Lucas Part 10
The sun's rays hit my face, making my eyes, which still want to be closed, finally force me to open them. I slowly sat up and stretched my stiff body. Occasionally, I yawn, indicating I'm still very sleepy.
"You're awake."
The sound suddenly made me cringe and reminded me that I wasn't in my room now. Sean was sitting on the edge of the window with his eyes fixed on me. Last night, I slept in Sean's room, and because of that, I could fall asleep because the ghost stopped bothering me. I turned my gaze to a clock on the wall: 08.24. That's the time that the watch is showing at the moment. Unlike my usual self, I didn't expect to wake up this late. And it wasn't very comfortable because I was sleeping in Sean's room, and he didn't wake me. If you look at his neat appearance, I'm sure Sean has been awake since earlier.
"S-sorry, I woke up late," I said while scratching my head, which didn't itch.
"It's okay, it's only natural that you slept very late last night. Hurry up and take a shower, we have breakfast." He said that surprised me, so he hadn't eaten even though it was already noon. So, since waking up, he did not move one bit from this room. He kept waiting for me until I woke up. Thinking about it brought a smile of its own accord to my lips.
"Y-you haven't had breakfast yet? Why didn't you just have breakfast earlier?"
"I remember a few hours ago someone begged me with tears in my eyes not to leave her alone in this room. I'm just fulfilling that person's wish. even though I have to wait a long time for her to wake up with my stomach that keeps screaming asking to be filled," he said, which made me chuckle. At the same time, I feel happy because Sean still shows his concern for me.
"Sorry, let me take a shower first."
Without waiting for his answer, I rushed to the bathroom in this room. I was quickly finishing my bath when I remembered I had forgotten something. How stupid of me. I went into the bathroom without a towel. It seemed impossible to get dressed immediately, with my body still drenched like this. If I left the bathroom to bring a towel, Sean would still be in the room, and there was no way I'd come out naked in front of him. I curse my stupidity and carelessness.
"Sean!!" I shouted, calling him. Finally, I bravely decided to ask Sean for help.
"Why?" His voice was faint, but I could still hear it.
"Excuse me, can you get me a towel, please? I forgot to bring it earlier." Silence. No answer. I thought he didn't want to help me, and I thought it would be fine. I just put on my clothes even though my body was still drenched. However, I immediately shook off that thought when I heard a knock on the door.
"S-Sean," I called hesitantly.
"Here's the towel, you're so careless." I opened the door slightly and took out one hand. Immediately, a towel landed smoothly in my hand. Then, I quickly closed the door again.
"Thank You." There was no answer from Sean, but I could hear his footsteps fading away. After finishing all my activities in the bathroom, Sean and I came out of the room.
"Do you want to change your clothes? I don't mind accompanying you to your room if you want to change." Of course, I was surprised to hear that today. He was very kind and gentle, very different from the cold attitude he had shown me recently.
"Y-yes, sorry to bother you." He ignored what I said, but he kept his word. He walked me to my room.
"I'll wait here," he said after stopping at my bedroom door. I just nodded at him. I immediately entered the room. I glanced around the room, worried that last night's ghostly figure was still here. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw no figure in my room. After finishing changing clothes, I rushed out of the room. It seemed that Sean was still faithfully waiting for me at the door. Without a word spoken, Sean and I stepped into the dining room.
In the dining room, Muggie and Carl were there. They look like they are eating their food. I sat beside Muggie and intended to greet her, but she suddenly woke up as if deliberately avoiding me. Seeing her attitude, I think she's still mad at me because of what happened at the lake yesterday.
"Where's Leyna?" Sean asked, which made my heart a little annoyed. He cared so much about Leyna, and I resented it.
"I'll wake her up. Maybe she's still sleeping." Muggie strolled away after saying that. I looked at the food that was already served on the table. Indeed, Muggie was the one who prepared all of this. I feel bad for not helping her this morning.
"Leslie, looks like last night I heard you scream or I was just delirious, huh?" Carl asked me that.
"Y-yes."
"What is it? Why shout? I also heard you banging on the door and if I'm not mistaken it seems you walked into Sean's room. Don't tell me you slept in Sean's room?" He asked again, which immediately made me wide-eyed. I didn't expect Carl to see me enter Sean's room. I hope he doesn't think that way about us.
"Hn, so what if he sleeps in my room, do you mind?" Sean said with a cynical look at Carl.
"I know you guys are dating, but I didn't expect your relationship to go that far." Hearing his words, I could already guess what I was afraid of actually happening. It seemed that Carl had misunderstood me and Sean.
"That's none of your business," Sean said with a smirk. And I don't know, I saw a look of annoyance on Carl's face, or maybe it's just my feeling.
"I did sleep in Sean's room last night. That's because I was so scared. Last night, there was a ghost that bothered me. But don't get me wrong, we didn't do anything as you think," I explained. I was worried that the incident at the lake yesterday would happen again if I let the two of them continue to bicker.
"A ghost bothering you?" Carl needs clarification. As I was about to tell Carl about last night's horrific incident, I was cut off when we heard Muggie's scream.
I, Sean, and Carl rushed over to Muggie, who we believed was in Leyna's room.
Arriving at Leyna's room, I saw Muggie sitting on the floor with a frightened look in her eyes. I went over to her and finally found out the cause of Muggie's fear when she looked at the bed in this room. Leyna's condition was extraordinary. She was lying down with her head to her waist on the floor while her feet were on the bed. What was terrible was the look in her eyes that glared at us—dark circles around her eyelids. Without getting close, I could tell what was going on with her. Leyna, there was no doubt she was possessed.
"Hahaha."
Leyna laughed. It wasn't precisely the ghost in Leyna's body that was laughing. A man's hoarse voice sounded out from Leyna's mouth. Then suddenly, Leyna's body floated, and laughter came out of her mouth.
"L-Leyna… why her?" Carl asked in a panicked voice.
"She's possessed," I answered briefly and thoughtfully.
"What should we do? We have to help her," Sean said and walked over to Leyna, who was still floating.
"No, Sean. Don't go near her. We don't know what the ghost wants." Sean finally stopped in his tracks.
Leyna stopped floating, and now she is standing on her bed. I know at a time like this, only I can handle that ghost. I dare myself to communicate with her.
"What do you want? If you want us to leave this Mansion, we will leave right now. So get out of my friend's body!!"
"Hahaha."
Her laugh sounded very scary. Then suddenly she ran very fast. I thought she intended to attack me because she was running toward me. But apparently, my thinking was wrong when I saw her run towards the door and leave the room.
