When Jayden sat in his office, suddenly the door opened slowly.
A female employee with a very attractive appearance stood at the doorway, her smile dazzling.
"Good morning, Mr. Jayden. Can I help you with anything?" she said in a sweet tone, tilting her head as if trying to display captivating glints in her eyes.
However, Jayden only glanced at her briefly without showing any expression. "No, thank you."
The woman still stood there, hoping to receive more attention. Behind her, several other female employees were also trying various ways to get Jayden's attention.
Some were dressed modestly, some tried to look intelligent by carrying files, and some wore brightly colored clothing.
Jayden remained indifferent, not giving any more attention. He responded with a cold gaze.
"Damn. I need to focus on my piled-up work," Jayden muttered to himself, planning to call Agatha to his office immediately to restore a conducive office environment.
As Jayden walked down the office corridor, female employees tried to sweetly greet him. One of them chose to walk alongside him, asking questions as if trying to start a deeper conversation.
"How's your day going, Mr. Jayden?" one of them asked with a broad smile.
Jayden gave only a brief answer, "As you can see," as he quickened his pace towards the meeting room.
However, it was not just one person who tried. Several other female employees also made various attempts, such as intentionally meeting in the kitchen to make coffee or following him to the elevator.
Jayden remained indifferent and kept his distance, not allowing for any personal conversation.
