Honeymoon Part 3
My gaze remained fixed on the calm sea this afternoon. The waves were not too big, gently caressed by the mild breeze, which felt comfortable as it brushed against my face and hair.
"Leslie, let's go up."
Even Sean's voice made me turn my gaze. Now, my eyes were directed towards an object parked not far from me. It was a speedboat rented by Sean. This was the speedboat we had discussed at the restaurant. Because Sean was so eager to navigate the sea using the speedboat, I was helpless to refuse.
"Leslie, hurry up. We're leaving now."
"Have you prepared everything? Are you sure nothing is left behind?" I reminded him once again because Sean had been preparing our gear on his own since earlier, while he asked me to wait here.
Sean nodded. "Yes, everything is ready. Don't waste any more time; let's go now."
Although for some reason, my heart hesitated to board the speedboat, I eventually complied. I accepted Sean's helping hand to get on the speedboat. After that, Sean took the helm. I squinted at him.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Are you sure you can drive this speedboat? Why don't we hire someone to drive it for us?"
"Huh? You underestimate me, Leslie. Of course, I can drive it. If I couldn't, how could I invite you to rent this speedboat?"
Sean's expression was very serious; I felt he wasn't lying.
"Alright, I believe you. Let's go; we don't want to go home too late."
"It's actually good to be in the sea in the evening; we can see the sunset. It will be very beautiful."
I sighed, even though I actually agreed with him; watching the sunset at sea in the evening would indeed be beautiful and enjoyable.
"Yes, it will be beautiful, but I don't want to go home too late. I want to rest earlier today."
"Hmm, it seems you're still tired from our activities last night."
I rolled my eyes, bored because Sean had been talking about it all day.
"No, stop talking about last night. Let's go before I change my mind, and we don't end up taking this speedboat."
Perhaps Sean was afraid to hear my threat because he immediately accelerated the speedboat, making us quickly sail into the middle of the ocean.
"Wow, isn't this fun?"
"Yes, it's exciting," I replied because I agreed with him. It was indeed enjoyable.
"That's why I invited you to rent this speedboat because I knew you would like it. Now, do you believe that I really understand you, Leslie?"
I just snorted at Sean's confident words. Our journey through the ocean continued; the speedboat we were on was now very far from where we had boarded earlier, and we were truly in the middle of the ocean.
"Sean, how about capturing this enjoyable moment?" I asked enthusiastically as I had a plan.
"Sure."
"In that case, lend me your phone."
Sean furrowed his brow, looking puzzled as I reached out my hand to him. "Why not use your phone?"
"I left my phone at the hotel." I grinned at the end of my statement; it was a careless mistake not to bring my phone, and I hoped Sean wouldn't scold me.
"Ugh, be more careful next time. Your phone is essential; you should have it with you wherever you go."
"Yeah, yeah, I know. I accidentally left it at the hotel. Enough, don't bring this up again. Where's your phone?"
Still grumbling, Sean took out his phone, which I gladly accepted. I then approached him because Sean, who was holding the helm, had difficulty getting closer to me.
"Come on, smile, Sean," I said while pointing the camera on Sean's phone towards the two of us. Yes, we were capturing this enjoyable moment by taking a photo. Sean complied with my request, and we successfully took several pictures.
"Wow, the results are good," I murmured as I looked at the photos we had just taken, while Sean remained focused on steering the speedboat.
My attention on the phone screen was diverted when I heard a sound from the side. As I turned, I instantly shrieked with joy. "Sean, look at that!" I pulled Sean's shirt to make him look in the direction I was pointing.
"Those are dolphins. They often come to the surface and jump around like that."
Sean tried to explain because what we were seeing now was indeed several dolphins swimming near the speedboat, even leaping out of the water. The sound of their jumps was what I had heard earlier.
"Wow, this is incredibly beautiful. I'm so lucky to see dolphins swimming beside us like this. I'm going to take pictures of them."
Sean didn't comment on anything, just smiled while shaking his head at my excitement. Once again, I successfully captured this precious moment, taking several photos of the dolphins swimming, and I was fortunate to capture some moments when they leaped out of the water.
"It seems you're very happy, Leslie?"
At that moment, I turned to Sean and nodded. "Yes, I'm so happy. Thank you for taking me on this extraordinary experience."
"Anything for you, Leslie. I love you."
For a moment, I fell silent, suddenly reminded of when I almost lost Sean a few years ago because Muggie had sent evil magic to him. However, I was grateful because my Sean had returned, and now he's my husband, and we will always be together from now on.
"I love you more, Sean."
I don't know where I got the courage, but I approached Sean, then planted a brief kiss on his lips. However, I didn't expect Sean to suddenly grab my hand and unite our lips again. The brief kiss turned into a long and deep one. We only broke the kiss when the speedboat we were on suddenly stopped.
"Why did you stop? Why did you turn off the engine?" I asked, puzzled.
"No. I didn't turn off the engine."
"Then why did it stop?"
"Ugh, it seems like it ran out of fuel."
I widened my eyes, surprised and starting to panic. "Out of fuel? What now? We're in the middle of the ocean, Sean!"
"Calm down. I'm sure there's a reserve fuel prepared by the ones who rented this speedboat. I'll look for it. You wait here."
Sean got off the driver's seat and walked to find the reserve fuel he mentioned. However, after Sean had been searching for quite some time, he didn't return with the fuel. Curious about what happened, I walked over to him, still busy searching.
"How is it, Sean? Is there any fuel?" I asked, starting to feel a bad omen.
"Ugh, they didn't prepare a reserve fuel. I can't find it anywhere."
My bad feeling turned into reality; what I feared had indeed happened.
"Why is this happening?"
"I thought they must have anticipated this by preparing a reserve fuel."
"You should have checked before we set off. Didn't I ask you before we left? You said everything was ready."
Sean looked annoyed by my words, glaring sharply with his face turning red like a boiled crab. "I did prepare everything, but I didn't expect the ones who rented this speedboat didn't provide a reserve fuel."
"This is your mistake. You should have been more careful. I warned you from the beginning."
"So, you're blaming me?"
"Because it is your fault. You didn't prepare everything properly."
"Don't blame me when you didn't help at all while I was getting ready."
"Weren't you the one who told me to wait while you prepared everything for our trip? Besides, if you were careful, this wouldn't have happened. I warned you from the start, Sean. Why were you so careless?"
"Don't blame me because the one at fault here is the owner of this speedboat. How could they not prepare reserve fuel?"
"Don't blame others, Sean, because all of this is your fault for not being careful."
"You... Ugh, don't make me angry, Leslie. Annoying."
"You're the annoying one. Clearly at fault, but you refuse to take responsibility and instead blame others."
"Enough! Do as you please!"
Sean yelled at me; he seemed very angry, although I should be the angrier one. Sean left me alone and returned to the driver's seat. I also had no intention of following him because, for me, the problem that befell us was Sean's fault for not being careful.
What should we do now? In the middle of the ocean like this, there's no one we can ask for help. And my biggest question, what will happen to us after this?
