Sarah Part 10
"Leslie, where are we going?" asked Sean with his steps following me right behind me. I ignored it. I just wanted to get to my destination as soon as possible.
I stopped walking when I arrived in front of a room whose door was closed. Then, I immediately opened the door without knocking first. A man sitting in the only chair in the room stared at me in astonishment.
"Who are you?" he asked.
"Gary, you are an asshole. After impregnating one of your employees, you brutally killed her. Then you make the baby, who is none other than your flesh and blood, as a sacrifice for your sacrifice to the devil. Just to get rich, you have the heart to kill and commit all these crimes," I said at length. Gary widened to hear that. Then he banged the table hard.
"What do you mean, Huh? How dare you slander me. Who are you, damn woman? I will report you to the police for daring to damage my good name!!" he shouted, to which I responded with a grin.
"Please, just report it. It just so happens that the police will be here soon. But maybe you'll be arrested because I have all the evidence of your crime," I said firmly. Gary walked quickly to me and immediately grabbed my neck. I was having a hard time breathing. Luckily, Sean didn't stay still. He released his grip on me, and a fight ensued between them.
I was surprised to see Sean, who quickly gave various punches to Gary. Even though I've been dating him for a long time, it's only now that I found out that Sean has martial arts skills. I fell even more in love with him after seeing his abilities.
"So this man is the source of the problem?" asked Sean, his hands still locking Gary's movements.
"Yeah, we'll take him to Sarah's."
"I don't understand, even though this bastard is nearby. Why doesn't that accursed ghost get her revenge right away? Why did she hurt us so much that she had to enter your and Angie's bodies?" Sean asked, which made me too. That's why I just kept silent because I didn't even know what answer to give.
"We better get back to the room," I said, which Sean immediately complied with. With his face already quite battered by Sean's beatings, Gary put up no resistance at all. He just walked in the direction we were going. Of course, Sean held him in case he didn't run away.
Once inside the room, Angie's eyes blazed like a hawk staring hatefully at Gary.
"I've brought him. You can do anything to this man who has made you suffer. Now get out of Angie's body!" I shouted at Sarah. Back slowly, she crawled down the wall. Suddenly, Angie's body almost fell when her feet were planted on the floor. Luckily, Leo managed to catch her before Angie fell.
Now, I can see the ghost of Sarah, who has left Angie's body. Her figure was terrible. Her whole body was dripping blood onto the floor. Of course, only I could see the blood. Her stomach was torn open, showing her intestines hanging out. Her long hair was a mess and swept across the floor. Even though she was floating, her hair still hung on the floor. Her long tongue stuck out and kept bleeding, making me want to vomit just looking at it. She was flying towards us. I could tell Gary was the one she was aiming for. Her hand, covered in long, sharp fingernails, stretched towards Gary's neck. But before Sarah's hands could reach Gary's neck, a green light emanating from Gary's neck sent a kind of electrical energy to Sarah so that Sarah discouraged her from strangling Gary. Seeing that, I realized that Sarah couldn't get her revenge on Gary because it seemed like Gary was wearing an antidote so spirits wouldn't hurt him.
I also looked at Gary's neck; as I expected, a necklace was attached to his neck. I pulled the chain until it broke and slipped from his neck.
"Damn it! What are you doing? Give me back the necklace!!" shouted Gary, thrashing, trying to free himself from Sean, who was still locking his hands.
"Sean, let him go," I said, which Sean immediately followed. A second later, Sarah choked him and lifted Gary's body so he was floating.
"W-what happened to him?"
"Sarah is getting her revenge," I said in response to Sean's question.
"We have to save him. He could die." I shook my head, showing my disapproval at Sean's words.
"We can't interfere. This man is already so lost in the dark after all."
"B-but..."
"Sean, come on. You better hurry to the front of the inn, maybe the police you called will come soon. You must bring them here immediately." Sean stared at me wide open. I'm sure he didn't believe what I just said. If I were the usual one, maybe I would have tried to stop Sarah from killing Gary. However, I don't know. As a fellow woman, I can feel Sarah's pain. If I were Sarah, I would do the same with her. After all, this is the only way to appease Sarah's spirit.
After Sean left, I walked over to Angie and Leo. Leo was tending to the wound on Angie's arm with great care. Angie had prepared everything before coming to this inn. She even brought the medicine, ironically used to treat her wounds. Angie's eyes were open, but her body looked frail.
My tears, which had stopped flowing, are now flowing again. I couldn't bear to watch Angie get hurt to save me. All the suffering that Angie felt, I caused it.
"I'm sorry, Angie. It's all because of me, you got hurt." Angie shook her head while smiling at me.
"Thank goodness you're back, Leslie."
"I should be the one saying that, right, Angie? Are your contents okay?" I asked with increasingly broken sobs.
"Yes, we are fine. Has the problem been solved? Has the ghost calmed down?" I glanced at Sarah, who was still in the same position. Gary was still thrashing, which indicated that Sarah had not taken his life. I saw it clearly: Sarah's tears of sorrow. The tears were proof that she loved Gary.
"Not yet, but the problem will be solved soon," I replied. Angie and Leo followed my gaze. Yes, we can do nothing but silently witness Sarah's revenge.
Not long after, I heard the sound of footsteps of several people entering the room. As I expected, it was Sean and some members of the police who came. Several members of the police force could only stare in astonishment at the horrific scene in front of them. Those who initially did not believe in the existence of supernatural beings will believe it after witnessing this incident.
Sarah released her grip on Gary's neck, but it was clear that there were various bloody claw wounds around Gary's neck. I thought Sarah discouraged her intention to take revenge, but I immediately dismissed my thoughts when I saw the shards of glass on the floor flying and sliding fast, then embedding all over Gary's body. A second later, Gary fell and stopped moving, his eyes bulging and his body bleeding profusely.
After the terrible incident happened, I told all the crimes of Gary and his followers to the police. I told them that Sarah's body was buried on the toilet floor, and I took them to the secret room where Gary and the devil worshipers were worshiping. Not forgetting, I told about Thomas and Jerry's participation in all the crimes Gary committed. I told him in as much detail as I could about the devil-worshipping cult I saw in Sarah's world of memories, how cruelly they sacrificed babies as offerings.
The police believed all my stories, of course, because I could show them the real evidence. The toilet where Sarah was buried was dismantled immediately. Sarah's ghostly figure changed to not be as scary as before but changed to a beautiful figure before she died. She smiled at me after seeing that the suitcase where her body was had been found by the police. For me, her smile is a form of thanks. When I saw Sarah disappear, I smiled with relief. I know now she can return to her realm.
The police promised that they would thoroughly investigate the murder of Sarah and the group of devil worshipers. They would explore all the followers of that sect and punish them as severely as possible.
The police will reveal all the mysteries about the sect through the testimony of Thomas and Jerry, who were arrested at their residence. They intended to run away after seeing the arrival of Angie and Leo. It seemed they realized their crimes would soon be exposed, but luckily, the police caught them before they managed to escape.
As for Sinta, the receptionist of this inn, she admits that she does not know anything about the crimes Gary and his followers committed. But Sean couldn't forgive her after hearing her confession about the room permanently being vacated, but she still offered it to us. Even though Sinta said she only felt sorry for us because she provided the space, Sean still refused to accept that reason and asked the police to arrest her because her actions had put us in danger.
This is another reason that Sarah could not avenge herself all this time. I finally found out. The room had been emptied all this time, and a seal had been placed so Sarah couldn't escape. Those who installed the seal were Thomas and Jerry, who did have supernatural abilities. They find Sarah a haunting ghost and try to prevent her from taking revenge. But one thing that surprised me was that Thomas took me and Sean to the room we rented after Sinta gave us the key. Why did he still take us to that room even though he knew it was haunted? I don't know, I don't know. I didn't mean to ask either. The only logical reasoning was that he didn't care, even if Sarah's ghost would hurt us. But the irony is that it exposed their crimes. If we had not been offered to stay in that room, their crimes might never have been uncovered.
The most important thing for me now is that we solve this problem safely. We rushed to leave the inn to go to the hospital because of my condition. Angie and Sean needed treatment right now.
