Chapter 42 - Difficult Request
In the afternoon, Angeline, who was bored, decided to take a walk around the house. Bryan gave him the freedom to go anywhere as long as he was accompanied by a bodyguard. He felt very refreshed and began to stretch his arms. Shortly after Angeline passed a house, she was startled by a barking dog that frightened Angeline.
"Waaaa!" Angeline yelled and tried to run away.
"Don't run!" shouted a man coming out of his house. Angeline froze. The man knelt down and called to his dog. The dog obeyed and immediately ran toward the man.
"Good boy," said the man, who was very fond of his dog.
"Forgive my dog. He's been sensitive lately. But this is the first time I've seen you," the man said, looking Angeline up and down.
"Oh, yes, I live around here, and I'm married too," Angeline whispered, showing her wedding ring for fear of being seduced. The man laughed amusedly.
"Okay!" the man whispered again.
"Sunny, here, apologize to Auntie for surprising her," the man ordered, calling to his dog who was busy eating alone.
"Although there's no need, because it seems Sunny was the one who was surprised to see me earlier. Right?" said Angeline kindly. Angeline also tried to pet Sunny and felt the soft fur of the dog.
"What's your name?" the man asked.
"I'm Angeline, who are you?" Angeline asked back.
"Alex, are you out for your evening walk?" the son said with a smile.
"Yes."
"Stop by the cafe at the end of this street. I have opened a pretty good cafe for beauties like you."
"Of course, I promise I will come to your cafe hehhe." Angeline smiled broadly and said goodbye to go home. He was very tired.
"Okay, be careful on the way," Alex said friendly.
Angeline continued her steps and Alex just stared at Angeline's departure.
"This is a wonderful destiny," he muttered.
At the hotel, Bryan took a shower to clear his mind. When he was done, Bryan put on a kimono towel. Then he lay down on the bed, his mind drifting back to Angeline.
"I missed you, Angeline," Bryan murmured. Just then his cell phone rang.
Without looking at who was calling him, Bryan answered immediately.
"I know you're in the shower and you miss being cuddled, I'm still at the hotel," Viola said in a spoiled voice.
Bryan was surprised to hear that and hung up immediately.
"Wow... almost crazy. Crazy woman!" Bryan cursed irritably. He took a deep breath and calmed down. Bryan decided to call Angeline.
"Hi, what are you doing?" Bryan asked when Angeline answered the phone.
"Just finished my evening walk, what are you up to?"
Knock... Knocking...
Bryan fell silent when he heard a knock at his bedroom door. He turned to the door and let out an annoyed sigh. Angeline was confused because Bryan remained silent and did not react to her words.
"Bryan, why are you so quiet?" asked Angeline in surprise.
"It's nothing. "It's just that someone knocked on the door," Bryan replied, looking at the ceiling.
"Okay, I'm going to hang up."
"Don't. "Just leave it, I know who is knocking on my door," Bryan said.
"Who, really? Until you don't want to see him and keep talking to me?" Angeline asked.
"Viola, my business partner, who has a crazy imagination. He wants to spend the night with me," Bryan answered honestly without obfuscating.
"Wow! He offered? That's amazing, but it's not his fault, my husband is very tempting. "There are so many women who want to spend the night with you," Angeline teased, who wasn't angry to hear a woman flirting with Bryan.
"How can you say that? Aren't you angry at all?" asked Bryan, annoyed to hear Angeline say that.
"Why should I be angry? You must be lonely there. Why not play with it and turn off the phone?" said Angeline, testing Bryan's loyalty.
"Angeline, listen, basically there's nothing I want but my wife," Bryan said, even boasting. Still, Angeline knew those words were sincere and not a lie.
"What... beautiful Viola?" asked Angeline, curious about the woman who had been rejected by Bryan.
"Do I have to answer?"
"You must be beautiful, you must be happy to be pursued by a beautiful woman."
"No one is more beautiful than my wife. If I can show that to the world, they must be jealous of me," Bryan teased, causing Angeline to feel embarrassed.
"What the hell, how come it doesn't work? I need to rest. I'm so tired of walking alone in the evening," Angeline said and looked at the clock, which was already six o'clock in the evening.
"Well, that's it then. I'll call you in the morning," Bryan promised.
"Okay, good job Bryan," Angeline said and ended her call immediately.
Bryan hung up the phone. He sighed again. Remote work like this really made him unable to restrain himself. Bryan stood up and put on his casual clothes. He grabbed a soda from the fridge and took out his laptop. He sat back on the couch and started to turn on the laptop.
Bryan looked so serious that he drank three bottles of soda. Tired, he made some hot coffee and got back to work.
The next morning, Bryan and John held a meeting in the conference room provided by the hotel. Viola was already there along with the other employees. Meanwhile, Bryan kept his face neutral.
When the meeting started, Viola again disagreed with Bryan and made the meeting atmosphere heated and uncontrollable.
"Let's take a break first," Bryan said, ending the meeting.
Bryan got up and left the meeting room. Viola followed him and poked Bryan in the waist.
"What are you doing?" Bryan asked angrily.
"Why are you angry? Do you think my request is too difficult?" asked Viola with an innocent face.
"Did you think it was easy? "Even a profit of more than ten percent is beyond our capabilities," Bryan said.
"Then sleep with me. "Then I will accept our end of the deal," Viola said, winking.
Bryan was furious and held back his anger. Viola even dared to touch Bryan's chest by moving them closer together.
"How? My request is not that difficult. If you can't do it, just close your eyes. "Let me satisfy you, darling," Viola teased.
Bryan looked at her annoyed and didn't understand how such a stubborn woman could exist. She made him want to go home and fall right into Angeline's arms.
Bryan stopped Viola's hand from touching his face.
"Viola, I beg you not to mix personal matters with work. Do you realize that you have caused a lot of people trouble?" Bryan asked with a sharp look.
"Okay, I give up. If you can't sleep with me, you can have dinner with me. Alone, without company. "But I picked the place," Viola said, trying to lobby.
Bryan thought hard, he looked at all the employees who were calming down inside with a cup of coffee. Bryan took a deep breath and looked at Viola coldly.
"Fine, but only for one hour. "No more," Bryan said, finally agreeing to Viola's request. He returned to the room and resumed that day's meeting.
