Stay by My Side
In the midst of small tasks, Jayden and Agatha engaged in casual conversations, showing a professional yet friendly closeness.
Employees who had previously tried to compete began to realize that Jayden was not entirely focused on them.
With Jayden's subtle attention towards Agatha, the office atmosphere changed. Employees who had previously competed for their boss's attention became more united, realizing that excessive competition would only harm themselves.
Cleverly, Jayden opened their eyes to the importance of teamwork, not endless competition. With these small steps, Jayden hoped to change the dynamics in his office for the better.
Agatha, aware of her surroundings, fully supported Jayden's initiative. Despite becoming the center of attention, she chose to face the situation with a cool head and calm demeanor.
They continued to work together on various tasks, proving that their collaboration was not just a provocative gesture.
However, behind the scenes, Vivi, one of the female employees who had hoped to be the center of Jayden's attention, grew more frustrated seeing the changes in office dynamics.
Her plan to manipulate and charm Jayden seemed to no longer go as planned.
She began to devise a new strategy to regain Jayden's attention, without realizing that Jayden deliberately directed the focus of the employees towards collaboration.
In the following weeks, the office atmosphere became more conducive. Employees who had previously competed now started collaborating, realizing that the company's success depended on teamwork.
Jayden and Agatha became role models, not only in terms of professionalism but also in building balanced and healthy relationships in the workplace.
Meanwhile, Vivi continued to plan ways to redirect Jayden's attention to herself.
However, all her efforts seemed to meet with failure. Jayden wisely kept his distance and focused on improving the office dynamics.
Certainly, all of this could not have been achieved without Agatha's hard work, supporting every step of Jayden's plan. Their professional relationship grew stronger, and they both understood the importance of working together to achieve their goals.
Thus, the positive changes in the office not only encompassed the dynamics among employees but also laid a stronger foundation for the company's future.
One afternoon, in the bustling office cafeteria, Jayden and Agatha sat together at one table, enjoying their lunch.
Light laughter and cheerful conversations were heard between them. Agatha shared her college experiences, while Jayden listened enthusiastically.
Female employees around the cafeteria began to take notice of Jayden and Agatha's closeness. Some of them appeared envious of the warm interaction between their boss and Agatha.
They spoke in a cynical tone, trying to hide their dissatisfaction with their closeness.
Although some appeared envious, many employees were happy to see them. They believed that Agatha's presence brought a new sense of harmony and cheerfulness in the office.
Some smiled and praised them, signaling their approval of the positive relationship between Jayden and Agatha.
While Jayden and Agatha continued to enjoy their lunch, a sense of tranquility prevailed. Since Agatha started working in the office, Jayden felt more at ease as there were no longer female employees trying to approach him or disturb his personal life.
Even when envious female employees whispered cynically, Jayden simply smiled and continued his lunch. Agatha also paid little attention, focusing on their enjoyable conversation.
"So, how is your college, Agatha? Any interesting stories in these past few days?"
Agatha nodded enthusiastically. "Oh, of course, Mr. Jayden! You know, in class earlier, there was an exciting discussion about..."
While they seemed engrossed, a female employee whispered to her friend beside her while looking at Jayden and Agatha.
"Look at them, as if the world belongs to the two of them."
"I can't stand watching that. It seems Mr. Jayden is really serious about that woman named Agatha."
Some employees sitting at the adjacent table also responded to them as a sign of agreement.
However, Jayden clearly ignored their whispers. "What else, Agatha?"
"About the new project we will be working on tomorrow, Mr. CEO. I have already planned it."
Jayden smiled. Despite using formal language, he still felt comfortable talking to Agatha. Although he had asked her to act normally, Agatha insisted on speaking just like any other employee.
"You are truly hardworking. I am glad to have you in this company."
Agatha and Jayden continued their conversation without paying much attention to the cynical whispers around them. With the end of lunch, Jayden and Agatha resumed their work activities.
The natural camaraderie between them had a positive impact on the office atmosphere. Although there were still envious individuals, Agatha's presence brought positive changes felt by many employees.
"Your company is truly amazing. I can't stop being amazed since first stepping in here." Agatha gazed at the view from the glass window in Jayden's room.
"Especially since your workspace is located on the top floor. The view is truly beautiful." Agatha truly felt like she was in a dream.
Jayden chuckled at Agatha's expression. "You can come here anytime. I leave this room open for you."
"Eh?" Agatha looked at Jayden spontaneously, then chuckled softly. "Don't make me overreact, Mr. CEO."
Jayden's laughter burst out. He swiveled his chair to face Agatha. "I'm serious, Agatha Marvelly. I'm offering you an opportunity that no other employee has. So, naturally, you can't refuse my offer, right?"
Agatha was stunned. Besides Jayden's recent words, his current sitting posture suddenly made her heart beat wildly.
Look at that. Agatha's mind was already floating with her imagination. What if she were to sit on that man's lap?
"I really am losing my mind," Agatha thought before diverting her gaze back to the window. Her body felt stiff as Jayden had been staring at her since earlier.
"I am so grateful to you, Mr. CEO. You are truly an amazing and kind person," Agatha replied afterward, with a small laugh to cover her embarrassment.
Jayden laughed again. Somehow, he could read every expression on the girl's face. "But with one condition. You must stay by my side."
Huh? No. No, she must not explode right now. How could Jayden say that without considering her heart condition?
What if she misunderstood? Well, thankfully, she had enough self-awareness.
"You don't need to worry, Mr. CEO. I will remain loyal to you and will not betray you as long as ever," Agatha said, with a glance filled with her nervousness.
Jayden raised one corner of his lips. "Do you think I meant it like that?"
"Hmm? Isn't that so?"
Jayden shrugged. "I want both meanings from it."
Agatha looked at Jayden, puzzled and amazed. She did not want to be confident by interpreting the man's words on her own. "I don't understand your meaning, Mr. CEO."
"My point is, I want that condition with two meanings like you thought."
Jayden rose from his seat. He walked towards Agatha, glanced for a moment, then stood beside her while adding structures in the distance.
"You already know what I mean."
Agatha fell silent in shock. She was not actually dim-witted, but she was unsure. She could not retort, only guessing in her mind, "What does he mean? Does he want me to stay by his side for the rest of his life?"
