Sarah Part 3
Luckily, I followed my steps because I saw several people there when I approached the reception desk, even though it was midnight. There were three of them, two men, and one was a receptionist at this inn. They immediately approached me when they saw me staggering toward them.
I told them about Leslie's situation and asked them to help me deal with Leslie. I felt relieved when I saw the enthusiastic looks on their faces to help me. We went to my room without wasting time, where Leslie behaved strangely.
Upon arriving at the room, my eyes widened when I saw Leslie's current condition. She was standing in the room but not generally like a human, but she was standing by making the room's ceiling a pedestal. Yes, she was standing on the roof, so her head was now below as if she could defy gravity. She was grinning at us with those terrible eyes.
"Hihihi."
Her sinister laugh echoed again in the room. The feeling of anxiety and fear I am currently feeling even makes the pain and soreness on my face due to Leslie's actions not felt.
"She's possessed," said one of the men beside me. I had noticed earlier and realized that all the weird things happening to Leslie were because she was possessed. But I tried to shake off that thought. I never thought Leslie, who can communicate with ghosts, could experience this. More precisely, this was the first time a ghost possessed Leslie after the many ghosts she had met.
Leslie jumped up and down nimbly on the ceiling, continuously letting out her scary laugh. Then she strolled down the wall. She didn't look troubled, as if walking on a flat floor. Now, she is back doing acrobatics before our eyes. She walks in an upside-down position, and she uses both hands to walk while her legs are stretched upwards. I really can't stand to see it anymore.
"Please stop her," I begged the three people with me now.
"We have to catch her," said one of the men, who I believe is the guard at this inn who had escorted me and Leslie to this room.
The two men tried to approach Leslie, who was still acrobatic, but before they could catch Leslie, suddenly, a strong wind blew and blew the bodies of the two men so that they were thrown quite far from their initial position.
I was amazed that the ghost that possessed Leslie's body had quite a lot of power. Leslie was crouching at the moment and glaring hatefully at us. After that, she jumped up and down like an excited child while laughing continuously. She ran towards the bedroom door without being able to stop me. Even though I was standing near the door, my body was shaking when she ran up to me and bolted out of the room.
"Unlucky! We have to go after her!!" The innkeeper shouted and ran after Leslie. Of course, I followed him.
Once outside the inn, we split up to find Leslie. I looked towards the right side of this inn. It's hushed here without any other buildings, only empty land and a few trees filling it. It's also very dark here, and I was stupid for not bringing anything to provide some light here. I looked up at the sky. Somewhere, the moon and stars Leslie and I had seen shone up in the sky. The sky looked black, adding to the eerie atmosphere I was feeling. But I couldn't back down just because of this problem. After all I could think about right now was finding Leslie. I don't know what the ghost possessing her will do to Leslie's body. I only have one hope: the ghost will not hurt Leslie and return Leslie to me soon.
I broke deeper into this darkness. Luckily, my eyes got used to seeing in the dark until I realized someone was sitting on the ground with her legs stretched out. I couldn't see her figure clearly, so I walked over to her. From this close distance, I could recognize her, even though she was looking down and her long hair was blocking her face, but there was no way I could recognize her wrongly. This person was none other than a woman who meant so much to me. She's a love that I love with all my heart.
I crouch beside her and stretch my right hand to touch her shoulder.
"L-Leslie," I called but was ignored by her. I shook her body, hoping she would answer my call, but in vain. She did not budge. A moment later, I gasped when suddenly her body went limp, and she almost fell if I was too late to catch her body. I hugged her body tightly. A cold feeling ran through my body when my skin came into contact with her cold skin. I realized Leslie wasn't fully back yet, especially when I saw the dark circles still encircling her eyelids. The ghost was still inside her, but I was relieved it had stopped struggling.
I did not waste this opportunity. I carried Leslie while her eyes were still closed. Even though Leslie's body felt so heavy in my arms, I forced myself to run. Run as hard as I can.
Finally, I arrived at the inn.
"You found it?" asked the receptionist, who seemed anxiously waiting by the door.
"I'll take her to the room," I replied while still carrying Leslie because my body was no longer strong enough to support Leslie's body. I felt like I was about to collapse, but there was no way I could drop Leslie's body.
"I will call Mr. Thomas and Mr. Jerry," said the receptionist, which I ignored. The most important thing for me now is to lay down Leslie's heavy body as quickly as possible.
Arriving at the room, I laid her on my bed, which was closer to the door than Leslie's bed, which was closer to the window. Leslie's eyes were still closed. Her breathing was still regular.
It didn't take long for the receptionist and the two men to enter the room.
The two men approached Leslie, and they did something that made anger envelope me this very second.
"Hey, what are you guys doing?!" I shouted. I meant to stop them, but the receptionist beside me prevented me from doing so.
"Leave this matter to Mr. Thomas and Mr. Jerry," she said. But I still couldn't contain my anger. It's natural for me to be angry. All the men in this world will be angry when they see their girlfriends tied up by those two men. Leslie's hands and feet were each tied to the end of the bed.
"What are they going to do to my girlfriend?" I asked with all my might to keep from screaming because I couldn't accept their treatment of Leslie.
"They're going to get the ghost out of your girlfriend's body." I can only be silent at this time. Trying to accept whatever they will do to Leslie. But from the bottom of my heart, I vowed to stop them if they hurt Leslie.
