To Know About You
"Oh, wait a minute. What I know is that the CEO of that apartment is Jayden Byanthara, if I'm not mistaken."
Agatha's already wide eyes with long, lush lashes widened even more upon hearing Aluna's answer. It turned out that her guess, which she thought was wrong, was actually the truth.
"What?" Agatha was so shocked that she stammered and couldn't control her expression.
Aluna frowned in confusion. "Have you ever met him?"
Agatha quickly shook her head after clearing her throat briefly. "Ah, no. How could I? I've only just heard his name."
Aluna nodded while continuing to eat. "I haven't met him either. But what I know is that he already has a daughter. It's really a shame, isn't it."
"Huh? Why?" Agatha resumed eating with a furrowed brow.
"He's a widowed father. Even though he's still young and handsome. If only he wasn't involved in a scandal, there would be a lot of women who wouldn't be heartbroken." Aluna sighed deeply and put on a sad face.
"Scandal? Don't tell me he's the biological son..." Agatha thought in shock silently.
"Gosh, crazy. Truly crazy," she continued in her mind. She never imagined she could live in the same place as that man. The biological son of a wealthy family.
"If only Jayden Byanthara was still single, I might have nominated myself. And there would definitely be a lot of women lining up to be his partner." Aluna grumbled again, still lamenting Jayden's background.
"Can't he now?" Agatha looked up after staring at the food in her bowl, Aluna's words made her curious.
Aluna clicked her tongue slightly, remembering the information from the gossip group. "Now he's hard to approach because of his daughter. If it were me, I don't like little kids. Some women are like that too because they're very troublesome. Moreover, his daughter seems to be cold towards the women who get close to her father."
Agatha was silent, then spontaneously smiled thinly. "I see, no wonder."
"Maybe this is why Jayden wants me to be Layla's caretaker," she added in her mind. Now she understood that Jayden was having a hard time finding a woman suitable for Layla.
"No wonder what?" Aluna said when she heard Agatha's murmur.
However, Agatha clearly didn't want her friend to know about her and Jayden. So she just shook her head. "What's the name of this campus director?"
"You don't know?"
Aluna, seeing Agatha shaking her head with a innocent face, immediately widened her eyes. "Goodness."
Agatha grinned, just saying she was a bit out of the loop. Because that was indeed the fact. Agatha then saw Aluna starting to take a deep breath, as if she was going to explain something long. The girl's face also suddenly became cheerful as usual when talking about her ideal man.
"So, his name is Cakra Dirgantara. A man with a firm jawline, a straight nose, and fair skin. He has a muscular and tall build. He's friendly and likes to spread smiles to the women. When you see him, you'll think he likes you because of his sweet smile."
Aluna hadn't lost her smile throughout her explanation. Meanwhile, Agatha just chuckled amusedly, but wasn't interested in asking anything.
"Okay. Thank you." Agatha then stood up after finishing her food and drink.
"Huh, where are you going?" Aluna reflexively snapped out of her daydream when she heard the sound of the chair being pushed.
"Restroom. Wanna come?" Agatha offered, almost making Aluna's eyes pop out from widening them.
Agatha chuckled at Aluna's curt response afterwards. She hurried to leave the canteen and go to the restroom.
However, suddenly before she got there, she had to meet the old hag in the corridor who was walking in the opposite direction. Agatha clicked her tongue lazily, but unexpectedly Grace suddenly bumped her arm.
"Hey, you bastard! Did you do that on purpose?" Grace accused, immediately glaring sharply at Agatha.
"Ah, sorry. It was an accident." Agatha pretended to be guilty by lowering her head, but then looked up with a slight smile.
"Maybe you're the one who's deliberately looking for trouble?"
Grace spontaneously widened her eyes. Her hands clenched tightly, holding back her annoyance. "You poor girl! How dare you say that! Why would I do something useless with you? Huh!"
Agatha shrugged indifferently, then nodded calmly. "Okay, I was just asking. Excuse me then."
Grace, who was not satisfied, immediately grabbed Agatha's arm as the girl was about to walk away again. "You really have no shame, do you?"
At first Agatha didn't want to argue and play it safe, but Grace ended up provoking her emotions. She saw Grace's hand on her arm, clicked her tongue, then slowly released it. Patiently, Agatha turned her head, furrowing her brows.
"What do you mean?"
Grace rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "After ruining my phone, you have no shame."
"What part of me shows that I have no shame?" Agatha retorted, now fully facing Grace.
"If you had shame, how could you dare to defy me? But it turns out you're very disrespectful towards your senior. After making a mistake, you should have been able to behave, not just do as you please." Grace scoffed irritably, the empty corridor allowing her to easily put Agatha down.
"Behave?" Agatha almost couldn't hold back her laughter. It seemed Grace was toying with her.
Agatha stepped closer in front of Grace. Looking at her casually. "Didn't I apologize earlier? I'm actually confused, why is it only me who has to be polite? Why aren't you? Does the senior position alone give you enough power to feel superior?"
"Don't you know who I am?"
"Who?" Agatha smiled amusedly. "The daughter of the donor who has contributed a lot of investment to this campus? But is that something you did yourself? Wasn't it your father?"
Grace was completely defeated. Her emotions were further ignited. "You really are!"
Agatha changed her expression to flat. Looking at Grace without emotion, even though she was actually very annoyed. "Without your parents' position, you're nothing. You're on par with other students. Unless you've earned a degree yourself, then you can be proud and feel superior to others."
"Damn it! I don't need your advice! I don't need it!" Grace shouted uncontrollably. She still wanted to maintain her image, but her patience ran out because of Agatha.
Agatha just remained silent, returning Grace's vengeful gaze. She could see it from the expression on her face and body language. Grace seemed to want to slap her, but Agatha was not intimidated.
She was about to respond when someone's voice suddenly made Agatha frown. Grace in front of her even immediately looked anxious.
"Stop."
"You're... Cakra, aren't you?" Grace immediately put on a smile, even though she was caught red-handed for her rude behavior earlier.
"Cakra who?" Agatha suddenly thought of something as she noticed Grace's expression.
"Don't fight here. I don't like women who like to argue," Cakra warned as he walked closer with a gentle smile.
Embarrassed, Grace immediately nodded and bowed her head. She didn't care about Agatha who was still there. The important thing was that in front of Cakra, she had to try to suck up.
Grace then left without saying anything to the puzzled Agatha. She then turned around to see who had made Grace immediately obey. As soon as she saw his face, Agatha furrowed her brow even more.
"Hey, that was cool just now," Cakra, who was standing right in front of Agatha, praised with a sweet smile.
"Who are you?" Agatha looked at him suspiciously, his smile didn't make her heart flutter, but rather made her suspicious.
Cakra blinked briefly, then chuckled at the unfamiliar question. "Don't you know? Okay, let me introduce myself. My name is Cakra Dirgantara. Nice to meet you."
Agatha immediately thought of something she remembered. "Isn't that the name Aluna was talking about earlier? Is he really the one?"
Agatha was sure of her guess, so she nodded briefly. Although reluctantly, she returned Cakra's handshake. "Agatha Marvelly."
Cakra smiled, feeling her soft palm. For a moment he looked at her, then released it. "Didn't you realize I've been watching you this whole time?"
Agatha had no interest in responding at length, so she just shook her head. Again, she had to postpone washing her face in the restroom.
It's true what Aluna said, the campus director was indeed very friendly with his smiles. Unfortunately, it didn't make Agatha swoon, she was just uncomfortable. Cakra's charm was even ordinary to her.
"I'm really impressed, truly. It's rare for me to see a sight like that when I'm here. You were so brave with that girl." Cakra continued to smile, especially seeing Agatha who seemed indifferent.
Agatha nodded briefly. "Thank you, but why are you still here?"
"Isn't it allowed?" Cakra chuckled amusedly, not expecting to be kicked out. "I actually wanted to chat with you."
"Is there anything else to discuss?"
"You." Cakra answered spontaneously, then smiled meaningfully. "I want to know more about you."
