Lucas Part 2
"That's enough, Leyna. Don't hurt Leslie again. Was it not enough what you did to accuse Leslie of being a thief and a liar? You haven't even apologized to Leslie for slandering her. And now you want to take Sean away from her? What kind of woman are you? You're so mean."
"Shut that mouth, Muggie. Why do you always defend her? You know me before her. Have you ever thought about the pain I feel every time I see her making out with Sean? You will never understand the pain so stop blaming me. After all, Sean never refused me to approach him, it was because of your fault, Leslie. It was your actions that made you lose Sean, he's fed up with you." Leyna's words made me realize something. Could Leyna know why Sean changed to me? Could Sean have told Leyna everything he didn't tell me?
"Why is he sick of me? What's wrong with me?" Finally, this question came out of my mouth. Leyna gave me a sinister look with a smile that was difficult to decipher.
"You can ask Sean yourself about this problem. What is certain is that you lost it because of your fault so stop blaming me." After that, the atmosphere returned to silence, and neither of us said a word.
I was silent, thinking about Leyna's words. The mistake that made me lose Sean, what have I done? Could it be because I meddled in his family matters? But he should have known I was only doing that to help appease his father's spirit. Thinking about this problem makes my head feel like exploding.
"Oh yes. Muggie, if you want to come on vacation with us, you can come too," said Leyna, which brought Muggie's and my attention back to her.
"Is it okay?" asked Muggies.
"Of course. After all, Sean and I weren't the only ones going. Other people are coming too." Her words made me feel a little relieved. At least they weren't just going alone.
"I was curious to see your new mansion. But let Leslie come too, okay?" said Muggie lightly, who made both my eyes and Leyna's balls comprehensive.
"You're crazy. Why should I ask her?" The words I can already guess will come from Leyna's mouth. Besides, I also have no intention of joining them.
"You said we were friends, right, Leyna? I'm not coming if you don't let Leslie come, too." Muggie made a sulky face. I need help understanding Muggie's train of thought. Wouldn't if I went with them, it would just make me hurt even more? She should have known that.
"You are my best friend, but so that you know, I never thought of Leslie as my best friend. Not even friends, not even friends." I smiled faintly at her predictable words, even though she didn't say them once. But unlike me, before I saw her closeness to Sean, I thought I wanted to be friends with her. I've even considered Leyna, my friend, but she's still my classmate and roommate.
"Why don't you want to take Leslie? Are you jealous seeing Leslie with Sean?"
"How many times do I have to tell Sean that he's sick of her?"
"Then let Leslie come along, prove your words," said Muggie with a smile. Who knows what Muggie's up to? But those words left Leyna speechless. She returned to packing her things in silence. Then, she walked towards the door once she finished her activity.
"Okay, I'll let Leslie come along. We will leave tomorrow afternoon using my car. Muggie, you know my house, right? You can come to my house tomorrow afternoon," she said, then walked away.
I immediately approached Muggie and glared at her.
"Muggie, why are you doing this? You know I'll only get hurt if I go there, right?" Muggie gave me a severe look, then held my shoulders with both hands.
"Listen, Leslie, I never approved of Sean dating Leyna. It would help if you defended what is yours. You have to fight to keep Sean. You still love him, right?" There wasn't the slightest bit of joking in her voice, indicating Muggie's seriousness.
"But I don't want to go there. Besides, maybe what Leyna said is true, Sean doesn't want to be with me anymore," I answered softly.
"Just answer: Do you still love him or not?" Her question made me cringe and, at the same time, made me only able to answer it with a nod. Even though it sucks, I can't deny it. I still love him.
"Did he tell you himself that he no longer wants to be with you and wants to break up with you?" A question that, for the umpteenth time, made me cringe. This time, I could only answer with a shake of the head. Sean has never said goodbye, even though, just by looking at his attitude, he doesn't want to maintain this relationship anymore.
"Then don't give up, at least ask him directly what he wants from you."
"He's changed, Muggie. Not the Sean I used to know anymore."
"Therefore, ask him, he must have his reasons, right? Ask him the reason. If you come with us, you have many opportunities to talk to him. Don't waste this opportunity. Don't waste the chance I gave you." Now that I know why Muggie did this, she did this for me. I shouldn't disappoint Muggie, should I?
"Don't let Sean fall into Leyna's arms. I don't want to see him," Muggie said again, which astonished me.
"Why? Aren't you and Leyna friends?"
"Still, Sean doesn't deserve to be partnered with Leyna. Only you are compatible with him. You are the perfect couple in my eyes." I can only exhale lazily and roll my eyes, tired of hearing her answer. What kind of reason is that? Leyna is even more compatible with Sean than me. Leyna was prettier than me. At least that's what I thought.
"So, how was it, Leslie? Are you coming or not?" I was still stunned until finally, I don't know what strength made me nod my head. I'm also not willing to let Sean be Leyna's. It's true what Muggie said: I have to fight for it. I will stop hoping when the word breaks out of Sean's mouth. Yes, I have decided not to give up so easily.
