Chapter 32 - Wrong Target
At Mrs. Rose's house, Kayle, who had brought all the evidence of Angeline's behavior and her relationship with Bryan, demanded a large payment.
"So you came here to provide evidence of Angeline's affair?" Mrs. Rose asked and Kayle nodded her head.
"You are right, and because I dared to do all this. I am asking for a lot of money. "So I can go abroad and live in peace," Kayle said with a mischievous smile.
Mrs. Rose smiled a little dismissively. He couldn't believe that a little rat would dare to blackmail him like that. Even though Mrs. Rose had never told him to do that.
"How much do you want to pay?" asked Mrs. Rose. Kayle smiled broadly as if she had won the lottery. He also thought long enough to determine the price he deserved.
"A billion, I think this information is very expensive," Kayle said.
Mrs. Rose laughed out loud at the price Kayle offered.
"You cunning woman, you are truly unpredictable. "Okay, I'll give it to you, but all these photos and statements of yours are completely worthless."
"What do you mean? I've worked hard to collect all this, knowing that I'll end up getting fired if they find out!" said Kayle, groaning angrily.
"I don't know you at all to even tell you to do this. Besides, I know that Bryan and his wife don't love each other at all. They only had a marriage on paper. And... it's normal that they don't sleep in the same room, right?"
"So you're saying everything I did was for nothing?" said Kayle finally. He was very angry because rich people were all the same. He couldn't even appreciate everything he had done, even though he had risked his future.
"You know that, but you still dare to come here? Don't you know that Bryan is better than me?"
"What?"
"I mean, I'm a mean old woman. Not only will you be fired, but you will be arrested and imprisoned for spreading your reputation and taking illegal pictures. Don't you know who you're blackmailing?"
"UNLUCKY!" Kayle rebelled and roared in annoyance. He couldn't believe he'd walked into the wrong lion's den.
Kayle really didn't know that Mrs. Rose was crueler than Bryan. He regretted that he had done something so harmful to himself and that he had dared death to come here.
Mrs. Rose just laughed when she saw Kayle so angry and blinded with rage. But to be honest, Mrs. Rose liked Kayle a little. His bravery and treachery could put Mrs. Rose in danger.
Therefore, Mrs. Rose, who was happy to get the information she really wanted, pretended that she didn't need to teach Kayle a lesson for daring to blackmail her. The woman who had the deepest hatred for Angeline blinded her and decided to take advantage.
"But... if you are willing to obey me, I will let you go and give you a hundred million."
"What? One hundred million? Isn't that a very unreasonable offer? I asked for a billion, and you're only going to give me a hundred million? You really can't count, can you?
"Is a hundred million worth nothing compared to going to jail and paying a fine? I bet you have absolutely no money.
The most interesting thing about negotiating with people who really need money is that it is easy to manipulate them and take advantage of them. Attack them on their weaknesses. It made them panic and finally give up and do what Mrs. Rose wanted. It was very easy for Mrs. Rose.
"Okay, what do you want me to do? "If it's successful, I want you to double my fee," Kayle said, raising the offer. Mrs. Rose laughed again.
"You really are a cunning woman."
"Look for evidence that they only had a contract marriage, whether it's original documents or just photos. I'll give you a week to do it."
Kayle returned to Bryan's house with eyes radiating enormous anger. He really didn't expect to come back here after thinking he was going to get a billion. It turns out that Mrs. Rose is not so easy to conquer.
"Where were you? Why did you leave without saying anything?" the butler scolded Kayle, who had just changed clothes.
"I'm sorry, I had urgent business to attend to," Kayle said with her head bowed.
"I will forgive you just this once. But there won't be a second time, I heard you work here. So follow the rules and don't come and go as you please. Remember, if you make one more fatal mistake, I will immediately fire all your colleagues," the butler threatened and went into the kitchen.
There, Amber and the other friends looked at Kayle with annoyance, very embarrassed by Kayle's completely uncooperative attitude.
"Wow...does he think he's a boss? How can he leave and then come back on a whim?" Amber quipped, nudging Kayle's shoulder as she left. The other friends did the same, making Kayle even angrier and promising to get back at them.
"I will reward you, just watch me. I will definitely get you in trouble," Kayle said, exuding enormous hatred and resentment.
Angeline had just woken up in the morning and was reluctant to leave the room. He was bored and didn't want to garden. His body was getting tired and he just wanted to stay in the room in silence.
Bryan, who was already tidying up, stared at Angeline's bedroom door, which was still closed. He saw an empty dining table without Angeline.
"Where is Angeline?" Bryan asked his aunt.
"Still in his room, sir."
"He hasn't had breakfast?" Bryan asked in surprise.
"I will take breakfast to his room. It seems Mrs. Angeline isn't feeling well, even Madam vomited last night and couldn't sleep well."
"Is that true?"
Bryan's cell phone rang and it was John.
"Yes," Bryan answered and Bibi said goodbye to the kitchen.
"President, we have to go on a business trip to London. The client there has asked to meet with you in person," John announced suddenly.
"When?"
"Now. We don't have time, so I'll prepare the plane separately. Can the president go straight to the airport now?"
"Okay, I'll be right there. Get the plane ready quickly."
Bryan didn't finish his coffee, he hadn't even touched his breakfast and left immediately. As he was getting into the car, Bryan stopped and turned toward the house. It was as if he found it hard to leave. But there was no more time, so Bryan decided to leave without saying goodbye to Angeline.
