Harry Part 6
Sean Pov
I don't understand at all what happened. What happened a few hours ago made me unable to forget it. In the middle of my deep sleep, I was awakened by a noise from beside me. I was shocked when Leslie's bed was not where it should be. The bed had moved. To my surprise, Leslie's figure was nowhere to be seen on the bed. My eyes widened when I finally found Leslie's figure. I thought I was dreaming. I saw Leslie floating in the air. My heart felt like jumping when I saw her body sliding down. My body spontaneously ran towards her, hoping to catch her so she wouldn't hit the floor.
Luckily, my body was still on my side, making it to the floor before Leslie's. Leslie's body fell on me, causing us to fall uncontrollably. I felt my whole body ache from being hit by Leslie's body. I ignored the pain and panicked when I saw Leslie lose consciousness. I immediately thought about calling a doctor or nurse, but my body was so numb I couldn't move.
Once again, I felt that luck was indeed on my side because, amid my panic and confusion, I saw the figure of Leo enter the room. He looked shocked to see our condition, and I thanked him because he rushed to get the doctor and nurse. Leslie and I immediately got treatment.
Strange things happened after that. After the doctor examined Leslie's condition, the doctor declared Leslie in a coma. Yes, doctors have used various methods to make Leslie wake up, but all ended in vain. Leslie's body didn't respond at all. She lay stiff, but what made me feel a little relieved was that her heart was still beating.
An hour ago, Leslie was moved to the ICU with an oxygen tube attached to her nose and a heart detector attached to her body, showing her heart rate data on a monitor. All these events made me not understand. I'm sure I caught Leslie when she fell, or could I be wrong? Could it be that I missed Leslie, and her body hit the floor, making it like this?
I can't think anymore. I can only stare at Leslie's helpless body. I held her wrist with the IV tube attached. I kissed the back of her hand gently. I hope she can open her eyes soon.
"Leslie, wake up. Your joke is not funny at all. Are you punishing me because I forbade you from involving yourself with ghosts again? You're mad at me. Forgive me. I promise I won't stop you anymore, but please open your eyes." Silence, no response from Leslie. Her eyes were still closed. Even the hand I was holding showed no signs of movement at all.
"What should I tell your parents if you are like this? They entrusted you to me, but I failed to protect you. They must be mad at me, right? Can you bear to see me being scolded by your parents? Hey, answer Leslie!" I felt something cold slide from my eyes. These tears came out by themselves. Just yesterday, I breathed a sigh of relief when Leslie escaped from the ghost that possessed her. I feel the same fear again as when Leslie was kept at the inn. Why do we have to face this terrible event over and over again? I admit this time, I felt more scared than when I was at the inn.
There was the sound of a door opening. I quickly wiped away the tears and gently placed Leslie's hand that I had been holding. Something warm I felt was on my shoulder. Leo lightly touched my shoulder, and I saw Angie standing beside him when I looked at him.
"What happened to Leslie, Sean?" asked Angie, to which I responded with a shake of my head. I don't know what to answer because I don't understand what happened.
"It's a ghost again, right?" she asked again, to which I responded with a nod. My gaze returned to Leslie.
"Sean, I know you're sad but you listen to what Angie has to tell you. She has something important to tell you."
"Just say it," I answered briefly without looking at Leo and Angie.
"I met Leslie in my dream." My eyes widened at Angie's words. I immediately turned to stare at her. Angie, with a severe expression, glared at me.
"She said someone named Harry locked her up. She asked me to look for her immediately."
"Keep her locked up?" I asked, surprised. I did not understand the meaning of her words. I cringed when I finally realized something.
"You mean her imprisoned soul?" Angie nodded her head, indicating my point was correct.
"What else did she say?"
"There isn't any. She just said that. Her figure was vague and not visible. Looks like she's trying hard to get the message across to me. She did the same thing Sylvia did back then to contact me." I was stunned, trying to digest all of Angie's words.
"Harry must be the ghost that has attacked her in our treatment room."
"Yes, I thought so too. We have to hurry Sean. We have to find out the ghost's identity."
"But we don't have any leads, we only know the name. How can we find out about it." I agree with Leo's thinking. We don't have any clue about the ghost other than the name.
"Ghosts will haunt only places associated with him, he haunts this hospital. That means this hospital is related to him. You guys ask about it the people in this hospital. I'll wait for Leslie here." Wasting no time, Leo and I rushed out of the room.
By scattering me and Leo around the hospital, I was asking anything about someone named Harry. I got a hint when I asked one of the nurses. Based on the nurse's story, there was a doctor named Harry in this hospital, but he suddenly disappeared without a word. For over one month, he never showed himself again in this hospital. I also asked for the doctor's address; luckily, the nurse was kind enough to give it to me.
I contacted Leo and asked him to gather in the ICU room where Leslie was treated. I told the clues I found to Leo and Angie. They both looked relieved to hear this news, not much different from what I felt.
"We must immediately go to the address," said Angie excitedly and got up from the chair she had been sitting on. However, Leo quickly stopped her.
"No. You can't come. You wait here, accompany Leslie. Let me and Sean go there."
"But I can't just wait here doing nothing. After all, you guys will be in contact with ghosts. You don't understand anything about them. Only I who am used to dealing with them can overcome this problem." Angie insisted on refusing her husband's request. But it's not Leo if he can't make his wife give in. Yes, I know Leo's personality well enough that he won't give up easily when it comes to the safety of his loved ones.
"You are pregnant. I don't want you and our baby to be in any more danger. So, take my word for it and wait here. Besides, there's no way we're leaving Leslie here alone. What if something happened to her?"
"It's true what Mr. Leo said. I entrusted Leslie to you." After hearing what I said, she finally nodded her head after she exhaled lazily.
"Promise me you'll keep me posted no matter how small a lead you get." Leo and I nodded at the same time. We were then rushed out of the room.
On our way to the doctor's address, I never stopped adventuring in my thoughts. I hope we can get some enlightenment at the doctor's house later. Of course, I never stop praying that this problem can end soon.
