Sean Part 9
"Muggie, this might be my last words to you before leaving here." Everyone stopped their steps when they heard what I said.
"You said Maggie loved Sean, right? Would she be happy to see you hurt the man she loves so much? No, you're mistaken. She must be so sad to see him. Maybe she's crying in her world watching you cruelly do all this to Sean. You'd be wrong to think Maggie was still waiting for Sean. I'm sure she's already happy in her natural state with Marco. If Maggie didn't want to be with Marco, then there was no way she would go out with him holding hands with a smile. If you thought Maggie was suffering, then she would still be in this world right now, a wandering ghost. But the fact that she had gone to her realm was proof that there was no longer any suffering and regret in her heart. If you love your sister, stop making her sad. Let her rest in peace in her realm." Muggie was crying hysterically, but I saw she was starting to calm down. She has stopped throwing stones at us. I approached her and crouched in front of her, who was still sitting on her bed. I held her hand as I looked into her eyes. There was great sadness in those eyes.
"No matter what you do to us, you are still my best friend to me. I forgive all your mistakes. I'm sure Sean will forgive you too. Stop all of this and be the Muggie I used to know. Forgive us, Muggie, for being so selfish towards Maggie in the past. We must forgive each other because no human being is immune from mistakes. I love you, Muggie, and so does Sean. You remember, he even protected you without hesitation inside the Mansion. Cancel the contract, please," I pleaded, my eyes flooded with tears.
"Don't let your heart be controlled by darkness. Don't let yourself be overtaken by the influence of the ghosts in the Mansion. We, humans, are stronger than them." It was Angie who said that. She crouched beside me.
"Revenge will only give regret. Don't do something that makes you regret it without being able to fix it again," repeated Angie, this time holding my hand and Muggie's.
"Can I still fix it?" Muggie asked, which relieved me instantly. It seemed like what Angie and I had said had touched her heart.
"Of course, it's never too late. You can still fix everything," said Angie with a smile. Muggie looked into my eyes intensely.
"Is Maggie really happy now?"
"Yeah, you know I couldn't lie to you." Muggie suddenly stood up and walked over to a table. She took a thick book from the desk drawer.
"Okay, I believe you, Leslie. I will cancel the magic contract." I nodded my head in response. Muggie opened the thick book, and using a pair of scissors, she cut her palm until the blood was dripping. Her mouth wouldn't stop reciting something. I am still determining what it was, maybe a spell? What is certain is that a sudden gust of wind blew in this room to fly the objects in this room. We had to hold on to something to keep our bodies from flying. This phenomenon happened for a long time and ended when Muggie stopped the ritual.
"I've canceled the magic contract. The magic effect should have come out of Sean's body." I felt immeasurable relief in my heart. I looked at Angie's face. She smiled and nodded at me, saying, 'You did it, Leslie.'
"We have to go to the hospital!" Invite Mr. Leo, to which Angie and I nod.
"Thanks, Muggie," I said, and I followed Angie and Mr. Leo, who had already walked out of the room, ignoring Leyna and Carl, who was still silent.
When we got to the hospital, I rushed to Sean's treatment room. But a problem occurred again. When I entered Sean's treatment room, Aunt Silva, who was there, looked angry. She chased me away with various cruel words that hurt my heart. She blamed me for the state that occurred Sean at the moment—calling me a jinx and other titles that broke my heart. Luckily, Angie managed to persuade her. Angie took her out of this room because there were many things she had to tell Aunt Silva. And I'm relieved that Aunt Silva is willing to follow Angie. Mr. Leo and Sunny also went with Angie and Aunt Silva. Now, in this room, only me and I are left.
I saw his body still lying stiff on his bed. IV line attached to his wrist. His mouth and nose were covered with a respirator. The monitor that was not far from him still showed his weak heartbeat. I'm so sad to find Sean's condition still looking pathetic like this, even though Muggie has canceled her magic contract.
I sat on a chair beside Sean's bed. I hold his hand. His skin feels colder. Not the slightest change since I saw him last time.
"You know I've fought hard to bring you back. I have mobilized all the capabilities that I have to save you. Until when are you going to keep toying with me like this? Hey, Sean. I know you must hear me, right? Hiks... hiks..." I said with tears in my eyes. I feel exhausted. I don't know how many buckets of tears I shed because of Sean. I've always been a whiny girl when faced with Sean-related problems. All this time, I've always tried to be a strong person, but if I still have to lose Sean in the end, I don't know. I doubt I can still survive being a strong person.
"I beg you to open your eyes, come back to me. You are so evil." Still no response from Sean. After that, I was silent for a long time, focusing on his pale face and the tears that kept falling.
I heard the sound of the door opening, and I stood up when I saw Aunt Silva enter the room. She walked up to me. I was afraid she would throw me away again.
"It's okay. You can still sit beside him," she said, which made me confused.
"Mrs. Angie and Mr. Leo have told Auntie everything. Aunt did not expect that her own aunt's niece would do this to Sean. They also tell about your struggle to save Sean. You tried your hardest to save Aunt's son, thank you." She said with her eyes starting to water.
"Sorry. All this time, Aunt was very stupid for hating you even though you didn't do anything wrong. Instead, you always try to help us. Will you forgive Aunt, Leslie?" I was stunned to hear all her words. I was pensive for a moment until I finally nodded my head. Aunt Silva suddenly hugged me gently.
"Sean is lucky to have a girlfriend who loves him as much as you do. From now on Aunt will approve of your relationship. Once again, forgive Aunt, and thank you for everything you have done for Sean." Aunt Silva let go of her arms and turned to stroke my face gently.
"Besides being beautiful, you also have an extraordinarily kind heart. Please take care of Sean and make him happy. Auntie is sure he will come back. Even though he is Aunt's son, Auntie knows he is a strong man."
"Yes, I'm also sure he will return, Aunt," I said with a smile.
"Keep him company." After saying that, Aunt Silva walked away from the room. I was back on the chair. I put my mouth close to Sean's ear and whispered something to him. A word that will bring Sean back to me.
After that, I lay my head next to his hand. I just needed to be patient a little longer, waiting for Sean to find his way home and return to my side.
