Lucas Part 11
"That's bad, we have to go after her!!" I shouted, and without wasting any time, I ran after her. Of course, the ghost's movement was so fast that I lost track of it in an instant.
"Where is she?" Sean, Carl, and Muggie were already standing behind me with their gasps for chasing the ghost, just like me.
"We have to split up to find her. We have to find her, don't let the ghost hurt Leyna. Shout out if one of you finds it," I explained, which my friends nodded in unison. We split up to find her.
I looked for her on the 2nd floor. I ran around every room on this floor. The extent of this Mansion makes it quite difficult for me to find the ghost, and I'm sure my friends feel the same way about me.
If I remember the sound of the ghost's laughter, I'm sure the spirit is none other than the ghost that always bothers me in this Mansion. In my dream last night, he said he wanted to punish those of us who dared to enter this Mansion. The terrible image I saw in my dream suddenly made my body tremble with fear. The sight I saw when, one by one, my friends hurt themselves. Killing us, I remember that's what the ghost wanted. Leyna was in danger, and even though I wouldn't say I liked it, I couldn't stay silent when she was in trouble. I must save her and get my friends out of this Mansion immediately.
"Wuaa!"
I stopped the search when the sound of screaming was heard. A male voice, whether it's Sean or Carl, but I know that scream is a sign that Leyna has been found. I rushed towards the source of the riots, which I believed came from the ground floor.
I stopped my steps when, in the direction of the stairs, I saw Leyna's figure sitting. But what she did immediately made me feel horrible and want to puke. She's eating something. With gusto, she ate the black cat that pounced on me when I entered this Mansion for the first time.
The mouth, hands, and even the clothes Leyna was wearing were stained with the black cat's blood. She ate black cats as if she were a cannibal.
Leyna, I don't mean the ghost was staring at me and Sean, who had been beside me for some time. Then the spirit turned to stare at Muggie and Carl at the bottom of the stairs. Meanwhile, Sean and I were still at the top of the stairs. The ghost picked up and shook the bloodstained body of the black cat towards us in turn as if she were offering us to eat the black cat.
"Oeek... Oeeek..."
It seemed that Muggie couldn't hold back her nausea any longer as she was vomiting her stomach.
"Aah!" shouted Muggie when she saw the ghost approaching her, holding out the black cat's body.
"We have to catch her!!" I shouted, which Sean and Carl also followed. They intended to catch Leyna, but unfortunately, the ghost's movement was so fast that she managed to escape. Leyna's body floated again. Then she climbed the stairs by jumping several times. Her jump was so high that she quickly arrived before me, who was still standing at the top of the stairs. I was shocked not to play and felt my body stiffen as soon as the ghost was in front of me at a very close distance.
"Aah!" I screamed when her eyes looked scary, face to face with mine. The ghost laughed again, and I walked backwards away from it. The spirit suddenly crawled up as if it were walking on all fours. She kept crawling back into Leyna's room.
"Leslie, are you all right?" asked Carl, walking up to me while Sean and Muggie followed the ghost into the room.
"I am alright. Come on, let's follow them, Carl." Carl nodded, and we also went into the room.
I stood beside Sean and Muggie in the room, staring disgustedly at the bed. On the bed, Leyna was seen continuing her activity of eating the black cat that had stopped earlier. She swallowed it so voraciously that it made my stomach feel so sick looking at it. Muggie even regurgitated her stomach contents.
Then Leyna lay face down on her bed, her gaze fixed on us. She grinned and, for the umpteenth time, laughed at us again.
"Who are you? Quickly get out of our friend's body!!" I shouted at the ghost.
"Who am I? Hahaha." The male voice echoed again in the room. This time, the ghost responded to my question. I hope he will tell me what he wants this time.
"You don't need to know who I am, but I know who you are." His eyes bulged and stared at us alternately. His gaze stopped when it landed on me.
"You ... your name is Leslie ... pretending to be strong but weak. Pretending to be kind when your heart is filled with darkness. Your heart is full of hatred for this woman I'm possessing right? Stop pretending to be a stupid human. Hahahahahaha." My eyes widen when he talks about me. No, I'm not who he says I am. I don't like Leyna, but I don't hate her. I'm sure of that. Only I know my feelings.
"And you ... you are worse. Not only filled with hate, but your heart is also filled with revenge and envy. Need my help to avenge you, Carl." Now, he was talking about Carl. Just like me, Carl seemed surprised to hear the ghost's words. I know the spirit is provoking us. He said things that contradicted our true feelings.
"Sean Maxwell ... How to put it, huh? You are the saddest human being. Pretending to be fine when in fact. Hahaha... your end is near." What the ghost said, I don't know. I don't understand what it means at all. However, if what he said was true, Sean, what would become of him?
"Shut up!! You demon who pretends to be God. Pretending to be able to read the future and human hearts when what you say is nonsense. You just want to lead us astray!!" Sean shouted bravely. What he said was true. I felt foolish for ever believing in the ghost's words.
"Why are you angry? What I say is the truth. Hahaha."
"Shut up!! Get out of my friend's body right now!!" I admire Sean's bravery. He didn't look the least bit afraid of talking to the ghost.
"Three days, and this woman will never live again," said the ghost with a sinister grin. Could it be possible that what he said meant that Leyna would die if the spirit continued to possess her for three days? That's what it means.
"I'm sorry if our arrival disturbed you. Please get out of her body. We promise to leave this Mansion soon." I tried to persuade him, although I'm not sure what I said was able to affect an evil ghost like him.
"I never let my prey off the hook. Whoever enters this place will die. Likewise with you. Hahaha."
"NO! AAH!!"
Muggie suddenly screamed hysterically, and she ran out of the room. I am still determining where she will go.
"We'll start with the naive woman," said the ghost with a sinister grin. I see what he means: Muggie is in danger. Instantly, I ran to catch up with Muggie and Sean and Carl running with me.
We were pretty far from Muggie, but we knew Muggie was running towards the main door, and she must have meant to leave the Mansion.
"Muggie, wait!!" I screamed, trying to stop it.
"No! I don't want to die! I want to go home!!" Muggie returned my shout and didn't stop in the slightest. She was a little closer to the main door, but I saw several urns flying toward her from a distance.
"WATCH UP MUGGIE!!"
I screamed as loud as I could, but the jars flew quickly towards Muggie, and there was nothing I could do to save her even though I was already on the ground floor, but I was too far from Muggie.
