Shane Part 6
"Leslie, tell me what happened. Why did my father become a wandering spirit?" I was silent. I wanted Aunt Silva to tell Sean the truth.
"ANSWER LESLIE!!" Sean snapped at me for the first time, making me gasp and unable to believe it. However, I can understand it. Sean was filled with rage right now.
"A-aunt Silva and Uncle David are having an affair behind Uncle Shane. Uncle Shane caught them before they died. He also felt hurt because Aunt Silva chose Uncle David over him. Aunt Silva even asked for a divorce before the accident happened. And… and…" My tears started to sob. My body was shaking. I can't say anymore.
"SHUT UP!! YOU HAVE TO DARE TO SLAMMER US. TELLING A LIE!!" Aunt Silva shouted, making my sobs break even more.
"Then what else did my father show you?" asked Sean again with his blank stare.
"Uncle Shane felt very sad to see Aunt and Uncle David's wedding. He was sad and disappointed. Why is Auntie, w-why did Aunt agree to be David's second wife." Aunt Silva's body fell to the floor at that moment, and tears started flowing. As for Sean, I don't know. His eyes are hard to define.
"What else does it show? Tell me everything," said Sean.
"No, Sean. I can't say anymore." My sobs broke even more, but Sean kept forcing me to say it.
"LESIE! TELL EVERYTHING!!" Once again, Sean snapped at me, scaring me. I'm scared right now.
"Leslie, please tell me everything." This time, he said it softly. I tried to calm myself, and then I spoke again.
"Uncle Shane just wants your family to be harmonious again like before. He wants Aunt to end this wrong marriage and stop regretting everything because time cannot be repeated. Uncle Shane has forgiven Aunt. He does not hold grudges or hates Aunt, therefore stops crying while calling his name because it makes him uneasy. You too, Sean, you have to let your father go. He never left. He is always in your heart. He loves and is proud of you. Uncle Shane wants to see you guys happy again like before." I stopped my story. I have conveyed all of Uncle Shane's messages.
'Hiks... hiks... hiks..."
The sound of crying came from Aunt Silva. She was crying while sitting on the floor. I know all my words have hurt her, mainly because I have revealed all the truth about her in front of Sean. I don't want to say it, but this is the only way to appease Uncle Shane's spirit.
Om Shane is now floating right in front of me. His appearance had changed, not as scary as before, but on the contrary. His figure had returned to the handsomeness it had before he died. He nodded and smiled at me as if he had calmed down because I had conveyed all his messages.
"Uncle Shane feels calm now because I have conveyed all the messages from him to you. Sean, Aunt Silva, say something before Uncle Shane goes to his realm." Both Sean and Aunt Silva were silent. While Sean was stunned by her blank stare, Aunt Silva still cried.
"Sean," I called his name softly while touching his shoulder. I know the truth he just heard must have broken his heart. I can feel it just by looking at his blank stare.
"I'm sorry, Father, because I'm still unwilling to let you go. But I promise from now on I will remember your advice first. Thank you, Dad. I love you. Come back to your realm. I will replace the father and take care of Sunny and Mother," Sean said with tears in his eyes. I know Sean was holding back his tears, not coming out as hard as he could.
"Aunt Silva, say something," I said gently. I got up and approached Aunt Silva, who was crying non-stop. I touched her hand, but she firmly pushed my hand away.
"Uncle Shane will be leaving soon," I said. Honestly, I was very disappointed because Aunt Silva refused my presence. It seems she hates me now.
"Shane, I'm sorry I hurt you so much. I'm sorry. But I'm also sorry I couldn't part with David the way you wanted. I still love him. But I promise to improve my relationship with the children. You don't have to worry. I'll take care of them. Our relationship will be good like before. We will also be happy again like before. I also promise I will not call your name again in tears, I will not cry again Shane. I will try to get my happiness back like when we were together. So go to your realm, and rest in peace. Forgive me ... forgive all my mistakes, and thank you ... thank you for your immense love for me ... for children. Thank you for forgiving me and not hating me. There is no need to worry about us anymore. We will be happy." Aunt Silva ended her words, and at that moment, I saw the ghost of Uncle Shane fade away. He smiled at me one last time before his figure completely disappeared from my view.
"Uncle Shane is gone. His spirit has calmed down and has returned to his realm," I said, trying to tell the truth to Sean and Aunt Silva. Sean suddenly walked away without saying anything to us. Aunt Silva was still sobbing in her tears. I want to accompany Aunt Silva, but I know she will again reject my presence. That's why I prefer to follow Sean.
I found Sean sitting lazily on the bed in his room. I approached him. Then I sat beside him.
"Sorry," he said softly.
"Sorry for what, Sean?" I asked, confused.
"Sorry for making you witness the sad and embarrassing plight of my family," he said, making me gasp.
"Don't say that to me. your family is my family, and mine is your family. So don't think like that, Sean. I'm happy because I can help Uncle Shane. He is a perfect father." Sean just looked down with tears in his eyes. He clenched his fists tightly, holding back the sadness that was welling up in his heart. I know it. I can feel it.
"At this time, a man doesn't need to hold back his tears. I'll lend you my shoulder," I said but was ignored by him. I slowly stretched my arms towards his head and put his head on my shoulder. Not long after, I felt his body tremble, and his sobbing sounded pitifully in my ear.
