58. Fireworks Display
It had been five hours since Viviana left the mansion, but Clarice still couldn't bring herself to open the gift that Viviana left behind.
When Alpha Callum finally arrived early in the evening at 6:00 p.m. at the mansion, Clarice informed him about Viviana.
"Your ex-wife came here and gave me a wedding gift. She bitterly told me that you didn't invite her to our wedding, so she came here to personally hand me over her wedding gift. That's her gift," she said, pointing to the gift on the tabletop.
Alpha Callum's forehead furrowed while looking at the gift. "What's inside the box?" he asked.
Clarice shrugged. "I don't know. I haven't opened it yet," she replied nervously.
"I'll open it for you," Alpha said, and walked to the table. He picked up the box and opened it. He examined the contents. "It's just baby clothes," he said, and picked up the small card with a handwritten message on it.
Clarice scanned the contents of the box for a brief second, then took the card and read the handwritten message aloud.
Congratulations on your wedding day. Please accept my simple wedding gift, dresses for your next baby. I made them myself, a hobby I acquired to jump start healing my broken heart. I wish you two a glorious and happy married life. Unlike me who is swimming alone in misery, abandoned and rejected by someone I love with his baby in my tummy. Congrats once again! Happy wedding!'
"What did she say?" he asked.
Stunned, Clarice bit her lip in agitation and gave him the card. "Read it for yourself." She put the baby clothes back in the box. She had no plans to use the dress for her future children. The gift is full of negativity. It's clear that Viviana's heart has not fully healed yet.
After reading the message, Alpha Callum dropped the card in the box. "Don't be bothered by her message. I'll make sure she won't be able to attend our wedding. Even if she insists on attending, my men will not allow her into the wedding venue. You have nothing to worry about," he assured her.
Clarice breathed deeply. "Despite her silence, her heart was still filled with bitterness. What could she possibly do? Is she planning to ruin our wedding?" she asked anxiously.
"I don't know. I think I will see her personally to warn her to avoid doing anything stupid that could ruin our wedding. Besides, the two bodyguards I assigned to watch over her at the beach resort won't allow her to leave the house on the day of our wedding to make sure she won't cause us any trouble at all," he said reassuringly.
When he saw that she was still affected by Viviana's gift, he enveloped her in a tight hug. "Everything will be alright. Our wedding will continue as planned. I will make sure nothing or no one can destroy our perfect day," he assured her in a gentle tone, planting a kiss on her head.
After remembering the two guards assigned to watch over Viviana, Clarice felt huge relief. They won't let Viviana leave the beach. She can't inflict harm on her on the day of her wedding. Problem solved. "I'm okay now after you mentioned the two guards watching Viviana in the beach house."
"They will alert me if something happens there and Viviana will do something out of the ordinary so we can have time to prepare," he said, looking deeply into her eyes, trying to calm her tense nerves.
"OK. Let's stop talking about this issue. It makes me nervous," she said, and sealed the box along with the baby's clothes and the card to be thrown away into the garbage bin outside the mansion.
"Are you sure you will be alright?" he asked once more.
She nodded her head and smiled. "I'm fine. Go to your office now. I'll take care of some things in our bedroom," she said.
"OK." Alpha Callum left her side and proceeded to his office.
Instead of calling for a servant, Clarice picked up the gift, exited the gate and dumped the box in the garbage bin outside the mansion. "You belong here!" she said and walked away, entering the gate again.
Unknown to her, there was a beggar guy standing nearby. He walked to the trash bin, picked up the box and put it inside his worn out backpack and walked away.
The beggar walked for ten minutes, then sat on the grass, opened his backpack, grabbed his phone and took a picture of the wedding gift. Then he typed a message on his phone, saying he had got the gift and sent the message to his contact.
After sending the message, he resumed walking again and got into his vehicle, which he parked alongside the road fifty meters away from the mansion and drove away.
Meanwhile, in the beach house, Viviana received the message and gripped her cellphone hard. Her knuckles were white with anger. She was furious that the gift she worked so hard to make was thrown carelessly into the garbage can.
Enraged, she almost threw her phone against the wall. Tears rolled down her face.
They must pay for insulting her!
They must pay for belittling her.
They must pay for all the pain and suffering she felt inside.
They must pay!
Time for plan B!
She closed her eyes and mentally reviewed her plans in her mind.
The time has come for revenge!
If they didn't carelessly throw her gift in the garbage, she wouldn't have activated her plan B.
They awakened her wrath when they didn't value the gift she worked so hard to make for them.
Again and again they hurt her feelings, and she had to do something about it.
She caressed her tummy lovingly. She can't wait to give birth to her child. All her pain will disappear once she finally holds her tiny newborn in her arms.
For now, she will swim in the ocean of pain and misery first before she can enjoy happiness.
For now, she will get rid of the insects first. She's been silent for long enough. Time to take control of her destiny, get rid of the people who hurt her and face her bright future with her baby.
She will blow up the wedding venue, killing everyone inside!
It will be the most spectacular event. The explosion would be like a beautiful fireworks display lighting up the sky in broad daylight, and she had already hired someone to capture the image of the explosion up close, a remembrance of her sweet victory.
Fantastic!
Giggling, she smiled broadly. Victory is near!
She can almost smell it!
