Chapter 56 - Old Friends
As she was about to go home, someone happened to recognize Angeline and greeted her.
"Angeline? My goodness, it's been a long time since I've seen you," said a woman who recognized Angeline.
Angeline looked awkward and confused as to how to respond. She looked at Bryan, who nodded, indicating that it was no problem to return her greeting.
"Chelsea, huh? "It's been a long time since we've seen each other," Angeline said back, glancing at the man next to her.
"This is my girlfriend. His name is Chiko. Who's the one behind you?" Chelsea asked and looked at Bryan who smiled at the two of them.
"Ah... this -"
"Let me introduce myself, I'm Bryan. "Angeline's husband," Bryan interrupted, introducing himself and surprising Angeline.
"Wow... you're married. I heard about that, but I thought it was a lie."
"You... where did you hear that? "I... even though I didn't invite anyone," Angeline asked nervously. She didn't understand how the news of his marriage could spread.
"I heard you got married to a businessman, you know Kimberly? "He said he saw your wedding invitation in his father's office," Chelsea explained.
Bryan was shocked, forgetting that something like this was bound to happen and was inevitable.
"Did you guys just come to play in the ocean?" Bryan asked, changing the subject.
"We just got home and we want to go to the playground, Angeline, why don't you come too?" Chelsea offered.
Angeline hesitated and looked back at Bryan asking for his opinion. Bryan remembered his conversation with John, who had said that they still didn't have all the evidence. They needed more moments to show their affection.
"Okay, we'll go there together," Bryan replied, making the four of them smile happily.
"Okay, let's make an appointment then," Chelsea said and said goodbye to her car.
"Are you really going there?" Angeline asked in surprise.
"I thought you liked places like this. It's Sunday, there must be a lot of couples there, right?"
"You're right, it's fun!" Angeline cheered and happily got into the car.
A few moments later, Chiko and Chelsea were waiting outside the amusement park, eating ice cream. They looked annoyed because Bryan and Angeline took so long to arrive.
"Do you want to go in first? "Looks like waiting inside is more fun than waiting here," Chiko said, inviting Chelsea to enter the amusement park first. Chelsea nodded and went to the counter first.
"Hi, order tickets for two," Chelsea said.
"Okay, that'll be thirty thousand dollars," the cashier said. Chelsea also gave the correct amount of money.
"Here are the tickets. "Please go inside and an officer will direct you," said the cashier and Chelsea took Chiko to the amusement park with a happy feeling.
The two of them entered the amusement park. They were quite stunned because the place was quite big.
"It's a shame that Bryan and Angeline haven't come yet, let's go around and play!" Chiko asked and Chelsea nodded. They started walking around and went on several rides.
Meanwhile Angeline looks annoyed because Bryan's car broke down in the middle of the road. Bryan tries to fix his car.
"Is it much longer? "If it's still a long time, we'll just call a tow truck and take a taxi to the amusement park," Angeline says, annoyed by the long wait.
"I'm sorry, okay?" said Bryan, who had finally finished repairing his car. His face had oil stains. Angeline smiled amusedly when she saw him.
Angeline took a wet cloth from her bag. He also wiped Bryan's face, which was covered in oil, making their faces too close. Bryan felt nervous seeing Angeline's face so close.
Bryan's heart was beating fast and Angeline, who was nearby, could hear it. Angeline, realizing this, immediately stopped what she was doing and gave Bryan a wet handkerchief.
"Clean yourself up," Angeline said and got back into her car. He fanned his face, which was red and hot.
Bryan felt the same, he sighed because he felt nervous. Bryan got into the car after he felt calmer. Angeline showed a photo of Chiko and Chelsea who had entered the playground and started to play.
"Look, we're late and they've already started playing. "Hurry up and go, I don't want the playground to get busier and we can't play to our satisfaction because we've been in line for too long," Angeline said, making Bryan start the car immediately.
Her car was successfully repaired and Bryan drove her car to the playground. When they arrived at the amusement park, Bryan immediately bought tickets for himself and Angeline. After getting the tickets, they went inside.
Angeline picked up her cell phone and tried to call Chelsea.
"Hello, Chelsea. Where are you? I'm at the playground. Can you come to the knick-knack shop? "Yes, I'll wait here," Angeline said and ended the call.
"Chiko and Chelsea will be here," Angeline said and Bryan nodded in understanding.
Angeline looked around the shop while he waited for Chiko and Chelsea. He saw several headbands in the shape of animal ears and chose one in the shape of a rabbit. And another one in the shape of white and pink cat ears and immediately put it on. Then he approached Bryan, who was looking around.
"Bryan... bow your head a little," Angeline asked Bryan spoiled.
Bryan was stunned to see Angeline wearing a headband shaped like cat ears. Without thinking, Bryan followed Angeline's request and lowered his head.
A mischievous smile appeared on Angeline's face. He immediately put a rabbit-eared headband on Bryan's head.
"Ugh, funny. "Lovely," Angeline said and pinched Bryan's cheeks hard.
"Ah! Ah!" Bryan screamed in pain. But when he saw Angeline's face smiling broadly because she was happy, Bryan was stunned.
His heart started beating fast again as their faces were quite close. His eyes even looked down at Angeline's pink lips.
"Beautiful," Bryan muttered absently. Angeline, who heard this, was shocked.
"What? What did you say? Beautiful?" Angeline asked, drawing Bryan's attention. Bryan immediately stepped back and tried to control his feelings. Angeline smiled happily to be praised as beautiful.
"Angelina! Bryan!" called Chiko and Chelsea came over to them.
"Chelsea, we finally meet again. Sorry to keep you waiting so long. My car broke down. "Luckily Bryan was able to fix it without having to call a mechanic," Angeline explained happily.
"It's okay, I can play with Chiko alone. It's fun here too. By the way, that headband you're wearing is cute. "I want to use it too," Chelsea said.
Angeline took Chelsea to choose different headbands. Meanwhile, Bryan was silent and looked nervously at Angeline, who looked very beautiful at that time. Chiko, who saw this, realized it. He smiled mischievously.
