Vengeance in Motion
Daniella stood at the edge of the Sebastian estate, her hands clenched into fists as she stared at the sprawling mansion that once represented her birthright. Her blood boiled as the memory of the estate battle replayed itself in her mind, with the smug faces, the sharp words, and the decision that left her humiliated and powerless. Her estate, her wealth, and her family's legacy were torn from her grasp by the very woman she despised most in the world.
It had been a complete betrayal: Louis, her brother, aligning with Victoria, leaving Daniella on the outside, literally watching as everything she worked, everything that was supposed to be hers was taken from her. Anger that had always smoldered beneath the surface finally reached a breaking point, and she knew there was no going back.
She just wasn't going to sit back and let Victoria claim victory. Nope, this was far from over.
A rustling from the back broke her out of her trance, and she turned to see her new ally-Martin Lockhart stepping out of the shadows. Martin had once been a senior executive at Sebastian Industries before a falling out with Louis cost him his job. Disgraced and embittered, he had become the perfect partner in Daniella's plot. Together, they shared one mutual intent to bring Victoria down, along with the Sebastian empire, to its knees.
"It's time," Daniella told Martin, her voice cold, razor-sharp. "Victoria needs to pay for everything she has taken from me."
Martin's lips arced into a vicious smile as he nodded. "I've been waiting for this. Already, I have begun instituting the necessary motions. The smear campaign is ready to roll, and we have sufficient fabricated evidence to bring down Victoria's career.
Daniella's eyes shone with pleasure. It wasn't enough to drain Victoria of her power; Daniella was going to destroy her utterly- to destroy her good name, her career, and her place in the Sebastian family. She wanted Victoria to know just how it was to lose everything, as she had.
"I want her reputation in ruins," Daniella hissed, pacing up and down and sending her brain racing with the details of their plot. "I want the world to see her for what she is: a fraud, a manipulator-we'll make sure she never has a place in the legal world again."
Martin nodded, his face contorting into a scowl. "We'll start with the press. I have people on tap who are ready to leak a story connecting her to a financial scandal at Sebastian Industries. We'll make it appear as if she's been embezzling money, using her position to gain from the company.
Daniella smirked darkly, the anger sparking a fire inside of her. "That will hit Louis, too. He'll be forced to choose between defending her or salvaging what's left of the family name."
Martin's grin spread. "Exactly. The furor out on the street will be deafening, and the board will have no choice but to oust her. When her career is in shreds, we'll attack her private life. If she thinks the press is bad now, wait until they get wind of this."
The thought of watching Victoria squirm, seeing her so carefully constructed life fall to pieces, made Daniella's heart beat with a dark sense of satisfaction. This was not about taking what she perceived to be hers; this was about breaking Victoria down piece by piece until there was nothing left.
"And Louis?" Daniella asked, her voice dripping with venom. "What happens when he finds out?"
Martin's smile faltered a little as he sounded more serious. "He'll be caught in the middle. He's already struggling with the press after the story of his daughter broke. This will be the final nail in the coffin for him. If he tries to protect Victoria, he'll go down with her."
Daniella stopped, weighing her next words carefully. She knew Louis still had feelings for Victoria, no matter what had gone down.
It was a pang to her to think of her brother as part of the fallout, but she couldn't afford to show any more weakness. Louis had betrayed her, and with that, he chose his destiny.
"If he stands with her, then he's no better than she is," Daniella said coldly. "He'll deserve whatever comes his way."
Martin nodded, a gleam of malice in his eyes. "The first wave will hit in the morning. By the time we're done, Victoria will have no allies left."
Daniella felt a deep shiver at the completeness of her plan now that it settled upon her like an enveloping dark cloak; she had waited long for just the right moment to strike-and here it was. Things were falling into place, and soon Victoria would be fully aware of the depth of her wrath.
"I want to watch it happen," Daniella said, her voice low and menacing. "I want to see her face when she realizes it's all over."
Martin's grin returned. "You'll get your wish. By the end of this, Victoria won't even recognize her own life."
As they finalized the last details of their plan, a mixture of anger and satisfaction whirled in Daniella's mind. This was what she had been waiting for a moment of revenge, the time to take back what rightfully belonged to her. Victoria had taken everything from her; now, Daniella would make her pay for it.
The clock was ticking, and Daniella could already imagine the headlines:
"Victoria Sebastian Exposed in Financial Scandal!"
"The Fall of a Rising Star!"
The thought sent a shiver of satisfaction down her spine. This was only the beginning, and Daniella wasn't going to stop until Victoria was completely and utterly destroyed.
