Chapter 82 - Departure
Bryan had arrived home. He entered his room and felt the emptiness. Angeline was no longer there. Then Bryan went to his private room. There were the baby things they had bought together with Angeline. Bryan looked at the crib for Semesta that had never been used. He pulled out a decorative toy that emitted a soft lullaby for their baby. It was a shame that none of it would ever be used.
Bryan felt sad as he remembered all this. He sat down on his bed, picked up his phone and called John.
"Have you found any evidence that this was all Madam Rose's doing?" Bryan asked, his tone still calm but filled with anger.
"I'm sorry, CEO, but so far we haven't found any evidence. But the more we investigate, the more strange and unusual everything seems. The people who crashed into you and Angeline both committed suicide on the same day."
"What did you do? Why can't you find any clues? Hurry up and find all the evidence, even if you have to fabricate it! I... can't be patient anymore," Bryan ordered, raising his voice. He was very angry and frustrated with all of Madam Rose's actions.
The next day, Angeline and Alex were already at the airport. Angeline remembered all the sweet memories she had with Bryan. She made sure that this would be the last time she recalled those memories.
"I used to want something I couldn't have. Lately, I wanted to be a good wife to you." In this memory, the romance between Bryan and Angeline was evident. Angeline lovingly ruffled Bryan's hair as they played and teased each other. "You'd leave your tie on when you came home from work and make dinner while you were in the shower. Then we'd talk about your day at the dinner table and fall asleep with my head on your arm as I said good night to you. It would be nice if we were really meant to be together.
Bryan was shocked to hear that Angeline was leaving the country. He immediately left for the airport. When he arrived at the airport, he started looking for Angeline. "You once told me that it would be fate if we met in a good situation." "Angeline!" Bryan called to Angeline and for some reason Angeline heard him. But she was a bit unsure. "It wouldn't hurt so much if we were really meant to be together. Even if we meet again later, pretend we don't know each other. Bryan, take care of yourself," Angeline thought as she stroked her stomach. Angeline walked with Alex to the departure area. Her steps were hesitant, but once again she was convinced that this was the best way.
Bryan couldn't find Angeline and called her name as loud as he could. But Angeline didn't hear him; her plane was about to take off. All Bryan could do was say goodbye.
"Goodbye, Angeline... Semesta."
Three years later, a stylish woman in beautiful pink high heels was seen at the airport. She carried her suitcase with grace. She wore a purple skirt that occasionally revealed her slender legs. Her hair was red and she wore glasses that framed her sweet face. She was Angeline, and she no longer looked like an innocent girl. Behind her, a two and a half year old boy with the same style ran to catch up with Angeline. His cute and handsome face made the airport visitors feel fond of him. "Mommy!" the little boy shouted, and Angeline turned around with a smile. "Oh, honey, what took you so long?" Angeline said and opened her arms wide. The little boy ran into her arms. "Jason, are you hungry? Do you want Mommy to buy you some fried chicken?" Angeline asked as they walked. "Yes! Fried chicken!" Jason exclaimed with his sweet, lisping tongue.
By chance, a handsome man, who was none other than Bryan, crossed Angeline's path. They didn't recognize each other because Bryan himself looked different than before. Bryan seemed more masculine, sexy and charismatic.
Bryan stopped briefly and looked at a woman he had just passed. He felt that her body shape resembled that of Angeline, his ex-wife. But Bryan wasn't sure because the woman he saw did not look like his former innocent wife. However, he was disturbed by the little boy the woman was carrying.
"Maybe he's grown up now," Bryan muttered and turned away, dismissing his curiosity.
John came to meet Bryan at the airport. He jumped for joy because Bryan had arrived.
"CEO!" John exclaimed and hugged Bryan happily.
Meanwhile, Angeline smiled happily as Alex came to pick her up.
"Welcome, Jason," Alex said as she handed Jason a large robot.
"But you didn't have to buy him a toy. He already has lots of robots," Angeline replied to Alex's gift.
"I gave it to Jason, why are you getting mad?" Alex asked and received a playful slap from Angeline.
At a filming location, a man held a baby, apparently his child, and looked at the baby with great affection. Then he looked into the camera and said, "Hey, beautiful. Your name is Daddy. And this is soap for you, Daddy loves you."
The director looked pleased and immediately called "cut" because the scene had been executed perfectly.
"Director, can we do it again? I feel like the last take wasn't quite right," suggested a crew member.
"No, we can't. This is the third time. You're too meticulous; things that aren't too important don't need to be redone," the director said, and the crew member couldn't argue.
Suddenly, someone clapped, and it turned out to be Bryan. Bryan arrived with charismatic strides. Even the commercial actor there couldn't compete with Bryan's good looks. Bryan threw his jacket to one of the crew members who took it gratefully.
"What are you doing? Do you know how to hold a baby? It's not like what you were doing before," Bryan reprimanded and proceeded to demonstrate to the commercial actor how to hold a baby naturally, as if they were at home.
"Who are you?" the commercial actor asked Bryan, feeling irritated at being lectured to.
"Me? You don't need to know," Bryan replied and began to play with the tired baby.
A staff member approached and whispered something to the commercial actor, causing him to immediately show respect and treat the baby well.
"Do it right because even babies feel tired and uncomfortable," Bryan said again, giving the baby a sweet smile and making the baby laugh happily.
John was waiting for Bryan in the parking lot.
"CEO, you're 30 minutes late for your meeting with Dr. Edward. Dr. Edward might get mad at you," John complained.
"Dr. Edward's job is to get angry and inject me with ink. But I'll buy Dr. Edward some candy so he won't attack me later."
"All right," John agreed.
