127. Emergency Meeting!
After learning about Clarice's coming home alive that day, Aurelia decides to hold an emergency meeting with her partners in crime at Kaspar's place to decide what would be their next step to take considering their victim is still alive.
Aurelia arrived at Kaspar's place ten minutes earlier while Viviana arrived fifteen minutes later.
They settled on a sofa on the second floor of Kaspar's house.
Viviana glared at Kaspar. "I paid you $5 million to kill Clarice, but why did she return home today, alive and well?" she asked indignantly.
"You failed to kill her for real the second time around! How can you be so careless?" Aurelia scolded him, her eyes blazing with anger and disappointment. "I paid you $5 million to end her life completely with no chance of coming back alive. Why didn't you make sure she would die in the ocean? Why?"
Kaspar sighed heavily. "Girls, please don't be quick to blame me. I did my best to eliminate Clarice. I threw her into the ocean. I'm sure she will never survive. The cruise ship was sailing at that time, and we were in the middle of the blue sea, no land in sight. Even if she knows how to swim she won't be able to swim far and survive shark attacks," he said, defending himself.
"Did Clarice see your face before you threw her into the sea?" Viviana asked anxiously.
Kaspar nodded his head. "Yeah, she knows me. I had a feeling she would come after us for revenge this time."
The color drained from Viviana and Aurelia's faces.
"Her husband, Alpha Callum, would kill us!" Aurelia shuddered in fear.
"Yeah, that's for sure, and I'm also in danger," Viviana said, terrified.
"She doesn't know yet that you are involved with Kaspar and me. You still have time to escape. Go now, far away before Clarice knows that the three of us planned her death on the cruise ship," Aurelia stated.
"No, it can't be! Just when I thought I was close to getting back my ex-husband, Clarice suddenly resurfaced! Why is this happening? Why?" Viviana cried in distress, panicking.
Kaspar sighed. "I think Clarice was protected by the moon goddess. I failed to kill her the first time, and then the second time I also failed to end her life. Now I'm running out of time to kill her. There will be no third time. This time it will be us who will be hunted. She will come to us for revenge," he said dejectedly. He has a foreboding feeling that death is coming.
Viviana was enraged. "It's your fault! I paid you a huge amount of money, but you failed to do the job. So what are you going to do now? Just let things be? Aren't you going to do anything to finish the job?" she asked, glaring hard at him.
Kaspar lowers his gaze.
"Give me back my money because you failed to do the job I paid you for!" Viviana demanded furiously.
Kaspar shook his head sorrowfully. "The money is gone. I lost everything to online gambling. This place is the only one I have at the moment."
Aurelia sighed and looked at Viviana. "Let's stop blaming him. Instead of blaming each other, we should start thinking of better ways to kill Clarice for the third time. We shall make sure she does not survive this time," she said, her eyes shimmering with murderous intent.
"Scoundrel" Viviana sneered at Kaspar. "I'm too dumb to trust you both! I regret meeting you guys! Useless people!" she added indignantly, her nostrils flaring.
Aurelia was annoyed but controlled her temper. This is not a time to lose control and retaliate. They have a crisis at hand. They must think of a quick solution to solve their problem. "Please calm down, Viviana. This is not the time to start throwing insults at each other. We should come up with a solution to finish Clarice for good," she said calmly.
"No! I no longer want to get involved in this group. You guys are doing a lousy job killing Clarice. I will find another person to do the job, and I will make sure she is dead this time! I'm out!" Viviana said furiously, walking towards the door. She glared at her cohort one last time before exiting the room. "Our communication ends at this very minute. Don't contact me again!" She warned them.
"Good luck!" Kaspar said, annoyed.
Viviana exited the room, slamming the door in full force.
Aurelia shakes her head, looking disturbed and bothered. "I'm worried that Alpha Callum and Clarice would suddenly arrive at my husband's house and demand that I be executed for being the mastermind of Clarice's downfall. My husband will discover my dark secrets! I can't allow such things to happen!" she said in a horrified tone. "What shall we do now?" she asked, panicking, looking at her partner in crime for a solution.
"If Clarice came here alone, I could easily kill her because she is nothing but a weak woman. But if she comes with her husband and his men, I can't guarantee victory anymore. So I suggest you escape now. Save yourself," Kaspar told her.
"How about you? Aren't you going to escape as well?" Aurelia asked, standing up, ready to leave.
"I'm not going anywhere. I will stay here at this place I call home. I will wait here for Clarice to face her wrath," Kaspar replied calmly.
"Why don't you come with me? Let's escape together and go to a far away place," Aurelia suggested.
Kaspar shook his head. "No. You go alone. I will stay here. If I die, then so be it. After losing my money to online gambling, I have no more strength left to keep on living. I'm a goner. I will face my death bravely when it finally comes knocking at my door," he said, his face enveloped in deep sadness and defeat.
Aurelia shakes her head. "I hate to see you like this, already giving up in life."
"I'm not giving up yet because I still have my house, my business is still thriving, despite losing a lot of money to my online gambling addiction. I can survive another day. But if Clarice and her husband come with a vengeance, I may not survive. So escape now while you still have a chance. Go!" he says urgently.
Aurelia stood up and headed to the door. "Goodbye, my friend."
"Goodbye," Kaspar replied softly.
Aurelia was already gone.
Kaspar was now alone on the sofa. His partner in crime had already left him. What to do now?
"Life must go on!" he said, standing up. He went downstairs and re-opened his store, waiting for new customers to seek his expertise in palm reading and fortune-telling.
Meanwhile...
Viviana can be seen driving her car on a busy highway, heading for her beachfront property. She wants to see the ocean to clear the fog in her mind so she can think of a better solution to her current problem.
The sight of the sea always calms her jittery nerves.
After half an hour of traveling, she finally arrived at her beachfront property. She watched the men busy with house construction.
In three months, her new house will be finished. She burned down her old house because she wanted to get back with her ex-husband, but it's a distant dream now that Clarice is back alive, eager to kick her out of the mansion.
She wishes Clarice had died in the ocean.
She dreamed of marrying her ex-husband the second time around.
But it's impossible now!
She's mad that Clarice didn't die after paying Kaspar $5 million!
A waste of money!
So annoying!
GRRR! She wants to destroy something, anything! She's frustrated and annoyed.
She approached the caretaker and asked for the key to her speedboat.
She got into the speedboat and drove to the sea at high speed, slicing the calm water savagely to satisfy the raging anger rising inside her.
After a few minutes of adrenaline-pumping driving, she finally calmed down. She tried to stop the speedboat, but to her surprise, it kept going on, farther away from the beach. "What's going on?" she asked in horror, because she could no longer move her hands. Oh, no! Her whole body was frozen!
"Keep going on and on, Viviana. Don't stop until you die!" a woman's voice whispered in her ears.
"Who are you? Where are you?" Viviana asked in horror after hearing a familiar voice. The voice sounded like that of her rival. "Clarice, is that you? Why can't I see you?"
"Yes, it's me, Clarice, in front of you, bitch! So you paid Kaspar $5 million to kill me? So you can get back with my husband? You're so evil! You are willing to kill an innocent woman to satisfy your greed and jealousy. Thankfully, you didn't succeed. I'm here now to take revenge. You shall die in the ocean today as your punishment!"
"No! Please forgive me. I can't die today! I have a young daughter who needs me! I can't die yet! Please forgive me. Give me a second chance. I will not harm you again! Please spare my life this time," Viviana begged. Tears of regret and despair filled her eyes.
"Sorry, bitch. No second chances for you. Your soul is too dark. I think you will never change even if you are given several chances. You will die today. Don't worry, I will take care of your daughter for you. I will make sure she doesn't follow in your footsteps. I will raise her well along with my son. It's now time for you to die. Rest in peace!" Clarice said, her voice heartless and cold.
