Sean And Leslie Part 2
I was trying to get up when I felt someone's head beside my hand. Glancing at her, I could tell who the sleeping person was. I stroked the top of her head slowly. The owner of the head was disturbed by my actions because she finally raised her head and was now looking at me in disbelief.
Her eyes were filled with tears, and suddenly, she threw herself into my arms.
"Sean, thank goodness. Thank goodness you're back," she said with sobs.
"Yes, Leslie. Where is this?" I asked with one hand, returning her hug.
"You're in the hospital," she replied, still in my arms.
"Why am I here? What happened?"
"I'll tell you everything later. Now I have to call the doctor and the others." She let go of the hug and smiled cheerfully at me.
"Wait a moment, I'll be right back." She ran away from me. I felt weak but forced myself to lean on the back of my bed.
Shortly after that, several people entered this room. People I know. A doctor examined my condition and finally individually released the medical equipment attached to my body. I looked at the people who were surrounding me at this time.
"Hey, guys. Finally, you realize, too," said the most annoying man. Who else, if not Leo?
"That's it," I replied lightly.
"How are you?" he asked again.
"According to you?" He put on his annoyed face when he heard my ambiguous answer.
"I think you look pathetic." This time, the answer is enough to irritate me.
"That sucks," I replied with a chuckle.
"Sean, thank goodness you're back." This time, it was Angie who spoke. I just smiled in response.
"Bro Sean, thank goodness you're back!!" Shouted a girl while lunging at me with her arms. Who else but my spoiled sister Sunny did it?
"I thought you were going to die, Bro," she said, crying in my arms.
"Geez, you want me to die, huh?" I asked while I gently stroked my beloved sister's hair.
"Of course not. Even though my brother is foolish, I'm not ready to lose you, Bro." After saying those annoying words, she let go of her hug on me and turned to look at Leslie, who was standing beside my mother.
"This is all thanks to Sis Leslie. Thank you, sis, for saving my stupid brother."
I smack Sunny's forehead, something I haven't done for a long time. She winced in pain and walked away from me. Then, a surprising thing happened after that. My cruel mother approached me and sat beside me.
"Thank goodness you're okay, Sean. Mom is pleased. Oh yes. There's something I have to tell you. Mother has already filed for divorce on your stepfather." I was startled to hear it. The mother I know loved that jerk suddenly decided to part ways with him. Did I hear that right?
"Mother already regrets all the mistakes of the mother. If we are officially divorced, Mother promises that the three of us will live happily again as before. Like when your late father was still in our midst. I promise I won't ignore you anymore. Mom wants to fix our relationship which has been sour lately. Sean... will you forgive all of your mistakes and give your mother a second chance to correct all your mistakes in the past?" She said with her eyes that started to shed tears. I've never seen my mother act like this before. However, I found no lies or pretense in her eyes. I know she said all that sincerely. I finally nodded my head in response. Mother seemed happy to see my reaction.
"Forgive me too for often talking and being rude to Mom," I said, finally speaking. Suddenly, Mother hugged me, something she had never done to me in a long time. Of course, I hugged her back.
"Thanks, Sean." Then she let go of the hug and turned her gaze to Leslie before she looked back at me.
"Sean, from now on, I won't forbid you from seeing Leslie again. Mother has approved of your relationship now. You're lucky to be loved by a girl like her. Please don't waste it. You have to make it happy. You understand, right?" I looked into Leslie's face; she was looking at me, too, and I nodded.
"Okay, I'm sure you two want to talk. We better get out and not disturb you. Let's go!!" I took my mom, which Sunny, Leo, and Angie agreed to. The four of them walked away, leaving me alone with Leslie. Leslie came over to me and sat on a chair beside my bed.
"How do you feel now? Do you want to eat something?" she asked attentively. I shook my head in response.
"I feel fine. I don't know what happened but thank you for saving me. It was your voice that guided me until I managed to find my way home." I said sincerely. It was Leslie's voice that had saved me. If, at that time, I had continued my intention to enter that gate, I would have died by now, or I wouldn't exist in this world anymore.
"Thanks, I'm so glad you're back."
"Lesley, I'm sorry. I forgot all our memories in the past. I can't remember any of our memories." Finally, I told her the truth. I don't know. I still feel very guilty for her for forgetting all our memories, which are precious to both of us. Leslie looked surprised to hear my confession. She looked at me in silence.
"Sorry, I've been trying to remember but..." My words were cut off when I felt her soft hands holding my face and pulling me so that our eyes met each other at this time.
"Does not matter. As long as we're together, we can make new memories, as much as we want," she said, smiling gently at me.
"The most important thing to me is you've returned safely." Now, that smile was replaced by tears. Suddenly, I hugged her tightly.
I'm very relieved because of the hate, anger, annoyance, or other annoying feelings that I previously felt whenever I was with Leslie. Now I don't feel anymore. But I have another feeling. I can feel how important and meaningful this girl is in my arms.
