Sean Part 4
When we arrived at the hospital, I immediately handed the seven leaves to Angie. She pounded the leaves finely and mixed them with water. While waiting for Angie to finish her work, I looked at Sean, still lying stiff on his bed. IV line and heart rate monitor are attached to his body now. His face looked even paler, and when I held his hand, I felt his skin colder than before.
"We have to drink this potion to him," said Angie, who, without me realizing it, was already standing beside me.
"Can Sean drink it?" It was Mr. Leo who expressed his doubts. I also doubt Sean could swallow it in his condition.
"Of course, there's no way he could swallow it. That's why I've prepared this," said Angie, showing a syringe in her hand. She injected the liquid leaf of the bidara with the injection into Sean's body.
"We have to wash the rest of the potion into his body," explained Angie again after injecting the liquid from the leaves into Sean's body.
"Just let me do it. Could you leave it to me? You guys wait outside." Of course, only Mr. Leo could do this because Angie and I can't.
"Make sure you apply the potion all over his body," said Angie just before we left Sean's treatment room.
We waited while sitting on the waiting chairs in front of Sean's treatment room. I can't stop praying that our efforts will be successful this time. I want Sean to open his eyes and return to normal immediately.
There was no conversation between me and Angie. Each of us was busy with our thoughts.
Twenty-five minutes passed, and finally, Mr. Leo came out and told us that he had finished his work. We rushed back into Sean's treatment room.
I sat on a chair beside Sean's bed. I haven't seen any changes in Sean's body. His eyes were still closed.
"Be patient, Leslie. We have to wait for the potion to take effect." Angie tried calming me down while hugging me and gently stroking my head.
"Yes, thank you," I answered softly.
"You rest, Leslie. You must be tired." I shook my head in response to Angie's words.
"I'll stay here with him," I finally answered.
"At least eat something. Your stomach must be starving. I and Leo will bring some food for you, okay." I ignored Angie's words. My gaze still focused on Sean's face, which still looked pale.
I heard the footsteps of Angie and Mr. Leo leaving the room. I could no longer hold back my tears when I was alone with Sean. I remember the past, so many obstacles and obstacles that occurred to us both, as if the journey of our love is so difficult. But this ordeal was the toughest of the many trials that confronted us. However, this ordeal made me increasingly realize how much Sean means to me.
"Hurry up and open your eyes. I've cried enough because of you," I muttered as I stroked his pale face gently.
"Don't break your promise, you promised you'd never leave me," I muttered again with my fingers still gently stroking his face.
"You know Sean, you're mean to me. You always make me sad. Stop making me cry. Is it hard for you to make me smile? Open your eyes and make me smile," I said again, without Sean responding.
There was the sound of the door being opened, and the figures of Angie and Mr. Leo were seen entering the room.
"Leslie, let's eat!" Angie held out a plate full of mush that was still steaming.
"You're still sick so I think this food suits you best."
"I'm not hungry," I finally answered.
"Don't do that, you'll get sick. Don't let Sean open his eyes. You'll be the one who replaces him lying in bed because he's sick. Let's eat quickly, or do I need to feed it?" Finally, I received a plate of porridge. I devoured it lazily, but I still forced myself to eat it. Slowly but surely, I finally managed to finish the porridge.
"Now go to sleep, Leslie. You didn't sleep all night," Angie said again.
"I'm not sleepy."
"Your eyes are not sleepy but your body is very tired. Don't fight anymore, hurry up and sleep!" Angie's voice sounded raised as if she was getting annoyed with my stubbornness.
"I'm going to ask the hospital to set up one more bed in this room so you can stay close to Sean." Mr. Leo walked away after saying that.
As he said, the hospital set up a bed for me next to Sean's shortly after that. This time, I can not fight anymore. I lay my body on the bed. Maybe it's true that my body has reached its limit because, without realizing it, I fell asleep.
I don't know how long I've been asleep. I woke up when the sun hit my face, dazzling my eyes.
I cringed when I remembered Sean. I rushed to stare at Sean's bed. I was greatly disappointed when I saw his condition was still the same. There hasn't been any change in him.
"Are you awake?" I was startled when I suddenly heard Angie's voice.
"How long have I been asleep?"
"One-day last night, more precisely 24 hours, you slept very soundly." I was shocked to hear that. I didn't expect to have slept that long, and as long as I slept, nothing happened to Sean.
"Sean, why is he still not awake?"
"Black magic is too strong. Even with the potion of bidara leaves, we still can't get the magic effect out of his body." For the umpteenth time, I get disappointment. After my hard struggle in the forbidden forest, the result is still disappointing like this.
"Oh yes. Sean's sister called earlier. She said she was going to this place with her mother." Good news, actually, but for me, this is terrible news. The arrival of Aunt Silva certainly made me no longer able to be near Sean because she would forbid me.
"Isn't there another way to save Sean? I don't care what way I have to go, I will still do it," I asked softly.
"I don't know what to do anymore, but I suspect someone sent this black magic on Sean. Let's meet that person," said Angie, who immediately turned all my attention to her.
