Evan Part 3
After the rain stopped, we decided to head back to the dormitory. On the way, the atmosphere is crowded with vehicles passing by. Today, I am pleased, after all this time, I can finally date Sean again. We laughed together, and remembering that kiss always makes me smile. I wrapped my arms around Sean's waist, who was focused on riding his motorcycle. Then I rested my head on his back. Very comfortable, I'm pleased with Sean. I hope forever we will continue to be together like this.
Then, suddenly, Sean stopped his motorbike. I looked up to see what was happening, so Sean stopped his motorbike. I also understood when I saw a red light that made all the vehicles in our lane stop together.
The red light turned green for a short time. If someone were in a hurry, he would be annoyed. Then, a black Honda Jazz car at the forefront suddenly burst forward at full speed even though the red light had not yet turned green, and its action caused a big catastrophe. A huge oil tanker truck passed by from the other direction, and the collision between the car and the truck was inevitable. The vehicle crashes right into the tank, causing the tank to shatter and the oil inside to spill onto the road shortly after that.
There was an extraordinary explosion. The fire grabbed quickly due to the oil spilling onto the streets. The atmosphere was starting to panic on this street, mainly because of the many vehicles standing still due to the earlier red light. Everyone ran away from their cars. The only thing they could think about was saving themselves from the explosion. Sean held my hand tightly and led me away from the flames, which spread backwards, destroying the many vehicles lined up neatly. Even Sean's motorbike seemed to catch fire. Luckily, we escaped quickly.
'AAH!"
'WUA!"
The explosion sounded very scary, and everyone's screams made the atmosphere in this place chaotic. My body collided with another person, running wildly regardless of the people around me. I fell and felt pain in my knee.
'Leslie, wake up quickly!!" Sean shouted and grabbed my hand again to run. We ran again as far as possible from the explosion site. After seeing many people crowding around, Sean and I also stopped with our breaths out of breath. Despite my fear, I mustered the courage to look at the accident scene earlier. It was terrible there, so many vehicles were destroyed by fire. The fire was still blazing with magnitude. Black smoke was billowing into the air. The sound of explosions from newly burning cars could be heard incessantly. This is the first time in my life that I witnessed an accident of this magnitude right before my eyes.
I'm undoubtedly scared right now, but something else has made my eyes widen and my body tremble. From the flames, I saw several floating spirits. Could it be that the ghosts came from people who couldn't escape from the explosion and ended up dying? The figures of the flying spirits were terrifying according to the condition of their bodies when they died. But there is one thing that all these spirits have in common, namely, their bodies that are scorched by fire. The number of souls is not tiny, indicating that there are quite a lot of people who were victims in this tragic accident. Spirits keep coming out of the flames. I'm terrified right now. I'm used to seeing ghosts, but this is the first time I've experienced it in that many numbers.
'Aah!!" I screamed hysterically, my eyes widened, staring at the spirits. My body was shaking violently, and I couldn't seem to hear the screams of the people around me. All the noise that I heard just now was not heard at all. On the contrary, what I hear now are the screams of pain, the sounds of crying, and the howling of the spirits. I want to get out of this place.
'LESIE! LESLIE! AWARENESS, LESLIE!" Someone's shaking me. I can feel it. I regained consciousness, and Sean was the first person I saw.
'SEAN! SEAN! THERE... THERE... AAH!" I screamed at Sean with my index finger pointing at the flames.
'LESLIE, SHUT UP, YOU SHOUT LIKE A CRAZY PERSON. SHUT UP!!" He snapped at me. He scolded me instead of trying to calm me down. Maybe without realizing it, my tears have been flowing.
Sean pulled my hand roughly away from the crowd of people who were still watching the flames. It hurts. My hand hurts so much from being removed by Sean.
"WHY ARE YOU? I KNOW YOU ARE SCARED AND PANICKING. BUT IT'S NOT ONLY YOU WHO ARE AFRAID. EVERYONE HERE ARE ALSO SCARED AND PANIC LIKE YOU. SO SHUT UP, DON'T MAKE ME MORE DIFFICULT!!" he shouted in front of me. From his eyes, he radiated enormous anger.
'Y-you don't know what I saw, Sean. Many people died there, and I saw their spirits leave their bodies. Their figures are very scary."
'You've often seen spirits, right? So stop screaming like crazy. And can you stop being a crybaby girl who always cries?!" I was amazed to see Sean's attitude. He was not the Sean I knew all this time because the old Sean would try to calm me down instead of scolding me like this.
Many police car sirens, ambulances, and fire engines were heard. In unison, several fire engines sprayed water toward the blaze to extinguish the fire. Meanwhile, the police examined all the survivors, and the medical team swiftly treated the injured victims.
"Let's go to where the medical team is," Sean asked, holding my hand again. I was furious because of his treatment, and because of that, I pushed his hand roughly.
"No need, I'm fine."
"But your knee is bleeding, you fell earlier."
"I said I'm fine!" I said firmly.
"We still have to go to the medical team." He keeps forcing me to make me even more annoyed at him.
'I Told You I Was Fine!!" I shouted at him.
"YOU DON'T SEE MY HANDS ARE ALSO HURT, STOP BEING SELFISH!!" He shouted back at me. My eyes widened when I realized that Sean's hand was indeed injured, and there was even a shard of glass stuck in it, and he hadn't removed it yet. Finally, I obeyed, walking towards the medical team. My tears never stop flowing. I'm still afraid of the scary sight I saw earlier, plus Sean's rough treatment of me.
Sean and I were treated in separate places. I was so scared that I didn't feel the slightest bit of pain when a medical team treated the wound on my knee, even though I knew my injury was quite severe and profound if I saw the wound on my knee that was constantly bleeding. A member of the police approached me and asked for my family's phone number to call. Of course, I gave him my parents' phone number.
My wound was finished being treated and even wrapped in bandages, but I still faithfully sat near one of the ambulances. I didn't want to approach Sean. I thought, let him come to me.
However, 20 minutes passed, and Sean did not come. Finally, I decided to go to him. From a distance, I saw Sean's mother talking to Sean. The police contacted her and asked her to pick up Sean, and I'm sure my parents have also received the same call from the police, and they will come to pick me up soon.
