Hate Still Lingers
The atmosphere in the Sebastian mansion was tense from recent fights and unhealed wounds. Even after a narrow win against Victor Kane, there was still conflict, especially between Daniella and Victoria. Daniella was frustrated and her dislike for Victoria was growing. She had hoped that confronting Kane would end Victoria's control over the family, but instead, it only made Victoria stronger, which Daniella could not accept.
Daniella sat in her room, feeling trapped. Every reminder of Victoria's win felt painful. She had tried to bring Victoria down, but each effort failed, making her feel more alone and helpless.
'I can't keep doing this," Daniella said to herself, filled with bitterness. 'She's not going to win. Not this time."
Her mind raced as she thought about her options. She needed help from someone who understood the company and wanted to see Victoria fail. Suddenly, she remembered a name—someone who had been wronged by Sebastian Industries and had a reason to be angry.
A quick search on her phone confirmed her thoughts. Michael Foster, a former employee who had been fired after a dispute with Malcolm. He had been ambitious in the legal department but was let go for crossing the line. Daniella knew he still held a grudge and might want to help her.
Daniella called the number she found online, her heart pounding as she waited for an answer. She didn't know if Michael would even talk to her, but she was desperate.
'Hello?" a rough voice answered.
'Michael Foster?" Daniella asked cautiously.
'Who's asking?" Michael replied, sounding suspicious.
'It's Daniella Sebastian," she said, waiting to see how he would react. 'I think we might have some common goals."
There was a pause, and then Michael's tone changed to curious amusement. 'Well, this is unexpected. I never thought I'd hear from a Sebastian again, especially after your father fired me."
Daniella bit her tongue, trying to ignore her irritation. 'I'm not calling about the past. I have a deal for you—one that could benefit us both."
Michael laughed darkly. 'I'm listening."
Daniella took a breath. 'I want to take down Victoria. She's been a problem for too long, and I need someone who knows the legal side and can help me show her true colors."
Michael was quiet for a moment, thinking. 'Victoria Sebastian," he said. 'She's been getting a lot of praise lately, hasn't she? But we both know nobody is perfect."
'Exactly," Daniella said, determined. 'Victoria has weaknesses, and I'm sure you can help me find them. I want to show everyone who she really is."
Michael's voice changed, showing interest. 'What's in it for me, Daniella? Why should I help you?"
Daniella leaned in, gripping the phone tightly. 'Because you want revenge. I can help you clear your name and regain your power.
Help me take down Victoria, and you'll get what you deserve."
Michael thought it over and finally agreed. 'All right, Daniella. I'll help, but I'm not doing this just for you. I want to see Victoria's smug face wiped off the map too."
'Let's get started," Daniella said, feeling stronger. 'We need to find her weaknesses and make sure everyone knows she's not the great lawyer everyone thinks she is."
Michael chuckled darkly. 'Don't worry. I have some ideas. Victoria won't know what hit her."
They spent the next hour planning how to discredit Victoria. Michael had contacts in the legal field who could help spread doubt about her credibility. He would look into her past cases for mistakes and could even create false evidence if necessary.
Daniella listened eagerly, excited at the thought of bringing down Victoria, who had overshadowed her for too long. She felt like she was finally in control.
After they finished their plan, Daniella hung up, feeling triumphant. She knew she was taking a risk by teaming up with someone as ruthless as Michael, but she was ready to do whatever it took to win.
Their first step was to quietly raise doubts about Victoria's integrity among influential people in the legal community. Even the smallest hint of wrongdoing could have huge consequences in that world.
As Daniella hung up, she felt a thrill she hadn't felt in months. She was no longer just reacting to Victoria; she was taking charge.
But as she walked down the hallway, a small voice in her head warned her that she was on dangerous ground. Working with Michael could backfire and hurt the entire Sebastian family.
Daniella pushed that thought away, determined to win. She was ready to make her choices.
As she entered the living room, she saw Louis and Victoria talking by the fireplace. They looked up at her, and Victoria smiled.
'Hey, Daniella," Victoria said, her tone friendly despite the tension. 'We were just going over details for the next board meeting.
Want to join us?"
Daniella forced a smile. 'Thanks, but I have things to take care of. Maybe later."
Victoria nodded, her smile fading as Daniella walked away. Louis frowned, concerned. 'She's still upset. I don't know how to help her."
Victoria sighed, watching Daniella leave. 'She'll come around," she said, though she wasn't sure. 'We just need to be patient."
But as Daniella walked away, plotting her next move, it was clear that patience was not on her mind. With Michael's help, she was ready for her biggest attack yet.
The game had changed, and Daniella was determined to win.
