Chapter 178: Big Brother Arrived
In fact, by taking a moment to consider, one could begin to comprehend some of the present circumstances. If in the future, people discovered that the once spoiled Amy had truly gone bad, and it was a kind of inherent badness, everyone would have been very disappointed, right?
With Martina and Elena teaming up, they guided Amy back into the restroom, but they didn't rush to take action. Instead, they continued with the mental suppression.
"Martina, our people should be arriving soon, right?" Elena followed the plan they had discussed earlier and spoke up. "I called a guy who's in great shape and strong. He's sure to put Amy in her place."
A faint smile played at the corner of Martina's eyes as she nodded, "He should be close. He messaged me just now, saying he's on his way. At most, it'll take him another 10 minutes to get here. Let's wait a bit longer. After all, no one else is coming right now. Time is on our side."
Immediately, turmoil filled Amy's mind. Could it be that Martina and Elena had really gone so far as to use the same methods on her? She recalled her actions towards Martina in the past.
Apart from repeatedly attempting to defile Martina's innocence, there were also multiple instances of employing her own tactics to completely destroy Martina.
Did Martina perhaps plan to employ these tactics to instill fear in Amy as well?
Even before Martina and Elena took any actions, Amy was already consumed by fear.
The mere thought of this possibility felt like a tremendous insult to Amy. It was as if she wished she could immediately end her own life right then and there. But she couldn't bring herself to do it, because she still wanted to live.
It was the only way she could hold on to the faint hope of continuing to be with Benjamin, no matter how slim that hope might be. Yet, she was still determined to give it a try. This had long become an obsession within her heart. How could she just let it slip through her fingers so easily?
At least, Amy couldn't.
As for what others thought, it didn't really matter. After all, the present Amy had already endured countless suppressions. How could she possibly give in so easily?
But the current situation had truly surpassed her imagination. Why would even Martina resort to such despicable tactics? Why, despite her meticulous hiding, had Martina still managed to uncover her? What was the reason behind all of this?
As the noises from outside grew increasingly loud and chaotic, Amy's confidence wavered even more. No, she absolutely couldn't allow herself to be treated this way.
If she truly lost her innocence because of this, then she would have completely lost her chance with Benjamin. Was Martina trying to drive her to the brink?
Right at this moment, footsteps could be heard from outside the door. The area around this private room had been cordoned off, and no one else was passing by.
Inside the private room, everyone continued eating and drinking, completely oblivious to these small details. From the beginning, Martina and Elena hadn't shown any signs of discord with Amy apart from sharing a drink, so naturally, no one paid much attention.
This was just a unique approach of Martina and Elena. Who would actually believe they had so much idle time to casually drink with someone like her? Martina was only trying to make her upcoming plans go more smoothly.
Amy was crying pitifully, begging incessantly from inside. "Martina, I was wrong, truly wrong. You can't treat me like this. If this matter reaches Benjamin's ears, he will definitely despise you."
"Let him despise me if he wants. After all, I never intended to get involved with Benjamin from the beginning," Martina remained unmoved, calmly saying. "Even if he does despise me, what does it matter? It doesn't have much to do with me and won't affect me."
Now, Martina was fearless, even if Benjamin did end up despising her. So what?
It would simply imply that they were destined to be like that. Martina didn't want to waste her time deliberately pursuing it.
At this moment, Amy was utterly terrified. Her eyes darted around the situation, but she couldn't find a way to escape.
Suddenly, she remembered her phone was still with her. She quickly made a desperate call for help, dialing a number without thinking. "Big brother, help! Big brother, please, help! Martina is trying to kill me!!"
In reality, Martina didn't have any intentions of actually doing that. She just wanted Amy to experience a lesson. After all, how else would Amy learn her lesson for the future? To her surprise, Amy immediately spun a lie without hesitation, claiming that Martina was trying to kill her. The lie flowed almost too smoothly.
Meanwhile, Adam, who had received Amy's distress message earlier, had rushed to the hotel. Hearing his sister's frantic call, he accelerated to top speed, pulling up right outside the hotel without bothering to find a proper parking spot.
But all they could hear through the phone was Adam's furious roar, "Martinez! You're really out of control! How dare you bully my sister! I'll make sure you regret it for the rest of your life!!"
Martina caught those faint noises and, of course, heard Adam's voice on the phone. After all, Amy had put the call on speaker, so those words couldn't be hidden even if they tried.
Elena looked at Martina with some concern and said, "Is this really okay? What if something unexpected happens..."
Before Elena could finish her sentence, Martina smiled and nodded, "Of course it's okay. Don't you forget how capable Leslie is? Trust me, there won't be any issues."
It was a bit strange, indeed. Leslie had practically become Martina's private bodyguard, but now he seemed to have disappeared without a trace.
Either he had gone off-duty without permission, or... he was intentionally doing so at Martina's behest. Considering the current situation, the latter possibility seemed more likely.
When Adam rushed over in a flurry, he saw Martina and Elena guarding the door. The two had managed to find chairs to sit on.
They gazed at Adam with a playful look, while behind him, a group of people followed. Upon a quick count, there were at least ten of them. They all looked like bodyguards, standing behind Adam with alertness, waiting for his command.
