17- Honeymoon and Business
I was in my office, working until my phone rang and Ruben called. He is calling for the first time after my marriage. He didn't text me even but I don't complain either, I didn't invite him in the first place.
Sighing, I picked the call with a frown, pinching the bridge of my nose, 'Hello?"
'Congratulations, Mate. Felt great to hear on the news that my own damn Brother is married." He mocked with a fake laughter to hit my nerves.
'Ruben." I called his name in a deep breath.
'Oh, do you still remember my name? I thought you forgot amid this maliciousness of yours." He snickered, reminding me of my own self by constant mocks.
'Did you call to taunt me, mate?" I asked seriously, certainly not in a mood to have an argument with him.
'No. Just to congratulate you. Happy two month anniversary." He said, nonchalantly but it didn't feel right. There must be something else.
'By the way, I am coming to see my sister-in-law. I want to see your choice. Is it just as I am suspecting or not?" There it is. I bet my parents must have called him to come and help Eileen. As if I will let him.
'You are very welcome as long as you don't bring Asad along." I added, not wanting the person who is capable of stealing my prey to come.
He is the last person I want to see.
'What's with your resentment for my friend?" He asked, displeased at my hostility for his damn friend.
'I don't want Zaviyaar's brother here." I enunciated. I don't want his shadow near Eileen.
'Okay, I don't intend to either. He is not interested yet." He hummed but I cannot neglect the emphasis he made on 'yet'.
'He better not be. Warn your friend, Ruben. If Asad dared to come near my Eileen, I wouldn't tolerate it. She is my prey." I threatened seriously.
He better maintains his distance from my domain unless he wants to imbalance the peaceful bond I have with his family. But, amid my unintentional words, I spoke what pinched Ruben.
'Prey… This is what I expected from you, Sebastian. You fucking sadist." He growled, amusement fading instantly. I could hear the detest in this tone but pretending I didn't hear it, I sighed.
'We are going on our honeymoon. I will be busy for these two months." Changing the topic, I don't want him to repeat the same thing again.
'Oh wow, doing something normal finally." He scoffed, mood smeared at my comment.
'Hmm."
'Fine then. I will pay you a visit soon." He trailed off.
Humming, I was about to bless him but he cut the call like he always does, 'Take care-"
Sighing, I lowered my head, curling my lips upward in an unforeseen smile. Shaking my head as I continued to work for the rest of the day.
Soon our time to leave for the honeymoon came, 'Let's go."
I can clearly see Eileen trembling in my presence. From those nervous glance to those dried lips, she thrills me with her visage. I want to draw out more but I have already exhausted the extreme.
What more am I supposed to gain from this broken soul anymore?
'Have you ever been in a private jet?" I asked, using my phone when we were going, glancing from the corner of my eyes as she shook her head in denial.
'Well you are going to." I hummed. She didn't respond, staring out of the window.
That is not how she imagined her honeymoon. That is not how she would sit next to her husband but an unfortunate soul is trapped.
'You want to take a picture at the Eiffel Tower, right?" I asked, putting my phone down to provide her my attention which I knew would enhance her fright.
'Not anymore…" She whispered, hugging herself, unable to meet my eyes. She is heartbroken. This trip is only breaking her heart.
'Do you want to see Miroir d'eau?" I asked again, giving her all my attention to have a normal conversation but from what I have done, expecting something normal is too much.
'What is that?" She asked, looking back at me in confusion.
'The Miroir d'eau is the world's largest reflecting pool in Bordeaux." I told her about that place. It's a beautiful place.
'No…" She shook her head again.
'Consider this trip a reprieve. You don't have to be scared there. I will spare you for these two months." I sighed, giving her time to relax before I strike again.
Constant actions made you used to them and I don't want her to get used to my nature. What would be the fun in this?
'Don't. I don't need your mercy nor false hopes." She said almost immediately, expressions twisting into woe.
'It would only hurt me to feel your fake affection… again" She shook her head, denying to feel any warmth from me anymore.
But, I don't know why I feel obliged to fulfill all the things she told me before our marriage. It's not that I forget; I am simply prioritizing my darkness.
'I see." Exhaling, I leaned back, closing my eyes as we went to Paris in my private jet.
We reached there, she was contemplating the place with admiration, looking out with her mouth gaped. My lips were parted, glancing at her from the corner of my eyes.
It's a part of my nature. Whenever I see happiness, I want to crush it. My body sparked to steal the slight shine in her eyes but I controlled myself. I can't control it, I want to smear it.
Not yet.
Closing my eyes, I inhaled, looking out of the window as soon as we reached my place which took her by astonishment, gasping at the place we are going to live.
'Is this a… castle?" She asked, scanning my castle.
'Yes. It's my playground. My favorite toy lives here." I replied, standing behind her with my hands in my pocket, smirking.
'Favorite.. Toy? Isn't it.. Me?" She asked vaguely, turning to collide her head against mine.
My smirk grew wider, holding her chin, I corrected her perception in a low tone, 'You are a precious toy. He is my favorite."
'Who?" She asked innocently.
'Alphonse Jude. You probably know him by the name of Red Beast." I said, bringing a horror on her face, shivering by the mention of his name.
'He is… your toy?" She asked, tone barely composed to think another Ace is also my toy but that's the poor Alphonse's destiny.
'Yeah, sold his soul to me long ago." I nodded, pulling away, taking her hand, leading her inside.
Her mind went blank, trying to fathom what immense power I possess to bring one to this level but at what cost?
A soul for eternal suffering?
Espying her appall, I sigh, leading her inside, 'You can go and take some rest," I ordered a maid to take her to our room. After she left, the amusement on my face faded.
Honeymoon was only a ruse, I have extremely important work here and since I don't trust this woman, I had to take her along.
Fulfilling my preferences, I had prepared a hall with a throne for me and I love when I take decisions of one's life there. Smirking, I did some work and went to my room to change my clothes.
Taking a bath, I wore a black shirt and rolled the sleeves to the elbow neatly along with a gray waistcoat. Leaving my hairs went, I ruffled my hairs, making them slightly messy, pushing them back.
Setting my collar to fix my form, I was about to leave but stopped. Turning, I saw Eileen sleeping while hugging the pillow, taking deep breaths. Tired from traveling.
Coming closer, I observed her weak body intently, curling my lips from one side wickedly, 'You are so exquisite, you know?" I whispered but she couldn't hear me.
Bringing my hand closer, I caressed her lips slowly but her plump lips were the same, it had no effect, 'Still can't taint your lips, hmm?"
Letting out a half-suppressed chuckle, I shook my head, pulling my hand away and walking out.
