A Desperate Search
Victoria Sebastian, the wife of rich man Louis Sebastian, had been shot in her own home. The story spread quickly, with headlines everywhere saying: "Tragic Shooting in the Sebastian Family: Victoria Fights for Her Life."
Paparazzi crowded the hospital entrance, taking pictures as reporters pushed to get past security to learn more about the Sebastian family drama. People shouted questions-"Who shot her? What's the family saying? Will she survive?"-but there were no answers, just guesses.
Inside the hospital, the air was tense. Louis sat in a private waiting room, looking worn out as he scrolled through news articles on his phone. His life was already a mess, and now with Victoria fighting for her life and Daniella missing, everything felt even worse.
He looked up as he heard footsteps and saw Claire, his assistant, rushing toward him. She looked serious, holding a tablet tightly.
"Louis, it's all over the news," Claire said, out of breath. "The press is going wild. Everyone wants to know what happened."
"I know," Louis said, rubbing his tired eyes. "I've seen the headlines. It's a disaster."
"It's worse than that," Claire said quietly. "Some articles are saying it wasn't an accident, that it was... planned."
Louis's stomach dropped as he realized she was right. He knew the media would never let this go. They loved scandals, and with the Sebastian family's troubled past, they would keep digging for a story.
But right now, Louis only cared about finding Daniella and making sure she faced the consequences for what she did to Victoria.
"Daniella," Louis said quietly, his jaw tightening. "Have we found out where she is?"
Claire shook her head, looking worried. "Not yet. We've had people searching all night, but she's vanished. No one has seen or heard from her since the shooting."
Louis cursed softly, feeling frustrated. How could his sister have sunk so low as to shoot Victoria?
"We need to find her, Claire," Louis said urgently. "I don't care how. She's dangerous, and we need to stop her before she does something worse."
"I've contacted private investigators," Claire replied, typing on her tablet. "They're working with the police, but it won't be easy.
Daniella knows how to hide. If she doesn't want to be found, she won't be."
Louis stopped pacing and thought hard about where Daniella might be. "She can't be too far. She wouldn't leave the city yet. She'll want to know what's happening with Victoria."
"You think she's keeping track of the news?" Claire asked.
Louis nodded. "I know my sister. She likes to control what people say about her. She'll be watching Victoria's condition closely."
Claire bit her lip, looking at her tablet. "If that's true, we can track her online. I'll get our tech team to see if she's using her devices to check the news."
"Do it," Louis said firmly. "I want her found, no matter the cost."
Later that day, the media chaos outside the hospital grew. News vans lined the streets, and reporters gave updates on Victoria's condition and the family's troubles. Many speculated that the shooting was due to a feud between Daniella and Victoria.
Louis, however, stayed in the hospital, refusing to leave Victoria's side. He spent every moment he could with her, watching as she lay in a coma. The doctors said her condition hadn't changed, and each hour without improvement felt like another blow to his heart.
But he couldn't fall apart yet. He had to find Daniella.
Louis stood by the window of Victoria's room, watching the chaos outside. He knew the press would start digging deeper for answers he and his family weren't ready to give. And once they found out Daniella shot Victoria, things would get worse.
"Sir," Claire said quietly, appearing in the doorway. "We have a lead."
Louis turned quickly, his heart racing. "What is it?"
"One of our tech people found unusual activity on one of Daniella's old accounts," Claire explained, stepping in. "It looks like she's been using a secure device to check the internet-probably to watch the news. It's not much, but we think we've narrowed her location down. She's still in the city."
Louis felt a spark of hope. "Where?"
Claire showed him a map on her tablet. "She's been seen near the financial district. We think she's hiding in a nice hotel downtown, but we don't have a room number yet."
Louis looked at the map, determined. "That's good enough. Send our people there, and tell them to work with the police. I want her found before she disappears."
Claire nodded, already typing instructions. "I'll take care of it. But Louis, be ready for what might happen when we find her.
Daniella is unpredictable. If she feels trapped, she might do anything."
Louis's heart sank at the thought. He didn't want to believe his sister could get worse, but after what she did to Victoria, he wasn't sure he knew her anymore.
"I'll be ready," Louis said quietly, filled with determination. "Just find her."
As night fell, the search grew more intense. Private investigators and police searched the financial district for any sign of Daniella.
The digital clues were faint, but they were hopeful they were getting closer.
Back at the hospital, Louis sat in the waiting room, gripping his phone. Every time it buzzed, his heart raced, hoping for news about Daniella.
But every time, the message was the same: No sign of her yet.
The weight of everything-the media pressure, Victoria's critical state, Daniella on the run-felt heavy on him. But Louis refused to break. Not yet. Not while Victoria's life was at stake and Daniella was still hiding.
As he waited for news about Daniella, Louis thought about the moment he saw her with the gun in Victoria's apartment. The look in her eyes-full of anger and desperation-haunted him. How had his sister changed so much? How had his family's world turned so dark?
And could it ever be fixed?
The night went on, but Louis stayed where he was, waiting for the call that would change everything.
