Chapter 41 - Temptation
Early in the morning, Angeline awoke from her sleep. He was a little surprised to see Bryan's handsome face right in front of his eyes. He smiled happily. Angeline's hand reached out and touched Bryan's face. Her fingers traced Bryan's handsome face and began to stare at him with a sweet smile.
From the eyebrows, eyes, nose to Bryan's lips, which Angeline really missed. Angeline's heart was beating so fast.
"Bryan..." Angeline called, waking Bryan.
"Hmm... Angeline. Are you awake?" asked Bryan who was still sleepy.
"When did you get here?" asked Angeline with a small smile.
"Just now, I ...." Bryan's words stopped, he closed his eyes again and looked very tired.
"Why? What... Is someone sick? Is your head dizzy? What about your body? Are you still weak?" Angeline asked without stopping. Bryan just smiled at all of Angeline's questions. He leaned in closer and buried his head in Angeline's embrace.
"Nothing... I'm glad you're here Angeline. I'm so sleepy," Bryan whispered and closed his eyes again.
"All right, sleep again. I'll still be here to hug you," Angeline said quietly. She tightened her hug.
Bryan looked up. He stared into Angeline's sparkling eyes. The smile continued to grow on his face. Bryan slowly moved his face closer. He kissed Angeline's lips softly.
Angeline was surprised, but she didn't think about it. She gently returned Bryan's kiss. Both of them felt a longing that never stopped and never went away. It's always like this when Bryan doesn't come home from work and makes Angeline feel lonely. But Angeline was very happy. Because Bryan always came home when he was done with his work.
After what happened to her two weeks ago and the news of her pregnancy, Angeline and Bryan became closer. Bryan always made time for Angeline and made Angeline less lonely.
Bryan ate his breakfast with Angeline, who was always smiling. Even though she couldn't finish her meal because of the constant nausea, it hadn't made Angeline unhappy for the past two weeks.
"Why are you smiling? What about your nausea?"
"I've been taking medicine and I'm not too nauseous. But I'm still weak, I'm just happy."
"Why happy?
"Seeing you eating breakfast with me these days makes me feel like I'm really your wife," Angeline said.
"I really want to be with you all day, but I can't leave my job. Should I take maternity leave?" asked Bryan enthusiastically.
"Don't take so many days off, I'm fine after taking the medicine. Just don't forget to come home on time," Angeline said with a big smile.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you, I have to go out of town today to meet a client."
"What? For how long?"
"Probably about three days, I'm sorry."
"That's okay, I'll wait for you when you get home."
"Find activities for your pregnancy. I heard that pregnant women need to move around a lot and exercise."
"Okay, I'll look around here. Don't forget to eat."
Bryan smiled and took Angeline's hand. He kissed her tenderly and made Angeline happy.
Bryan had a meeting with a client from out of town. He waited in an open restaurant with a gentle breeze. Bryan was handsomely dressed in a beige suit. He is wearing a luxury watch and sunglasses. Blocking the rather hot sunlight.
Bryan was sitting with one leg resting on the other. Accompanied by a cup of Americano coffee that is getting cold. Bryan was quite annoyed because he had waited more than ten minutes after the promised time. As he was about to get up, he saw a woman walking towards him. Her steps were so elegant in a white thigh-high mini dress.
Her wavy hair was loose. Diamond earrings completed her look. She was wearing a glittery blazer that was draped over her shoulders. The sound of clicking heels stopped Bryan's movements and he looked at the woman who immediately stopped in front of him.
"Miss Viola?" Bryan asked, removing his sunglasses.
"Bryan? "Good afternoon, sorry I'm late," Viola said, holding out her hand. Her style was so cheeky that it made Bryan smile awkwardly.
"Nice to meet you, no problem. Please have a seat," Bryan said, taking Viola's outstretched hand and inviting her to sit down.
The two started talking about working together, which was almost over. Bryan does not agree with Viola's way of working, which is contrary to the vision and mission of his company.
"Wow... you are really cruel, Bryan. How can you choose an unimportant employee over our cooperation?" said Viola in disbelief. He leaned over and looked at Bryan with wide eyes.
"Because I can still find another company that is more competent and has the same vision and mission as mine," Bryan replied. He picked up his coffee cup and took a sip.
"Okay, I give in. I will cancel the plan, but on one condition," Viola said, finally giving in. He straightened his body and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Go on a date with me," Viola continued and surprised Bryan by spitting out the coffee he was drinking.
"What?"
"Of course it's not just a date. But a one-night stand," Viola explained again with her flirtatious eyes.
"Are you done talking? I'm leaving," Bryan said, ending the meeting with a hovering decision. He stood up and started to leave.
"The decision is yours, Bryan. I... will wait for your answer," Viola said, stopping Bryan's footsteps.
Bryan, who was furious, said nothing and walked away. Viola smiled sarcastically. He really likes Bryan's style.
"Ah ... this is really no fun," he said and got up from his seat.
Viola caught up with Bryan who was already on his way to the hotel room which was on the top floor. As Bryan entered the elevator, Viola also entered the elevator and made Bryan raise an eyebrow in surprise.
"Why didn't you accept my offer right away?" Viola asked after the elevator doors closed.
"Your offer is crazy. Don't joke like that," Bryan replied coldly.
When the elevator doors opened, Bryan hurried out.
"Where are you going? Are you really going to do it with me?" Viola asked, chasing after Bryan. His face looked happy with a happy smile as he followed Bryan's footsteps to his room.
"Miss Viola," Bryan called as the two of them stood in front of Bryan's room.
"Yes," Viola replied happily.
"Have a good rest and don't bother me anymore," Bryan said and entered his room. He even slammed the door in front of Viola's face.
"Man, he really sells hard. Makes me very excited," Viola said smiling happily. He entered the room next to Bryan's.
Bryan threw the jacket he had taken off on the sofa. He grabbed a bottle of mineral water from the fridge and drank it down. Bryan really couldn't believe that there was a woman like Viola. She openly teased him.
