128. Revenge Of The Fallen
Viviana fell into the water. Even though she is a good swimmer, she can't swim and save herself because her body is frozen. She can't move her hands and legs. Her body sinks deeper, salt water filling her lungs, drowning her.
Back at the beach, the people saw Viviana still riding the speedboat, enjoying the ride; they didn't know that Viviana's body had already sunk under the water. It was all just an illusion orchestrated by the invisible Clarice, so even if they attempted to save Viviana, she could no longer be saved.
Two hours later...
One of the guards saw that the speedboat had already stopped moving, and the driver was nowhere in sight.
It took them a few minutes to realize that the driver of the speedboat had fallen into the water and probably met with an accident. They rushed to the sea and swam with their might until they found Viviana's lifeless body floating behind the speedboat.
They brought her body to shore and started CPR and rescue breathing.
A few minutes later they gave up because Viviana had no pulse anymore and was not responding to CPR.
"She is dead!" the guard declared.
They still sent Viviana's body to the pack hospital when the ambulance arrived.
One of the guards called Beta Amir and informed him that Viviana was having fun driving the speed boat but met an accident, fell into the water and drowned in the sea.
Alpha Callum and Beta Amir arrived at the pack's hospital. The pack doctor officially announced Viviana's passing.
Shocked, Alpha Callum stared at his ex-wife's face for a long time, sporting a serious expression on his face. He felt shocked and extremely surprised because Viviana's death was so sudden and unexpected. He just had a pleasant conversation with her before they left for the farm house!
"Alpha, what to do next?" Beta Amir asked, waiting for instructions.
"Viviana's body needs to be sent to the pack's funeral home so we can give her a proper burial tomorrow. We will bury her in the pack cemetery," Alpha Callum replied calmly.
They contacted the pack's funeral home to get Viviana's body.
Twenty minutes later, the funeral house vehicle arrived to take Viviana's body in preparation for mourning and burial.
Meanwhile...
Aurelia arrived at her house, packed her bags and left a letter for her husband, who was out of town attending a pack conference.
One hour later, she was driving her car, headed to their family's vacation house near the beach.
After six hours of driving, she finally arrived at her vacation home. It was situated near the beach and a beautiful lagoon. She instructed the caretaker to bring her bags to her bedroom.
A few minutes later, Aurelia settled down on the sun lounger, facing the infinity pool. The house was surrounded by towering trees overlooking the deep blue sea, a hundred meters away from the vacation house.
Aurelia took a deep breath, inhaling fresh air, enjoying the beautiful sunset.
The caretaker brought refreshments: mango iced tea, homemade french fries and a cheeseburger.
"What do you want for dinner, Luna?" asked the caretaker.
"Garlic black pepper chicken and corn soup," Aurelia replied.
"Copy." The caretaker left the pool and proceeded to the kitchen to begin cooking preparations.
Back in the pool area.
Aurelia eats her snack while enjoying the relaxing view of the infinity pool and the pristine beach in the distance.
She will go to the beach tomorrow to swim and relax. She is tired of the long trip. But the sparkling water in the pool is inviting. Ah, she will just take a dip in the pool for a few minutes before going to sleep to refresh her body.
After she finished eating her delicious snack, she went to the bedroom and put on her black swimsuit. Then she returned to the pool and began swimming. The water is warm, she likes it.
The sun quickly faded and night began, bathing the forest in total darkness.
But no worries, the vacation house was flooded with lights.
While swimming, Aurelia was thinking about Clarice, wondering how her former best friend was able to survive the dangerous shark-infested waters and come back alive.
How did she survive? How did she do it?
Did a boat magically appear in the middle of the sea and rescue her? Or was her body washed out onto the seashore and found by a fisherman living on one of the islands?
It would be difficult to kill Clarice this time because she would definitely be seeking revenge and justice.
For a split second she regretted ordering Clarice's killing the second time around. Maybe if she hadn't ordered Kaspar to do it, they would still be living in peace right now.
Dammit!
Starting today, she will live in constant fear.
When will Alpha Callum arrive at her house and arrest her?
Maybe it's best not to return home anymore and just disappear and escape to a far-away place, leaving her husband and everything behind. Sigh, what a shame! She had already achieved great success all these years but wasted it all due to greed and selfishness.
Because of her insatiable desire for money and power, she is about to lose everything she worked so hard to achieve all these years.
She can only blame herself.
Two hours later...
The caretaker came to the pool and placed the delicious chicken dish, rice, and corn soup on the table and then returned a moment later with a pitcher of ice-cold orange lemonade juice. "Luna, dinner is ready," she announced cheerily.
"OK. Thanks." Aurelia left the pool and ate her delicious meal with gusto.
The caretaker returned to the kitchen to eat her meal as well.
After eating a hearty dinner, Aurelia sat on the sun lounger and stared at the darkness of the night.
The caretaker returned, picked up the dirty dishes and arranged them on a tray. "Luna, can I take an early rest because I have a headache? I want to rest early tonight," she said.
Aurelia smiled. "Sure. Go to sleep now. Just lock all the doors before you go to sleep," she reminded her.
"Thank you, Luna." The caretaker left the pool and washed the dishes in the kitchen sink.
After the caretaker finished her chores in the kitchen, she closed all the doors and went to her room to rest for the night.
Back in the pool.
Aurelia continued gazing at the dark sky, waiting for the moon and stars to appear.
She released a deep sigh and fell into deep thoughts, thinking of ways she could escape Clarice's wrath.
Hmm, what about if she leaves the country immediately?
Brilliant idea!
She just renewed her passport three months ago. She can fly anywhere as a tourist.
She grabbed her phone and booked a flight to another country. Her flight tomorrow is at 8:00 in the evening. She still has plenty of time to travel and reach the airport before her departure time.
She stayed in the pool for a few more minutes.
At 9:00 she started yawning. She was about to leave the water when suddenly she could no longer move her legs, feet and arms.
What the hell? She was frozen!
What's going on?
"Hello, my best friend. How are you?" Clarice whispered in her ears.
Stunned, Aurelia's eyes widened in shock. "Clarice, is that you? Where are you? Why can't I see you?" she asked. Looking around, she saw no one. Thankfully, she can still move her head, but the rest of her body is stuck.
"Don't look too far. I'm in front of you right now, best friend. But you can't see me. You can only hear my voice. I became like this because of you. How have you been? Busy planning for my downfall? You ordered Kaspar to kill me twice, and you conspired with Viviana. You truly are partners in crime. Thankfully, the Moon Goddess was kind to me. She saved me twice," Clarice said.
"Why are you here? Are you going to take revenge on me?" Aurelia asked. Her mouth trembled in fear.
"What do you think I should do, best friend?" Clarice asked angrily. "The first time you and Kaspar harmed me, I let it be. I didn't pursue revenge. But when you did it the second time, I swear that if I survived in the ocean, I would come back to kill you and Kaspar. I will kill you today! I had already killed Viviana earlier. She suffered an accident while enjoying riding a speedboat and drowned in the sea. Now you are next on my list!"
Tears fell from Aurelia's eyes. "I'm so sorry, best friend, please forgive me. Please give me a second chance! Please have mercy on me! I don't want to die today!" she begged desperately.
"Are you having fun in the water? This pool will be your resting place. Goodbye, best friend. You will rot in hell! Only after you die can I truly forgive you!" Clarice added vehemently.
The light in the pool area suddenly died and darkness enveloped the pool.
Aurelia couldn't scream because her mouth was sealed by something she couldn't identify. She can't see anything through the darkness. She begins to panic, then she feels her body being pushed down and water is entering her nose, mouth and ears. She can no longer breathe.
She finally accepted the painful truth that she was going to die and no one could save her. Before death finally claimed her, she realized her mistake. She should have rushed to the airport and left the country as fast as she could before Clarice could catch up with her.
But it was already too late!
Darkness completely takes over Aurelia's consciousness, and she falls into the abyss of darkness with no return.
Hours have gone by...
The following day, the caretaker went to the pool to clean the place and when she arrived there, Aurelia's lifeless body was already floating in the water. She screamed in horror, shocked to the core. She immediately returned to the house and called Alpha Bruce, Luna Aurelia's husband, informing him that his wife had drowned in the swimming pool last night.
After their conversation, the visibly shaken caretaker could only stare at Luna Aurelia's lifeless body, completely astounded, wondering what happened last night while she was sleeping soundly in her room.
