Sean And Leslie Part 5
Leslie Pov
Sean and I have gone through our studies smoothly for the past three years without any problems endangering our lives again. There are still some ghosts hanging around asking me for help. I'm not surprised by it because it will always happen to me throughout my life. I have accepted this ability and will make the most of it. I'm also very relieved that Sean never takes issue or complains whenever I get involved with the ghosts. Instead, he was always ready to help me deal with the spirits.
My relationship with Sean was going well. We created many new memories to replace those lost from Sean's memory due to the influence of witchcraft. At first, Sean always felt guilty about it, but now he can let it go.
My relationship with Leyna has improved. We can't be close friends, but at least we can still be friends. Since entering the second year of teaching at the University, we no longer live in the dormitory. Indeed, the regulations on campus only required us to live in the dorms for one year. Every day, I went to and from college with Sean. Even when we were on vacation, we still spent time together. The togetherness we passed made the feeling of love in our hearts even more significant.
Other good news: Leyna and Carl finally decided to date. Leyna finally gave up Sean for me, while Carl buried deeply the feelings of love that had ever grown in his heart for me. He revived his feelings of love for Leyna, which had faded. Of course, I am pleased to hear they are finally together. Sean also told me that his relationship with Carl had improved, although he wasn't as close as he used to be.
As for Muggie, ever since that incident, she's already regretted it and apologized to us. Of course, Sean and I have forgiven her. She decided to move in with her parents. Since then, I never seen her again.
One month ago, we just attended our graduation ceremony. Now we have passed. I have a degree in economics, and Sean has a law degree. After this, we may start working according to the major we took. Aunt Silva had asked me to help her run her business. However, before that, we must do other essential things first.
Three years ago, up on the hill, Sean proposed to me as we were about to watch the meteor shower. I accepted his proposal without hesitation because marrying Sean was my biggest dream. After graduating from college, we finally decided to get married.
During this month, my parents and I were busy preparing for the wedding. If other couples are engaged in renting a wedding hall, not so with us. We took the Garden Party theme and chose a flower garden as our wedding venue.
During this one month, I never met Sean. My mother says there is a myth that forbids lovers to meet just before the wedding is held. My last meeting with Sean was at the graduation ceremony. Even though we don't see each other, we keep in touch daily by phone. Of course, we won't be able to if we don't communicate. For one month, we have not seen each other. It feels like it has tortured us a lot.
I didn't feel bothered in preparing for this wedding, apart from my parents, who always helped me. Angie and Mr. Leo were enthusiastic about helping me. I have yet to tell you about Angie and Mr. Leo. Now, they are not alone anymore. There is already a handsome toddler figure in their midst. Yes, Angie gave birth to a very handsome baby boy like Mr. Leo. Angelo, that name they gave him. A mix of Angie and Leo. Unique name, right?
Today, finally, the long-awaited day has come. I was waiting nervously in a room. My parents are accompanying me here.
"Leslie, calm down," my mother said, realizing my anxiety.
"I'm so nervous, Mom," I answered honestly.
"It's natural, all couples will also be nervous on their wedding day. But rest assured everything will go smoothly." Mother tried to calm me down.
"Have you seen your stunning appearance in the mirror, Leslie?" This time, it was my father who spoke. Hearing it made me step closer to a large mirror in this room. A mirror that shows me ultimately.
I looked at my reflection in the mirror. A beautiful white wedding dress wrapped my slender body. There is little decoration on this dress because I prefer a simple dress. My long hair is in a neat bun, and a crown with many jewels sits beautifully on my head. I usually never wear any make-up, but now my bare face is filled with light make-up that makes me look like someone else. Seeing my reflection in the mirror, I felt like I didn't see myself.
"Is Sean going to like this?" I asked my parents' opinion.
"Of course, he's blind if he doesn't like you who are so beautiful." My father answered, while my mother just smiled in response.
My gaze shifted to the high-heeled shoes the same color as my wedding dress. Of all my looks, it's my shoes that make me uncomfortable. The heels are too high. I estimate the height to be around 12 cm.
"These shoes are too high. Can't I wear sneakers?" That is a ridiculous question. But I would be more comfortable in the sneakers I usually wear. My parents burst out laughing at my stupid question.
"Leslie, Leslie, you're still an innocent girl daddy, what kind of party do you think this is? It's your wedding party, your appearance must be extraordinary. Time to wear sneakers?" Said my father after managing to stop his laughter.
"But what if I fall? That must be so embarrassing." Finally, I voiced the worries that filled my head.
"There is Daddy beside you, daddy won't let you fall. Don't worry, Leslie." I nodded my head in response.
A knock on the door made my heart beat fast again. Mother opened the door, and a man who was a member of the wedding organizer we hired came into the room.
"It's time to go to the venue. Get ready," he said kindly.
"Let's go, Leslie!!" asked my father while wrapping his arms, giving me a signal so I could hold him. I took a deep breath and exhaled slowly before holding my father's hand. We walked to the venue.
Along the way, I realized all pairs of eyes were staring at me. I could hear them whispering to each other and smiling at me. Suddenly, it made me so embarrassed that I chose to look down. Staring downwards, making sure I wouldn't fall over from stepping on something.
"Don't look down, raise your head. Look, your future husband is waiting for you." Hearing my father's whisper, I suddenly lifted my head and stared ahead.
Right in front of me, at a reasonably close distance, I saw Sean standing and looking at me. He smiled gently at me. I'm sure my face is blushing right now. Sean looks incredibly handsome. He is more handsome than I usually see. He wore a white tuxedo that matched my wedding dress. He looks dashing wearing it. In addition, he cut his hair short so that it makes him look even more charming.
He held out his hand as soon as we got near him. Father held out my hand to him.
"Uncle, leave the most valuable treasure that Uncle has to you, Sean, take care of her and make her happy," said my father.
"Of course, I will always look after and make her happy. Thank you," Sean replied kindly, holding my hand tightly.
The wedding ceremony took place solemnly and smoothly. All the processions went perfectly. At its peak, I heard a roar of applause from everyone in this place when I saw Sean and me kissing.
