Chapter 180: Another Man Came
Under Adam's arrangement, those bodyguards instantly surrounded Martina and Elena.
Strangely, Martina still didn't make a move, as if she had already anticipated it.
Adam couldn't help but wonder, what was going on? What kind of means did Martina have to be so confident?
Just as the bodyguards were about to take action, Elena shouted, "Leslie, now!"
In the next second, Leslie appeared. He walked out of the nearby men's restroom and casually wiped some water droplets off his hand. Surprisingly, he looked rather handsome this way. While he might not match up to the exceptional charm of Benjamin, he possessed a rare and distinct appeal.
Leslie unbuttoned his collar, perhaps feeling restricted, and rolled up his sleeves. Despite the numerous figures before him, he showed no signs of fear. The only noticeable thing was the blood marks on his neck, which immediately caught Elena's attention.
Elena recalled that night and how unruly she had been. She even left such marks on Leslie—it was truly quite embarrassing! Fortunately, Leslie hadn't brought up that incident on his own. It was as if he had forgotten, otherwise Elena would have had a hard time talking to him.
In that instant of seeing Leslie, Adam finally understood the current situation.
"Why was Martina so audacious? So, this is the reason," he let out a derisive laugh. "Leslie? You must be one of Mr. Walker's people, right? The capable bodyguard?"
Leslie didn't refute, "Yeah, you could say that. So, can Mr. Paloma start the fight?"
Adam became quiet, lost in contemplation. It was the first time he had heard someone be so brazen and arrogant.
Didn't he bring quite a few people himself? At least there were about ten of them! The key was that these people were all skilled fighters, and even Adam would end up beaten if he engaged.
However, why was Leslie so fearless? Even with his fighting skills, taking on such a multitude of opponents seemed like an impossible feat.
The more Adam thought about it, the angrier he became. He felt like Leslie was deliberately showing off his strength.
To quickly rescue his sister, Adam couldn't afford to worry about much else now.
"Get in there and take them down! Now!" With Adam's command, those bodyguards started to take real action, and naturally, their target was Leslie.
Watching Leslie move among so many people, Elena's heart couldn't help but tighten.
She asked from the Martina's side, "Martina, can Leslie really handle this? While Leslie is skilled in combat, there are just too many of them. If he loses focus for a moment, it might be --"
How could Martina not understand? But she had an ace up her sleeve!
She opened her own bag and took out various odds and ends. One of them was pepper spray!
She knew that conventional methods wouldn't work. She couldn't win a fight, only get beaten. But if she used a different approach, the situation might change, right?
Elena's eyes lit up, and she took another bottle of pepper spray.
While those people were busy dealing with Leslie, the two of them also maneuvered into the crowd, using the pepper spray with precision.
Soon, several people were hit, clutching their eyes and left vulnerable to attack.
Although Leslie wanted to intervene, the current situation didn't allow for idle talk. It was better to take down everyone first. So, he didn't have time for anything else, remembering that he still had a trick up his sleeve.
Taking a deep breath, Leslie reminded, "Miss Martinez, Miss Rodríguez, be careful! If things get tough, don't worry about me, just look out for yourselves!"
Getting beaten wasn't a big deal, after all, it wouldn't kill anyone.
Leslie knew that as long as he handled today's situation well, a raise and other benefits were well within his grasp. Even if he ended up getting beaten, it would be worth it! The main thing was the raise, which was what Leslie wanted most!
Adam was watching anxiously, continuously berating from the side, "Idiots! They are just two bitches! You still want to continue working?!"
The bodyguards dared not speak up in anger, making it seem as if they were willing participants. But who was responsible for their current predicament? Was it something they wanted?
Getting hit with that pepper spray in the eyes was genuinely uncomfortable. Did they really think about that? Was it something they could handle?
Amy remained alone in the restroom, hearing the commotion outside and couldn't help but burst into tears again.
"Crazy person! Martina is just crazy!" Amy cried.
If Martina weren't crazy, how could she dare to do this? Would she not care about the consequences if news of this reached the Paloma family?
But even though Martina knew the outcome wouldn't be good, she was determined to proceed. She intended to break down Amy mentally. And judging by the current situation, her methods were working effectively; Amy was genuinely frightened.
Amy was even thinking, deep down, if a situation like before were to arise again, would she dare to confront Martina? Ultimately, the answer was a resounding no. The main reason was that Martina had become incredibly unpredictable and audacious.
One shouldn't fear a powerful opponent, but rather an opponent who didn't value their own life. Facing off against someone like this was simply inviting disaster.
Witnessing Leslie's struggle against the overwhelming number of opponents, Martina suddenly caught the faint but distinct sound of footsteps approaching from the end of the corridor.
"Tap... tap... tap..."
Each sound struck Martina's heart, and even Elena couldn't help but stand frozen in place.
Muttering under her breath, Elena said, "Who... who's coming?"
According to their initial expectations, the people from the private rooms shouldn't have come out so quickly.
Moreover, the calm and steady footsteps didn't match those who should be emerging from the private rooms. None of them seemed to fit the profile.
So, who was this approaching person?
Just as Elena's mind was filled with turmoil, she finally spotted the approaching figure getting closer from a distance.
Another figure followed closely behind, walking one after the other, an undeniable presence.
Elena stared for a while with her narrowed eyes and finally recognized the person's appearance, then leaped up in excitement.
"Hey, look! Isn't that Benjamin!?" Elena shouted out with excitement.
Yes, it wasn't just anyone; it was Benjamin himself.
Benjamin had already obtained concrete evidence that could prove Amy's crime. To be honest, he didn't actually want to take severe action against Amy. After all, she was the most cherished girl of the Paloma family. However, Amy shouldn't have consistently caused problems for Martina.
Considering these circumstances, it seemed quite evident how Benjamin would make his choice.
