Sean Part 7
"Leyna, so you're also helping Muggie?" I asked Leyna, who was crying beside Carl.
"I didn't know Muggie was planning to kill Sean. You know I love Sean. I can't possibly want to kill him. At that time, Muggie did tell me about her plan to separate Sean from you. Of course, I was pleased to hear about Muggie's plan because I wanted to separate you two, too. That's why I helped Muggie when she asked my help to put all three of us in the same room in the dormitory. And put Sean and Carl in the same room, too. My uncle owns Grandes University, so it's easy for me to do that. Muggie also told me to keep getting close to Sean, turning on you so you and Sean would always fight." Leyna's sobs grew louder, which didn't make me feel sorry for her.
Now I understand everything. If I think about it all this time, Muggie always took me to a place where Sean and Leyna were by chance. Our meeting was not a coincidence but was planned by them. Muggie always pretended to be on my side and comforted me when I was hurt because of Sean's attitude, without me knowing she was having fun over my misery. I never thought Muggie was that mean to me.
"I didn't know Muggie was going to kill Sean. I realized it when I saw Sean's condition in the hospital. I suspect that things turned out the way they did due to Muggie's plans. That's why I contacted Carl. I'm more and more convinced that Sean is what he is because of Muggie after hearing Carl's story. We decided to come here to ask Muggie to stop her vendetta." Leyna finished her story, and now all that was left was Muggie. I want to hear all the explanations from Muggie.
"You can't dodge anymore, Muggie, now confess what you did. Why did you do that?" Muggie got up from the bed and approached me after hearing my question. She grinned sinisterly at me, a grin full of hatred. The Muggie in front of me didn't seem like the Muggie I knew all along.
"You remember the girl named Maggie?" Muggie asked me, to my astonishment. I don't know. Who was she referring to?
"Maggie... d-don't-" I was drawn to the muttering of Angie standing beside me.
"Ho looks like this friend of yours has remembered it. Why don't you ask this friend of yours?" This time, Muggie stared hatefully at Angie.
"Angie, do you know who Maggie is?" Angie was silent for a moment until she finally spoke again.
"Do you remember, once your soul was held captive by the ghost of Marco, who became a curious ghost because his last wish to have a partner was never fulfilled?" Angie asked, which I answered with a nod. Of course, I remember it. There's no way I can forget that horrible incident.
"Back then, the only way to save you was to provide a partner for Marco. We can do that by burying a girl's body beside his grave. At that time, when Sean and I were looking for a girl's body, Sean suddenly got the news that his cousin had died. Sean got the idea to bury his cousin's body next to Marco's grave. Sean thought his cousin was the right girl. We went to her house and begged her parents, who were none other than Sean's uncle and aunt, to let us bury their daughter's body next to Marco's grave. Finally, Sean's uncle and aunt agreed. Maggie is that girl's name," explained Angie, shocking me.
"Exactly what your friend said. Maggie was sacrificed to save you, Leslie. That girl called Maggie... she's my sister. No, to be more precise she's my twin sister." This fact certainly surprised me even more. So that's why Muggie hates us so much.
"You have no idea how miserable Maggie's life has been. She's not a normal girl like us who can go anywhere we want to go or do whatever we want. Since childhood, her body was frail, and she was often sickly. Drugs support her life. Just a little late taking the drugs then the condition will worsen. She can't be tired. Every day she spends her time in the house. If we can laugh with our friends at school, not so with Maggie. She was always alone. She even learned from a private teacher who was deliberately called to the house by our parents. Can you imagine how much she must have suffered, Leslie?" Muggie asked me. I just stayed silent with my head down.
"But during this time, she never felt lonely. She was always smiling and cheerful. You want to know the reason?" I know Muggie is asking me, but I remain speechless.
"The reason is because of Sean. Since childhood, Sean often came to our house to meet Maggie. They played together and laughed together. Sean told Maggie lots of things about the outside world. The outside world that she could never see. Their relationship was so close that when they were growing up, Maggie fell in love with Sean. I'll never forget the light on her face whenever I talk about Sean. Sean is her true love. Sean is Maggie's source of happiness. But what Sean did after he met you and started dating you, I can't forgive him. Since dating you, he rarely sees Maggie again. Even when he comes, he always tells about you to Maggie. Tell your love story. How do you think Maggie felt about that? Have you ever imagined how hurt and broken her heart is?!" Muggie's voice rose. I could tell her emotions were running high. My tears started flowing after hearing the story. Somehow, I felt I could understand Maggie's agony at that moment.
"She's so devastated, Leslie. I often caught her crying alone. Until the peak without our knowledge, she stopped taking her meds. As a result, she fell ill with typhus for a month until she finally died. But her suffering didn't stop there. Even after she died she had to be sacrificed just to save you, Leslie!!" she shouted right in front of my face, making my tears flow even harder.
"Can you imagine how angry I was when Sean and your friend came to my parents, begging for Maggie's body to be buried next to a man we didn't even know? A man of unknown origin. I hated Sean even more, especially when I saw him kneel in front of my parents, begging for his wishes to be fulfilled by my parents. Finally, my parents agreed. Sean didn't look the least sad or lost hearing Maggie's death. All he could think about was your safety, Leslie!!" I heard Muggie start crying, too. She stopped her story for a moment.
"The day I witnessed Maggie's body being buried beside the grave of a Man named Marco, I vowed in my heart to repay all of Maggie's suffering on both of you. That's why I decided to stay in this city even though my parents had moved to another city. My chance for revenge finally came when I heard Sean and you were going to attend Grandes University. The university belongs to Leyna's Uncle, that's why I asked Leyna for help. I also contacted Carl who I know hates Sean. I know Carl will help me carry out my revenge plan. Of course, I didn't tell them my initial intention to kill Sean because I was worried they would refuse to help me. I went to a great psychic, I asked the psychic to mess with Sean's mind, make him forget his memories of you, make him hate you and stay away from you, and end up making him die. I don't even care anymore even if I have to ally with evil forces to get everything I want. The medium gave me a potion that I had to mix in Sean's food, I pretended to learn to cook and asked Sean to taste it without him knowing that I had mixed the potion. I also handed over the potion to Carl, I told him to mix it in Sean's drink. It took time for the potion to finally work. And everything went according to my plan, the potion worked as I hoped and finally, you feel the pain that Maggie felt. So how does it feel to be ignored by Sean, can you tell us, Leslie? Ooppss... I think I can imagine how it feels, considering you always cry in front of me. Talking about your suffering. Hahahahahaha."
Muggie laughed heartily. It looked like she was so satisfied with all the crimes she had committed. I, Leyna, Carl, Angie, and Mr. Leo, who were in her room, stared at her in horror.
"I understand how you feel. But that revenge will not give happiness to anyone, including you. Revenge will only bring regret, "said Angie, who finally spoke up.
"Shut your mouth, don't interfere!!" Muggie shouted at Angie.
"Don't let yourself be consumed by your grudges. You have to fight it, you have to stop your revenge. Cancel your contract with that magic and release Sean," Angie ordered again, which Muggie smirked in return.
"Will never. He had Maggie dead. Life for life."
I can no longer imagine Muggie filled with hatred in her heart. I don't know how I can convince her to stop her revenge.
