118. Evil Intentions
"We will only stay here for a few hours, trying to find clues. If we can't find anything worth pursuing then we will leave and try another establishment," Demetria finally said.
"I agree with that," Clarice responded with a nod.
After one hour of waiting, the women finally entered the club. The club was crowded, and the women didn't like the chaotic atmosphere inside the club.
"I hate clubs like this. So crowded, so noisy and people are everywhere, suffocating me. The music is too loud. I think my eardrums will explode.'' Clarice groaned in dismay.
"Me too," Demetria agreed. "Let's wander around and find clues," she added.
The women ordered drinks, danced on the dance floor and socialized with others, pretending they enjoyed the crowd and the music, but their eyes were always on the lookout for anything and anyone suspicious.
The evening was getting deeper, nothing had happened, frustrating the girls.
Surprisingly, no one attempted to flirt with the women or tried to invite them to leave the establishment or tamper with their drinks.
Nothing is happening.
The women were disappointed, sipping their drinks in the corner, observing the busy crowd, gyrating on the dance floor to the DJ's techno music.
Demetria and Clarice looked at each other.
"Do we need to stay here until the club closes?" Clarice asks impatiently.
"Let me check the time on my phone," Demetria said, grabbing her phone from the pocket of her pants. "The time is 11:00 p.m., one hour before midnight, and nothing is happening yet," Demetria said, frustrated.
"How about we leave for a moment and breathe fresh air outside?" Clarice suggested.
"Alright, let's go," Demetria agreed.
The women left the noisy nightclub and stood outside the building, near the entrance, breathing fresh air, watching people's faces on the sidewalk.
"I suddenly craved a pizza and smoothie," Clarice said, looking at the pizzeria restaurant a few meters away from the club.
"Alright, let's have pizza then," Demetria agreed.
The women began walking towards the pizzeria. Once inside the establishment, they chose a table in the corner, far from the entrance. Clarice ordered a BBQ Chicken Pizza and an avocado smoothie. Demetria ordered a strawberry smoothie.
A few minutes later, the waiter delivered pizza and smoothies to their table.
The women ate with gusto.
They were discussing the missing women when they noticed two men, wearing expensive black suits, entering the restaurant. The men scanned the area and their eyes landed on Demetria and Clarice for a few seconds. The men proceeded to the counter to order drinks.
The women didn't pay attention to the men and continued with their conversation.
A few minutes later, the two men can be seen approaching the women's table.
"Hello beautiful ladies!" The handsome men gave their greetings cheerfully, flashing their megawatt smiles.
"Sorry to disturb you. Can we join you at your table?" the man with black hair asked.
Clarice looks at Demetria, waiting for her to answer the men.
Demetria smiled. "Sure!" she replied in a friendly tone.
"I'm Oscar and this is Dave, my buddy," Oscar said, introducing himself to the girls.
Demetria smiled. "Nice meeting you guys. This is my cousin Rachel and my name is Andrea," she lied.
The men sat in the chairs and began chatting merrily with the girls. The men brag about a private party on an island near the city where beautiful men and women were having the party of the century at this very moment.
"The mansion is luxurious and huge, and the pools are fantastic. We can enjoy skinny-dips there," Oscar said naughtily.
"There are a lot of cool people there, endless music, unlimited food and drinks all night long. You will enjoy the party for sure!" Dave raved.
"Girls, will you join us at the party?" Oscar asked, giving Demetria a puppy-eyed look.
Demetria grins, looking at Clarice. "Sure. We would love to join the party, guys. We can't wait to see the pool and the island!" she giggled excitedly.
The men looked at each other and high-fived triumphantly.
"Yes, we finally had a date tonight!" the men said in chorus, grinning broadly.
Clarice and Demetria looked at each other and smiled conspiratorially.
"Let's go, girls!" the guys said, winking at each other. Their voices carried a different kind of excitement.
The men walked to the door, followed by the women.
"What do you think of them?" Clarice whispered in her mentor's ears.
"They are cute, but I see some red flags. They are handsome but have no girlfriends? Odd, right? We have no leads so far about the missing women, so let's just ride along and see what we discover on the island later," Demetria answered in a hushed tone.
The men took them to a luxurious black car parked in the pizzeria's parking lot.
"Girls, this is our car. Please get into the passenger seat and make yourself comfortable," Oscar said charmingly.
The women settle into the passenger seat. The men get into the front seat and Oscar drives the car.
"Girls, are you comfortable?" Dave asked, looking at his passengers.
"Yes we are," the girls replied in unison.
Time has passed by.
They have been traveling for fifteen minutes.
"Should I bring out the spray now?" Dave asked.
Oscar shook his head. "Later, we had already arrived at the port and got onto the yacht," he replied.
The women's brows drew together looking at each other, a rising suspicion grew in their heads.
Demetria cleared her throat and asked, "What spray?"
"It's just car freshener spray," Dave answered innocently, showing the girls the can of spray.
A few minutes later, they arrived at the port, got out of the car and were transferred to the waiting luxurious yacht.
The group settled comfortably into the yacht, and started on their journey to the island.
The men kept to themselves while the women enjoyed the view.
Half an hour later, they finally arrived at the island.
"We've finally arrived, girls!" the men announced in chorus.
The two women looked at a 3-story mansion a few meters away and noticed that it was quiet. Although they saw two infinity pools, not a single soul was swimming in them. The warning bells are getting louder in their ears.
"Where are the other party people?" Demetria inquired.
"They are inside the mansion right now. There is another party happening inside," Oscar explained casually.
"Are you sure?" Clarice asked apprehensively. Curiosity flashed in her eyes. "It seems no party is happening in the mansion right now."
Dave groaned. "Come with us inside the mansion so you can see the other visitors there," he replied calmly, but his voice carried a hint of irritation.
The girls were nervous, hesitating to leave the yacht.
Dave looked at his companion. "Shall I bring the spray now?" he asked in a cold tone.
Oscar shook his head. "Don't scare the girls, they came with us this far. They should join the party willingly," he said calmly.
Dave scratches his head. "But they are waiting for us. The party won't start without us!" he argued.
"I said, stop scaring the girls!" Oscar barked at his buddy, nostrils flaring.
The men openly displayed hostility towards each other.
The girls were observing the tension unfolding between the men.
Demetria observes the men. She wanted to know what kind of party these men were having inside the mansion. "Guys, don't start a fight. We're coming with you to the party."
The men finally stopped glaring at each other and smiled triumphantly.
"Finally!" Dave smiled broadly.
They left the yacht and walked to the 3-story luxurious mansion looming ahead.
The moment they stepped into the living room of the mansion, they were greeted with thick silence.
"Where are the party people?" Demetria asked suspiciously, scanning the area.
"They are in the basement waiting for us," Oscar replied.
Dave addressed the women. "Girls, just rest on the sofa for a moment. I will check with the people in the basement," he said, and left.
"Girls, I'll go to the kitchen to fix you some drinks," Oscar said, smiling brightly.
"OK," the girls replied in unison.
When the men were already out of earshot, the women settled down on the sofa and whispered to each other.
"These men have ulterior motives. I think they were lying when they said there was a party going on here," Clarice said in a whisper. "Do you think these men are rapists, serial killers or human traffickers?" she asked.
"We don't know yet. But I saw red flags with the way they talked. Let's continue to observe their actions. I want to know what's going on down there in the basement right now," Demetria replied.
"Me too. I doubt there is a party happening in the basement right now. These men are lying," Clarice declared, looking in the direction of the kitchen.
Oscar returned to the living room, carrying a plastic tray with three glasses of ice tea. He placed the tray on the center table and said, "Girls, have a drink first before we go down to the basement."
The two women stare at the drink with suspicion in their eyes.
Oscar noticed the hesitation on their faces. "What's wrong? Girls, why are you not drinking yet?" he asks. He picked up one of the glasses and drank it bottom up. "I assure you, the drinks are not laced with drugs," he said reassuringly.
The women still refused to pick up their drinks.
Oscar groaned in dismay, his eyes shimmering in annoyance as if his patience was wearing out.
"Everything is ready down there," Dave said, returning to the living room, surprised to see the girls still up. He looked at his buddy. "What's going on? Why are they still wide awake?"
The warning bells in women's ears grow louder every second that passes by.
"They refused to drink the iced tea," Oscar replied, shrugging calmly.
"Alright, let's use the spray then," Dave replied, grinning mischievously, looking at the girls, his eyes shimmering with evil intention.
