72. Cheers!
Back in Alpha Callum's mansion, the guests start arriving, filling the air with their merry laughter as they began talking to each other. On the other hand, the children were having fun on the inflatable bounce slides set up in the corner.
The catering staff were busy handing out lollipops, ice cream in cones and cotton candy to the guests.
The long buffet table was filled with delicious dishes arranged palatably, making guests hungry.
After an hour of socializing with each other, the guests finally settled into their seats. The party is about to start.
The couple gave short speeches, thanking the house staff and employees for their hard work and loyalty to the couple.
After the couple's heartwarming speech, the attendees cheered loudly, genuinely wishing the couple a happy wedding anniversary. Afterward, the couple handed cash gifts to the employees, eliciting loud cheers from everyone.
After the cash gifts, funny and exciting parlor games for adults and children are up next. The prizes ranged from cash gifts to appliances, groceries and many others.
Everyone laughed at the funny parlor games.
Then the best part of the party has finally come, which is eating!
With a wide array of mouth-watering dishes, sweet desserts and refreshing drinks to choose from, guests have many choices. They gathered around the table and filled their plates with delicious food.
Everyone enjoyed the party immensely.
The adults were having fun and the children were squealing in delight, enjoying the inflatable slides and kiddie treats.
Clarice and Alpha Callum gazed into each other's eyes, wearing bright and satisfied smiles on their faces.
"The party was a huge success. Congratulations, guys!" Grandpa Eliezer commented cheerily while eating his favorite creamy macaroni salad.
The couple, Marina and Carlos, were eating slices of chocolate caramel cake while Lorey was assisting Caden with his food.
Watching people happy eating together with their families, Clarice smiled brightly. "Yeah, it feels nice to see everyone having fun with their loved ones. I'm happy with the outcome of this party. It exceeded my expectations," she responded enthusiastically.
"We can do this again and make it an annual family party. Every year we will celebrate occasions like this with our staff and employees," Alpha Callum suggested.
Clarice smiled. "Yes! Let's do it again next year. Same month and same date," she replied animatedly. In her mind, she was already planning new exciting games for next year's event. The theme of the party will be different each year.
A beach party would be amazing! She giggled happily. She can't wait to plan the party for next year.
"What are you smiling at?" Alpha Callum whispered in her ears.
Clarice looked into his eyes. "In my head I'm already planning for next year's party. More fun and grand than this!" she said, her eyes shimmering with excitement.
Alpha Callum hugged his wife lovingly. "You can have all the parties you want as long as you are happy. I will give you everything you want. I love you, wife," he said affectionately, kissing her head tenderly.
Clarice smiled in happiness, luxuriating in the arms of the only man she ever loved in her entire life. "I love you more, husband," she replied sweetly, loving the delicious warmth emanating from his body.
Caden ran to their side and said, "Mommy, Daddy, I'm done eating. Can I play again on the inflatable slide? I love it very much!" he asked energetically, his eyes and chubby face glowing with happiness.
Alpha Callum smiled. "Sure, son. Mommy and Daddy will accompany you on the slides," he said.
"Hooray!" Caden jumped up and down jubilantly.
Clarice and Alpha Callum accompanied their son to the inflatable slides and joined the other parents watching their children climb up and down on the slides tirelessly.
These happy memories will be remembered forever by everyone who attended the party.
Meanwhile...
While the people in Alpha Callum's residence were having fun and enjoying the party, a thousand miles away, despicable people were planning their revenge on Clarice.
Aurelia and Viviana were chatting in their private chat room online, discussing the final details of their revenge against their common enemy, Clarice.
After chatting online with Viviana for two hours, Aurelia proceeded to the balcony, settled on the sofa, poured wine into the glass and began drinking.
She looked heavenward, smiling devilishly. She and Kaspar failed to kill Clarice the first time and now they will try again. This time they must not fail!
A few moments later, Kaspar arrived at the balcony and poured wine into his glass.
Aurelia looked at him. "Are you ready to join the couple on their cruise ship next week?"
Kaspar sighed heavily. "Honestly, I don't want to do it again. Since Clarice is alive I'm sure heaven favors her and wants her to continue living. Killing her the second time around might bring us bad luck..." he said worriedly.
"Nonsense!" Aurelia sneered, annoyed by his cowardice.
Stunned by her outburst, Kaspar looked at her in astonishment, shaking his head. "You simply don't know how to stop, eh?"
Aurelia rolled her eyes. "Alright, I will hire an assistant for you to do the deed if you suddenly get cold feet and can't do it. I just want to get this over with so we can move on with our lives," she said. "Only Clarice's death can make me feel at ease," she added adamantly.
Kaspar sighed heavily. "Don't worry, I'll do it. But this will be the last time I murder someone. You can never order me to kill anyone again, period!" he said with finality in his voice.
Aurelia smiled brightly, pleased that Kaspar was willing to do the dirty work once more. "Don't worry, this will be the last time. Once Clarice is dead I will no longer have nightmares in my sleep," she paused for a minute.
Then she continued, "Don't you know that I have had repetitive nightmares every night since I discovered Clarice's existence? I only told you this today. I'm afraid that if we can't kill her this time, I'm going crazy. So we have to finish her for good so we can finally erase our dark past. We will finally have a clean start after Clarice's death," she said with certainty in her voice.
"I'm glad you have no intention of killing Alpha Callum. I'm sure he will kill me first before I can cut a single strand of his hair," Kaspar said fearfully.
Aurelia shook her head. "Nah, Viviana specifically told me not to kill her ex-husband because, after Clarice's death, she plans to gain Alpha Callum's love and trust once more and marry him the second time. We only need to eliminate Clarice, that's what we agreed upon. She provided me with the date and name of the cruise ship the couple would sail on. Now it's up to us how to get rid of Clarice for good," she explained.
"Your friend Viviana is a resourceful woman. How did she get all the details of the couple's cruise ship holiday?" Kaspar asked curiously.
Aurelia shrugged. "It doesn't matter how she obtains the information, as long as you do your job well, our plan will succeed," Aurelia remarked, sipping her wine.
After he finished drinking his wine, Kaspar rose to his feet. "I'm going back to my room," he said and walked away from the balcony, returning to his room to chat with his toy boys online.
Aurelia was left alone on the balcony, enjoying wine and solitude. She could already smell her victory. A devilish smile illuminated her face.
Clarice will be dead soon, and she will forever be free from guilt and nightmares!
"Cheers!" She raised her wine glass in the air, celebrating her victory in advance.
