79.2- Ultimate Protection
Narrowing my eyes, I considered surrendering as my safest option and put my hand slowly in the air, leaving my gun slowly, scanning the place but there was no route to escape.
And I could tell, if I ran away, they would hurt my family.
I was stuck badly…-
"You cannot hurt me, Dave." Curling my lips from the corner in a dark smirk, I surrendered.
It is time.
"Shut and get on your knees. Both of you." He ordered, coming closer, all guns pointed at us.
'Dave-" Jacob was about to make him listen but I motioned him to obey for now or else something terrible would happen.
A little longer…
'You will regret this, Dave." Jacob snarled as we both on our knees, forced to a fatuous defeat.
They kicked our guns away, we were utterly vulnerable in the situation.
'Why do you think that? This place is surrounded by my men. We won't let you leave." He smirked, ignoring the words, he considered them frivolous.
Lowering my head, my smirk grew wider, darker, releasing a low husky chuckle which bewildered all of them.
"I knew I was getting weaker, I was falling out of the circle of a monster. I suspected deception, I anticipated one of the closest would target me."
"So what? You are not getting out of here alive now."
"I will. Because I have made a deal with a devil. I have ultimate protection over my head." I smirked.
Staring dead into his eyes, reflecting my sinister aura which frightened them for a second to find the monster I suppressed flashing in my eyes again.
"What ultimate protection-"
Now!
Before he could ask further, a simultaneous shot came and shot them all on their legs, causing them to fall down, clearing the path for us followed by the voice of the one with the most sinful mind.
The deep, husky, voice of the number one leader of the underworld. The devil I made my deal with.
"I have detected a Plague."
"What..?" Throbbing in pain, Dave looked up and saw The Plague Doctor entering with his men following behind him that shot their hands to render them unable to fight back.
Nathaniel was right when he told me at the execution.
‘My breaths don't matter. Whether I live or not, my reign will never die.'
He is the son of my ideal after all…
After eliminating his people smoothly in one go silently, he entered with his people to assertive his power and dominance. He came prepared, all black with his waistcoat, the owl's mask.
He arrived as the Plague Doctor.
"My, after all the drama, I was finally relieved of this cursed position but you won't let me relieve from my duties, would you, Sebastian?"
Sighing, Nathaniel scanned the whole place to count how many people he left alive.
He came before me and never in my life I imagined Nathaniel would offer me his hand to get up from the ground.
I have my pride as the Black Death.
"Took you long enough to come… Nathaniel. I could have died, asshole." I scoffed, I slapped his hand away and rose myself from the ground and grabbed my gun.
I know how to pull myself up from the ground.
'My, don't speak my name when I am on duty." He chuckled darkly, raising his hand in the air to order his men to stand far away.
"H-How did you come i-inside?" Dave managed to ask, holding his bleeding leg.
Glancing over his shoulder, Nathaniel turned to him, shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly.
"Oh, you mean by those thirty measly men you left outside? Took a heartbeat to give them eternal sleep."
"Hire stronger men, Sebastian. Maybe that was why you couldn't overcome me." He turned back to me, mocking me but I knew I didn't raise such men either.
"Those were not my people." I muttered,
"That explains why they were pathetic." De Villiers came as well, resting his sniper on his shoulder. The most accurate sharp shooter.
De Villiers. Nathaniel's best and strongest man, his childhood best friend, his partner, his right hand.
'Are we done now, Boss? What should we do? This is my first time in London. Can I go shopping?"
Another seductive voice came, she was a woman I once desired, still as graceful as I first saw her.
Amanda Greene. She was specialized in torture. Another strongest.
I didn't want to accept but in terms of legion, he is superior.
'Not yet, Amanda. We still have work." He sighed.
'I don't think I am required here. The master of torture himself in before me, how can I be needed where the king is unless he needs-" She asked temptingly, checking me out from top to bottom.
It made me uncomfortable.
'Shut up. He has a wife. Take the men, dispose of the bodies and leave us alone. Then do whatever you want." Nathaniel ordered her coldly, his tone with her was harsh.
'Great. See you guys later." But not caring, she beamed and left us alone.
'Now.."
Clearing his throat, he turned to me, taking off his mask, revealing his green eyes and dark brown hairs, similar to his Mother's, pushing his hair behind, revealing his face.
His features dropped into pure direness, bringing a seriousness in the air as he asked dominantly.
"Sebastian. What do you want?"
My expressionless eyes followed the bloody room, scanning the area as a scowl slowly crept on my face when my eyes fell upon Dave.
My brother… My Ruben.
He stole all of it. He betrayed me. I would give him the worst outcome possible.
"I want to capture Dave only. I will personally deal with him myself." I placed my demand.
He smirked coldly, raising his two fingers in the air as some sort of signal, "De Villiers, You heard the man. Kill the rest of them."
"Yes, Boss." He nodded, I was about to do it but Nathaniel whistled to gain my attention. This notorious sound, I hated it.
"Deal with him later. You guys come with me for now." He called, motioning me to come after him, allowing his man to clean the place as I remember when I made my deal with him.
***
Back at the gathering of all aces where Nathaniel execution happened, I went to France before coming back to London. This was what I wanted to do.
I requested his protection. I gave him what he wanted.
I gave him a piece of my treasured possession in return for a long life.
‘And in fact, if it was for the sake of living a long life with Eileen, I would trade my soul for it. What was a cherished chattel before it?'
'What do you want in return?" Nathaniel asked, not believing him I was relieving Alphonse from his duties.
'The ultimate protection of the Plague Doctor. If I ever ended up in a dire situation or wanted to leave this life. You must protect me and Eileen how you protect Prince." I demanded seriously.
'I protect Prince because he is my sister's husband. Why would I protect ‘you'?" He smirked, suspicious of my offer but I smirked back, holding my hand out.
'Because I am giving you this land in return. It's a fair deal."
He pondered about it for a few seconds before turning a suppressed laugh, agreeing with my terms.
'Deal. From this moment onwards, you are under my ultimate protection, Sebastian."
And that was how I gained ultimate protection by making a deal with a devil so I could live longer with my beloved.
