Chapter 233: The Coolest Guy
In the presence of Martina, those people couldn't help but show a hint of amazement. Even with minimal makeup, she exuded an air of elegance and sophistication, making an unforgettable impression on those who laid eyes on her. It was quite rare to see someone so stunning and poised, especially someone who resided within the Walker family.
Previously, they had heard rumors about Benjamin having a longtime fiancée, but since they weren't officially engaged or married, some people found it hard to believe. Now, seeing the reality, they were amazed.
The real shocker was that this young lady was exceptionally attractive. Even to the seasoned stylists who worked with good-looking people daily, Martina's beauty was remarkable. They couldn't help but offer genuine compliments.
The head stylist, a renowned designer, was the first to inquire, "May I ask how we should address you?"
The others with her seemed to be assistants.
Martina descended the stairs and took a look at Jack, who looked remarkably refreshed today. In terms of attire and demeanor, he was markedly different from his usual self.
Martina responded to the stylist with a polite smile, saying, "Just call me Martina."
Of course, those people couldn't really call Martina's first name. They respectfully called her "Miss Martinez."
Martina's gaze then fell on Jack, and she sincerely exclaimed, "Jack, you look really cool today."
Although Jack was already quite old, hearing such a heartfelt compliment from Martina made him feel delighted.
"Thank you so much," he laughed and said. Then he told the stylists, 'By the way, you all must make sure to take good care of my granddaughter-in-law. Today, she must become the most beautiful star in the banquet."
The stylists nodded and said, "Don't worry, we've got this. Miss Martinez possesses natural beauty, even without makeup, she already stands out. Just wait and see once she's fully prepared."
Even without mentioning it, Jack knew it well. After all, he saw his future granddaughter-in-law's appearance every day; how could he not understand these things?
At this moment, Jack was sitting on the side, waiting, while Martina was held down at the table, and these people began "painting" her face.
Perhaps it was because she had such a good foundation that even with light makeup, it gave people the feeling that she looked good with makeup or without it. Even though the makeup artists had already seen her natural beauty, seeing it again up close made them have slightly different thoughts.
Especially with this close observation, they discovered that her skin was unbelievably flawless. Was this the difference between people? Why was she so good-looking, with such great skin, and a fantastic figure?
It seemed like there was nothing to fault, and the key was that she seemed so calm, as if she hadn't noticed her own superiority.
Truly, some people have all the luck, so during the following time, these stylists couldn't help but praise Martina.
By the end of all the compliments, she even felt a bit embarrassed.
Looking at herself in the mirror, she suddenly felt a hint of unfamiliarity. Today's outfit might have been a bit too fancy, and she even wondered if it might be stealing the spotlight.
"Jack, maybe I should go for a simpler look. I'm afraid this might be a bit too extravagant," Martina suggested.
She didn't express her thoughts too explicitly. For example, today wasn't her birthday, and even though she was attending a party, she didn't think she should dress up so extravagantly. It might give others the wrong impression, making them think she was trying to show off intentionally.
While Martina didn't care much about what others thought of her, she preferred to avoid unnecessary trouble if possible.
After all, there were many people coming today, and if word got out, it wouldn't just reflect poorly on her but also have implications for Jack and Benjamin. She simply didn't want to cause any trouble for those two, and that was her primary concern.
However, as soon as she mentioned this, Jack immediately responded, "Don't overthink it, kid. Dress up nicely. Today is my birthday, and I think you should look good too."
Martina was speechless. At this point, with everything that had been said, it seemed she would have to endure and let go of any other thoughts she might have had.
Meanwhile, it seemed that Elizabeth was drawn out by all the commotion. Initially, she had intentionally forced herself to stay indoors, but who knew that when she ventured outside, she would see Jack and Martina both meticulously dressed up. The key point was that those stylists had several sets of expensive and exquisite dresses for Martina to choose from.
Given that no one paid any attention to Elizabeth, and no one inquired about her, she naturally felt quite irritated. She did well not to lose her temper right then and there. Besides envy, she didn't seem to have any other feelings towards Martina at this point.
When Jack noticed Elizabeth's presence, his face didn't show much emotion. Instead, the stylists and assistants turned their attention in her direction, albeit out of professional courtesy. They didn't actively inquire about her identity, at most, just stealing a few glances.
It was Elizabeth who took the initiative to greet Jack, saying, "Why did you specifically bring stylists here? How long will Martina be busy for?"
Although she didn't explicitly state her intentions, Jack almost instantly figured it out. Was she planning to get herself dressed up nicely as well?"
