She Dares to Reject Me
Agatha was reflexively surprised. The answer was completely unexpected. But once again, she reminded herself to be polite towards the director.
She shouldn't let her discomfort make her go overboard cursing in front of him.
"But, I'm sorry. I'm in a hurry." Agatha bowed and prepared to leave. "Excuse me."
Cakra, who was perceptive, quickly blocked Agatha's steps. "Wait."
Agatha furrowed her brows, indicating her disapproval. Spontaneously, she took a step back to distance her body from the man.
Cakra then sighed deeply seeing Agatha's reaction, then smiled slightly. He looked at the unique woman.
"I'm not done yet. Why are you leaving, hm?"
Agatha clenched her jaw, closed her eyes briefly, then looked at him flatly. Not wanting to be influenced by Cakra's fake-friendly smile.
"What else do you want?"
"Are you rejecting me?" Cakra replied directly. Regretting his words a moment before. Agatha's expression seemed increasingly confused and annoyed.
Cakra chuckled softly. "I mean, everyone is lining up to be able to talk to me. Aren't you one of them?"
"I'm not interested. And it seems you've targeted the wrong person. I don't even know you." Agatha didn't bother to hide her honesty, that she didn't want to deal with Cakra.
"Didn't we just introduce ourselves?" Cakra became more persistent and enjoyed Agatha's sharp gaze at him.
"That's just the basics, isn't it?" Agatha clicked her tongue, then let out a long sigh. She didn't expect the campus director to be out of her expectations.
"Anyway, I have to go." Agatha turned around, deciding not to go to the restroom after all. Her mood for washing her face had suddenly vanished because of meeting Cakra.
Until Agatha's back was no longer visible, Cakra then smiled crookedly.
It turned out that his fate was not bad either, as it had brought him to Agatha. That indifferent woman with an ordinary face somehow managed to catch his attention.
"This is the first time a woman has rejected me. My handsomeness is even doubted." Cakra chuckled amusedly.
"What was her name again? Agatha, right?" Cakra guessed, then nodded and confirmed his own words.
"An interesting girl. It seems I'm starting to like her."
Cakra's smile widened even more. He put his hands in his pant pockets, then walked towards a place that would make him meet Agatha again.
He already had a brilliant plan in his mind. Cakra was certainly impatient to carry it out.
"She's the girl from that bar that time, right? Because of her, I almost got humiliated."
Cakra still clearly remembered Agatha's sweet face back then. An incident he never forgot because Agatha was whisked away by Jayden, his enemy.
"And just now she rejected me?" Cakra laughed briefly before his expression suddenly turned serious. "We'll see, I'll make you submit."
"How dare she not like me," Cakra added with a clenched fist and a vengeful smirk.
***
Agatha's face was still scowling in annoyance after dealing with that flirtatious man. The Cakra in her initial imagination was just a friendly man like most of the ones she had met, but what she saw earlier made her shudder. Even on their first meeting, Cakra was already acting overly familiar.
Ah, to hell with his position, Agatha felt no need to lie to her feelings that she was indeed uncomfortable being around him.
"Why did it take so long? Do you have a stomachache?" Aluna asked as soon as Agatha sat down in front of her again. She had wanted to follow because Agatha didn't come back.
"I had to deal with Kak Grace. There was a small altercation." Agatha deliberately didn't mention her encounter with Cakra because she didn't want to cause a commotion.
"Again?"
"She started it. I just gave her a little enlightenment." Agatha snorted loudly at the end of the sentence.
Aluna immediately shook her head and sighed deeply. "Goodness, you. Since the incident with the damaged iPhone, you've been dealing with senior Grace often. I hope you can behave until all your problems with her are resolved."
Agatha's brows furrowed hearing Aluna seemingly defending Grace. "Do you think my attitude so far has been bad?"
"It's not like that." Aluna put her phone on the table, then looked at Agatha seriously. "Senior Grace might do anything to you. I'm worried she'll go too far because you often argue with her."
"So do you mean I have to stay silent when he belittles my dignity? I didn't expect you to tell me to give in even though you know he's the one who's wrong, Lun." Agatha chuckled softly, feeling disappointed that her only friend didn't support her actions.
Aluna was taken aback, suddenly enveloped in guilt. "I'm sorry, this is also for your own good. I didn't have any intention, Agatha."
"I understand. The mindset of the rich is indeed different from the poor."
Aluna shook her head in disagreement. "Agatha, I—"
"Yes, I understand. Let's go to the auditorium, the seminar will start soon, right?" Agatha immediately stood up with a forced smile.
Aluna looked at her for a moment, realizing that Agatha didn't want to prolong the issue. She then nodded slowly and stood up.
Agatha walked first, her smile fading. Replaced by pain and tightness in her chest.
"Well, it's a shame the front seats are already occupied by senior students. I thought we'd arrive early here." Aluna sighed in disappointment when they arrived at the auditorium, which was already crowded.
Agatha looked ahead, and it was true that the chairs there were already full. She just clicked her tongue lazily, then asked Aluna to sit at the very back with her in the corner. Aluna obeyed, though her face looked resigned.
"Is this Cakra guy really an idol for the ladies?" Agatha commented a moment after taking a seat.
Aluna's face immediately brightened at the question related to her idol.
"Of course. I'm one of them. I've told you, right, he's very friendly and handsome. If I have a chance to meet him up close, I really want to shake his hand and take a photo."
Agatha sneered seeing how happy Aluna was with Cakra. "What's so special about him besides that?"
"There's a lot more. You really don't know, do you?" Aluna turned with a shocked frown.
"He's not a top celebrity who can be seen on TV. How would I know," Agatha answered casually and honestly.
Aluna suddenly clicked her tongue in amazement. "You study too much. That's why you should open social media more often to know who's been talked about lately. Besides, he's also been on TV before. I still remember."
Agatha nodded disinterestedly without asking further. She chose to busy herself with her phone until the sound of cheers and applause that was disturbing forced her to shift her attention.
In just a few seconds, Agatha spontaneously clicked her tongue when she knew Cakra had arrived.
"Come on, clap for him, Agatha. Why is your reaction so ordinary?" Aluna, who had stood up and gotten excited, had already sat back down, immediately looking at Agatha in awe.
"Because he's nothing compared to Jayden Byanthara." Agatha was clearly thinking this answer.
Agatha then opened her small notebook to start writing down important things. "I'm just not in the mood to shout."
Aluna glared with wide eyes. She reflexively covered her own mouth. "Goodness. Look how extraordinary he is, Agatha! Open your eyes wide!"
Agatha ignored her and was busy taking notes as the seminar had started. "Instead of focusing on the material, you're just focused on his face."
Aluna chuckled. "Aren't you too?"
"No way. My notes are already full, look at yours, it's completely empty," Agatha snorted.
"I'll just copy from yours later, then."
Aluna propped her chin after saying that, staring at Cakra who was speaking in front. Aluna's smiling made Agatha sigh deeply.
She never imagined having a friend as crazy as that about Cakra, whom she found to be overly flirtatious and annoying.
A few minutes passed as Agatha began to enjoy the seminar material, when suddenly she became the center of attention.
"The girl with long straight hair sitting in the farthest corner, please come forward!"
Agatha's eyes almost popped out, so shocked by that call. Not to mention all the eyes were on her and applauding enthusiastically. Agatha immediately felt hot and cold.
Aluna next to her was also extremely surprised. Her head turned spontaneously. "That's you, right, Agatha? Oh my god, he called you! Hurry up and go forward!"
Agatha closed her eyes briefly, holding back her annoyance, then opened them again with her fists clenched under the table. "You go, I don't want to. Just say I'm not feeling well."
Aluna glared and hit Agatha's arm. "Hey, you can't do that! He's already looking at you! Come on, go forward! This is a golden opportunity, Agatha! He's the campus director idolized by many people! It's a stroke of luck to be able to talk to him directly!"
"Please come forward, Agatha Marvelly!"
Cakra in front smiled victoriously, continuing to look at Agatha even though the girl glared back at him sharply.
"Huh? He knows your name?" Aluna really wanted to scream if she didn't quickly cover her mouth.
Agatha's jaw tightened as she realized something, she couldn't help but curse in her heart, "Damn, that man must have deliberately pointed me out."
