Lucas Part 16
Amid my sadness and disappointment, a light suddenly appeared from my right. I focused my eyes on the morning, and my eyes widened when I saw the figure of a woman in the light. If I see that woman's appearance, I know she is one of the ghosts in this Mansion. But there is one thing that is different about that ghost: her face is not terrible, very different from the spirits that chased me earlier. I'm relieved now that the ghosts have stopped chasing me.
Returning to the female ghost in the light, her face was exquisite. I'm sure she's the same age as my mother, judging by the slight frown on her pretty face. Could it be that the ghost will try to stop me like the ghosts before?
My thinking seems wrong when I see no movement from the ghost trying to hurt me. The spirit was pointing somewhere at the moment. I glanced at the place where the ghost was telling. That direction, isn't that the direction to my room?
My room, that place, makes me remember something. How could I forget it? The window in my room, I believe I saw, was open the last time I entered my room. I was surprised when I saw the window open and thought, who opened it because it was not me. But now I think the ghost of a woman may have opened it. But with what purpose did she open it? Can I escape from this Mansion?
I shook off those questions and walked back to my room.
"Thank you," I said as I passed the female ghost. She nodded with a smile, after which she was instantly gone. I don't have time to think about where the spirit went. One thing that fills my mind now is how to get to my room as soon as possible. This state of my body made me unable to run. Even walking was very difficult. Pain and pain I feel in every inch of my body. I was utterly battered right now. Perhaps others would think, how could I still be able to move in my current state? An average human should have died or at least killed after experiencing this torture barrage. But once again, I say that a determination based on struggle and hard work will not give false hope and will not produce anything disappointing. I believed in that, and finally, I could prove with my condition that I could still walk even though my body was battered like this.
Step by step, I went through to lead me to my room. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw my bedroom window was still open. I drew closer to the window and prepared to leave when I suddenly felt a pain in my head.
I looked around my room and was surprised when I saw a bunch of black smoke entering the room. The black smoke gathered and formed a human body. The evil ghost was standing in front of me now.
"You want to stop me again?" I asked the ghost.
"Hahaha ... it's useless for you to run, you still won't be safe," he said in his hoarse voice that blared in the room.
"I will prove to you, humans are stronger than spirits like you. You are dead while I am still alive."
Then I put my head out of the window. It was still raining heavily, accompanied by thunder and lightning. I shifted my gaze downwards. My room is on the 2nd floor, and the ground is quite far. If I jump, I don't think I can survive, or I believe I won't be able to walk again, even stand once.
However, it seems that God is still merciful to me. From the side of the window, I saw a reasonably large water pipe attached to the wall, and I decided to go out the window using that pipe.
Before crawling out of the window, I again looked at the evil ghost. He was still floating there, but I was pretty surprised because he didn't do anything. He was not trying to stop me like before. Could he give up and let me leave this Mansion now? Whatever the reason for the haunted residence, I didn't care anymore. All I could think about was getting out of this Mansion as quickly as possible.
I slowly descended, holding this water pipe. This pipe feels slippery, mainly because it's wet with rainwater. But I tighten my grip, and occasionally, I hold on to the wall to hold my body so it doesn't slip.
Slowly but surely, I finally made it down safely. My feet are on the ground now. I raised my head, looking out my bedroom window. I was shocked when I saw that an evil ghost figure was there. I couldn't see his face, but I was sure he was staring at me. Why did he let me escape? Didn't he say he wouldn't let me out of the Mansion? But he let me get out just now, even though he could quickly kill me. What is the ghost's true purpose? I shook my head, trying to ignore all the questions raging inside me.
Again, I felt pain all over my body when this rainwater hit the wounds on my body. Still, slowly, I continued to walk my feet, which increasingly felt heavy. My vision was even getting blurry. All my damage feels throbbing.
"Aaah!"
I screamed when I heard the sound of thunder that was so close. Even the flash made me able to see around this place, which was actually pitch black. The lightning flash accidentally made me glimpse a figure standing from behind a tree. Is that human? Or ghost? It seemed he was staring in the direction of this Mansion.
I realized that someone was about to leave when he saw me approaching him.
"Wait, please wait," I said quietly. I barely had the strength left. Someone stopped his movement, but I don't know what happened afterward. I remember feeling weak, and I could no longer control it. I can still feel it when my body hits the ground. My blurry eyes caught someone walking towards me. Yes, he's walking, not floating, meaning he's human.
Amid my fading consciousness, I saw that person crouched beside me. I don't know what will he do to me.
