Lucas Part 6
After yesterday's incident in Sean's room, he never greeted me once. He always spends his days with Leyna, making me feel sick of being in this Mansion any longer. But, whatever power, I have to accept the fact to be in this Mansion even longer because there's no way I can go home alone. Maybe if there were taxis or other public transportation in this area, I would have done something crazy by leaving this Mansion even if I was alone. However, after walking around the Mansion area, I realized that this area is quite remote. Even though there are several houses in the vicinity of this Mansion, this indicates that at least it is not only this Mansion that is standing firm in this area. This relieved me because we were not in the middle of nowhere. There are still quite a lot of people inhabiting this area.
"Hahaha... Sean, be careful... I almost fell. What if I drown?"
"Impossible. I won't let you drown."
The conversation between Sean and Leyna caught my attention. Currently, we are indeed swimming in the pool, which is right behind the Mansion. Only Sean and Leyna were busy swimming. While I just sat quietly by the pool alone. Other people might think how stupid I am to linger here watching my boyfriend teach other women to swim. Whether this is true or just an excuse, Leyna forces Sean to teach her how to swim. But seeing the sexy bikini she wore, I doubted that she couldn't swim. More precisely, she seemed to plan this deliberately. The proof is that she gradually brought that super sexy bikini.
Their non-stop laughing makes me want to sink them both into the water. There is only one reason that keeps me still in this place: Carl forces me to go swimming even though I'd rather spend my time sleeping in my room than watching Sean and Leyna's intimacy.
"How long will you stay there? You don't want to get in the water?" Asked Carl, who had just emerged from the water. Ooh, I was wrong earlier. Not only Sean and Leyna are busy swimming, but Carl is also enjoying his swimming activities.
"No. I'm just here." I'm too lazy to swim when I don't bring any swimwear. I'm only wearing a T-shirt and shorts at the moment. Carl came out of the water and sat beside me.
"Aren't you jealous of them?" Of course, I understand what Carl's question means, but I don't want to talk about it.
"Carl, did you go to the same school as them in junior high school?" I tried to divert our conversation. I also asked about something that had been bothering my mind since yesterday.
"That's how it is. I used to be quite close to them," replied Carl, which made me not be surprised anymore if I saw them very close.
"Leslie, I wonder why you are still dating Sean? Even though you saw for yourself, he is a bastard?" Carl's gaze fixed on Sean and Leyna, who were still struggling with their swimming activities.
"Sorry to say this, but you think there's no other man besides Sean. What's so good about him? You should leave him and try to hook up with another guy." I can see the annoyance on Carl's face. I can see hatred in his eyes.
"Y-you don't hate Sean, do you?" Carl flinched at my question but quickly returned to his straight face.
"I just don't like the way he treats women. Since junior high school, many girls have been after him. I don't know what they saw in him. I don't think there is anything to be proud of. Yes, even though I admit he is quite handsome for a man, he is also quite good at studies. As for the rest, he doesn't have any advantages in my eyes," he said again, which made me even more convinced that Carl didn't like Sean. Or, more precisely, he envied Sean.
"So why are you still holding on even though he has hurt you a lot?" His glare made me feel I had no choice but to answer him this time.
"Maybe you are right that there are many other men in this world, and there are still many handsome men out there. Even the man beside me is also quite handsome." I try to tease him. I chuckled when I saw a blush on Carl's face. It looked like my temptation provoked him.
"But that's not why I love Sean. I've been in a relationship with him for quite a while. I know what kind of person he is. Maybe everyone will think the same as you, considering me a stupid woman who wants to maintain this stupid relationship even after being hurt like this. But I don't care what other people think and think about me. All I know is this love grows by itself in my heart. I believe he feels the same way about me. I know he feels the same love as I do. He's changed now, but I believe he has his reasons. Because everything that happens in this world must have a cause and effect, right? I believe the Sean I know isn't as much of a scumbag as you say he is, Carl. I'll still be waiting for him to tell me why until it's time for me to choose. Choose between maintaining this relationship or ending it." Carl just kept silent. I don't know what he was thinking.
"How lucky he is to have a lover like you. I think there is only one woman like you in this world. Do I have a chance to steal your heart, Leslie?" he said instantly, making me wide-eyed. What does he mean? He just chuckled at my residence. Then he went back into the water, and suddenly, he pulled my hand so firmly that I also went into the water with him.
"Oh, Carl, what are you doing? My clothes are all wet," I grumbled with a sulky face. Carl just kept laughing at my reaction.
"What's the point of having a swimming pool if you just stare at it? Forget your troubles, Leslie. Forget that stupid guy who ignored you, too. It's time to have some fun!!" He screamed loud enough I doubt Sean didn't hear him. Carl pulled my hand again, so now I was forced to swim with him.
"Hey, Leslie. Why don't you just take off your shirt so you can swim more freely?"
"Shut up, just say you want to see my underwear?"
"That knowledge, that's exactly what I meant.
"You pervert!!" I shouted while hitting Carl's body. He didn't stop his pranks; he intended to force my shirt open, so I had to swim as fast as possible to escape from him.
I was startled when I accidentally bumped into something. I was shocked when I realized it was Sean's body that I hit. He looked at me with a look that was difficult to decipher.
"S-sorry, Sean. I accidentally." I was so scared that he would yell at me because lately, he's yelled at me countless times.
"You don't have eyes, do you, Leslie? Even though this pool is wide, why must you swim this way? Just tell me you're purposely trying to annoy us." Of course, Leyna said this, but I ignored it because my eyes were still busy looking at Sean, waiting for the reaction he would show.
"Hey, Leslie. What are you doing here? Do you know that your arrival is only to disturb a couple who are in love?" I gasped when I heard Carl's words, who somehow had been near me since when.
"Yup, I caught you. Hurry up and take off your shirt!"
"Aah! Let me go, Carl!!" I shouted, trying to stop Carl, who was holding my shirt.
I froze then and there as I saw Sean's hand grip Carl's hand tightly, pulling him away from my shirt.
"Heh...why? Are you jealous, Sean? Do you still care about Leslie, aren't you with Leyna now? Come on, don't be that greedy man who monopolizes all the women around you." Carl's trying to piss Sean off, I know that.
"You having fun, Carl?" Said Sean sarcastically.
"That's it, as you can see."
"But can you watch your attitude, especially your hands? Just so you know I've never even been that rude to Leslie. Get those filthy hands of yours away from her!!" Sean's words surprised me and pleased me. It seems he still cares about me.
"If you still care about her and don't want her to be approached by other men, don't ignore her anymore. And stop having fun with other women in front of Leslie. Respect her feelings, she's still your girlfriend, right?" Sean let go of his grip and smiled sarcastically at Carl.
"It seems you misunderstood my words. I mean... I'm not forbidding you to have fun, just take care of those hands of yours."
"So you don't mind me approaching Leslie?"
"Why not, if it makes Leslie happy?" A word that, for the umpteenth time, made me hurt. After that, Sean got out of the water and walked away from us even though he ignored Leyna, who kept screaming his name. Have I meant nothing to you, Sean, for you to have the heart to say that? I immediately left the pool.
My tears welled up, and I walked quickly to my room. However, my steps stopped when I ran into Muggie, who had just exited a room.
"Leslie, what are you doing? Why are you crying?"
"Sorry, Muggie. Next time, I'll tell the story. Aren't you going swimming?" I asked, trying to change the subject.
"No. I've been listening to music in this room ever since. Look, there's a lot of vinyl here. The songs are also very good, can calm the mood."
"Hmm, I see. Sorry, Muggie. I'm resting in my room first," I said while continuing my footsteps.
Arriving in the room, I threw myself on my soft bed, tears flowing non-stop. I don't know how many tears have come out because of Sean's painful words. He doesn't care even if I get approached by another man. Knowing this breaks my heart into pieces. No matter how hard I try to be patient, being treated like this makes my heart break.
