Sarah Part 6
Angie closed her eyes. Judging from her lips that were moving, I was sure she was reciting something. Not long after, Leslie's eyes, which had been closed for a while, slowly began to open. I gasped when I looked at her eyes, which were bright red, very different from before. I remember a few hours ago, her eyes were still expected. Could this be a sign that the ghost has increasingly taken control of Leslie's body?
Leslie's eyes, no, I would rather say the ghost's eyes were staring at us. Eyes full of burning hatred and vengeance.
"Who are you?" asked Angie, which was responded to with a grin by Leslie. Angie took something out of her small bag. Looking at it closely, it was a necklace. Then Angie put the necklace on Leslie's forehead. A second later, there was a scream of pain from Leslie's mouth, but clearly, it wasn't Leslie's voice.
"Quickly answer, who are you?" asked Angie again, but with a bit of a snap.
"Sarah," she answered briefly but resonantly. A voice that makes everyone who hears it feel sure that that voice does not deserve to be owned by a living human but rather belongs to a creature called a spirit. Apart from echoing, her voice sounded heavy, like a blend of the voices of a man and a woman speaking simultaneously.
"What do you want?"
"Revenge."
"Why are you possessing this girl's body?"
"Because she can help me get revenge."
"Who do you want revenge on?"
"Hihihi."
The ghost returned to its sinister laughter. The sound of laughter always managed to make my hair goosebumps instantly.
"Say who you want revenge on? What happened to you? I promised to help you solve your problem, so tell me, what happened to you?" Angie asked quite a few questions to the ghost this time, which she answered again with a grin.
"Answer quickly!!" Angie shouted as she put the necklace back on Leslie's forehead.
"Don't say you can help me, stupid human. Hihihi, you think I don't know who you are. You're just a lowly human who always envied this girl. You're jealous because she has the abilities you've always wanted. Hihihi."
Angie looks angry. I can see clearly from her face that it is red with anger. "Quickly get out of this girl's body!!"
"Never until my revenge is avenged."
Suddenly, Angie walked to the window right in front of Leslie, who was tied to a chair. In one fell swoop, Angie drew the curtains over the window. A second later, the sunlight shone on Leslie's body.
"Aaah!" shouted the ghost. My eyes widened as I saw her skin emitting smoke, as if her body was on fire. That sunlight could have burned her skin.
"Damn woman!!" shouted the ghost that sounded so loud in this room.
"Quickly get out of this girl's body, or you will burn," Angie threatened but was ignored by the ghost. The ghost struggled to try to untie the chair. The chair Leslie was sitting on flew high in the air, and then it slid to the floor in one crash.
The brutal impact of the chair on the floor made a loud sound. The chair that Leslie was sitting on shattered instantly. The ghost was still struggling to remove the blanket that tied it. It didn't take long for her to get rid of the blanket. She crawled away from the sun, which was increasingly burning her skin. Leslie's white skin looks blistered. Leslie crawled and got under the bed as if she were hiding there.
"W-what is she doing?" asked Leo with a look on his face that looked shocked and did not believe the terrible sight he had just seen.
"The ghost can't stand the sun. She's sheltering from the sun," answered Angie, trying to explain the current events.
"Angie, how is it? The ghost doesn't seem to want to leave Leslie's body." My voice sounded shaky, not because I was scared but because this happened because I was so worried about Leslie's condition, especially after seeing her body fall from such a height and seeing her skin blistered.
"I'm also very worried about Leslie, I think her soul is wandering in the ghostly world of memories. You guys remember, Leslie would lose her consciousness when her soul wanders in the ghostly world of memories?"
"Yeah, I remember, but normally she's never possessed like this," I replied, my voice sounding more panicked now.
"I'm also as surprised as you, Sean. I don't know what happened to Leslie. Why was the ghost able to enter her body? Maybe Leslie was daydreaming when the ghost approached her, her mind was blank, and because of that her body was easily possessed by the ghost." I don't know what I should do now. Angie seemed to have a hard time getting the ghost out of Leslie's body.
"So now what should we do to help Leslie? To be honest... I can't bear to see her condition," Leo asked, which I almost asked Angie too.
"If we force the ghost out of Leslie's body, it will only make the ghost more rebellious and as a result will injure Leslie's body. There's only one way to get the ghost out of Leslie's body." Angie hanging her words made me furious.
"What way is it? Quickly tell me, Angie!" I said with a little snap.
"We have to bring Leslie back to her senses. We have to lead Leslie so that she fights the ghost to get out of her body. Only Leslie herself was able to do it. I remember back then, I had the same incident as Leslie when Inez's ghost wanted to possess my body. At that time I tried my best to fight it so it can't enter my body. I'm sure with Leslie's abilities, she will be able to expel the ghost from her body."
"Then how do we guide Leslie and wake her up?" Exactly, Leo's question is what I wanted to tell Angie, too.
"I once ventured into the world of ghost memories when Sylvia showed me Inez's world of memories. At that time, I was confused and didn't know how to go back. But I heard Leo's voice that kept calling my name, and because of that voice, I finally found my way back. You also remember every time Leslie lost consciousness because her soul wandered in the world of ghost memories. The sound of our calls always brings her back to her senses. So even now we have to call Leslie, shout her name, guide her so she finds her way back." Leo and I nodded our heads together, agreeing to Angie's suggestion.
I peeked into the gap under the bed where the ghost was now. I felt afraid as if I didn't feel even though if I thought carefully, the ghost might have lunged at me. However, I ignored it. I was relieved when I saw Leslie's eyes were closed.
"It's safe, we can take it out. Mr. Leo, help me, "I asked Leo, who immediately responded with a nod. Angie closed the window curtains again so the sunlight no longer shone in the room. Meanwhile, Leo and I pulled Leslie's body as hard as we could.
When Leslie's body was out from under the bed, I immediately picked her up, ignoring her weight and pressing down on me. I sat her on the bed and leaned her body against the head of the bed.
Angie held Leslie's head and looked at her intently.
"Leslie, wake up. I know you're lost in Sarah's world of memories. Come on out, Leslie. Wake up!!" she shouted.
"Leslie, you are strong. You can fight this ghost!!" Now Leo was shouting it. I gasped when I saw Leslie's eyes, which were still bright red, open. She tried to rebel and pushed Angie's hand, holding her head away.
"Leo, help me, hold her body!!" shouted Angie, who at that moment Leo also followed. Leo held Leslie's body, which continued to struggle. Meanwhile, Angie was still screaming Leslie's name, trying to wake her up.
There are still no signs of Leslie returning to her body. I just stared at her in silence. I don't know what I should do now. Angie and Leo kept calling Leslie's name and didn't seem to make any changes. The ghost just kept on rebelling. But I really can't bear to see all this horror anymore.
Ignoring Leslie's body, which continued to struggle in Leo's embrace, who hugged her from behind her body, I spread my arms, ignoring Leslie's face and gaze, which looked terrible in my eyes at this moment. I hugged her tightly and whispered my heart in her ear.
"You remember our promise, don't you, Leslie? You promised to watch the meteor shower with me. Don't break your promise. I beg you to come back, I can't live without you. I beg you to wake up. You have to fight it, it's your body. Get rid of that ghost from your body. You're strong, Leslie. Remember, you're alive and that ghost... she's dead. She was just a weak curious spirit. Come back to me Leslie, I love you. I am here… I will always be waiting for you."
"Aaaah!"
I heard the ghost scream. Then, her body shook violently. Leo and I let go of our hugs while Angie was still holding her head in a position. Her bright red eyes squirmed horribly, and Leslie's irises stared at the room's ceiling. Little by little, the color of her eyeballs returned to their original color, namely the brownish color of Leslie's eyes. The dark circles surrounding Leslie's eyelids faded until they finally disappeared somewhere. Her trembling body began to weaken until it finally stopped altogether. Then Leslie's body looked weak and almost fell. Luckily, I caught her.
"Leslie! Leslie!!" I shouted. How relieved I was when her eyes looked up at me. The look in her eyes that I believe is Leslie's gentle gaze.
"Sean," she called softly. However, I can hear it. Unknowingly, I hugged her tightly. Finally, my Leslie has returned.
