70. Blissful
That night, Aurelia and Viviana chatted online, and it was the start of their long-lasting friendship that got deeper in time. Since they were planning the downfall of Charice, they stayed low-key and Aurelia never returned to Viviana's beachfront house again to avoid raising suspension.
Days, weeks, and months pass by in the blink of an eye.
Viviana finally gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Alpha Callum was there in the hospital when she gave birth to their baby, and he visited his child on the beach once a month.
One year later...
Alpha Callum and Clarice enjoyed their blissful marriage filled with peace, love and harmony.
They plan to embark on a one-week luxurious cruise trip to celebrate their first year wedding anniversary.
They had already chosen the ship, the biggest and the newest cruise ship in the world, offering the most luxurious and state-of-the art accommodation and top-notch entertainment for its wealthy passengers. The ship was called the Vortex Of The Sea.
But before the couple embarked on their one-week holiday cruise with their son, Caden, they are going to have a family party at the mansion. It's a one-day event for the family, house staff, friends and other important people in the couple's life.
One day before the much-awaited event...
Clarice was busy double-checking her list to make the family event a perfect and memorable event. She was relaxing on the sofa on the mansion's spacious balcony, while sipping her coffee latte.
The weather was great. The sun was hiding behind the thick clouds in the sky, presenting a beautiful afternoon perfect for relaxation.
Clarice had prepared gifts for everyone. She had chosen a cash gift for the household staff equivalent to their one month's salary because she knew a cash gift could bring a big smile to their faces. She instructed the house staff to bring their families to share happiness with them.
To make the children happy, she hired clowns and magicians to entertain them, and she also rented an inflatable playground to complete their happiness.
All the dishes for tomorrow's event are delicious, especially chosen by her. She hired a caterer to provide the food and drinks, then she also hired a party decorator and event organizer that would take care of everything so she and her husband could relax and enjoy the event without worrying about a single thing.
Everything is set for tomorrow!
She's excited!
Alpha Callum planted a kiss on her cheeks. "What are you doing?" he asked, sipping his coffee, glancing at the list of her notes.
"Double check everything. I don't want to miss a thing at tomorrow's party," Clarice replied, smiling brightly.
"How about our cruise ship holiday? Is everything ready?" he asked.
"Yup. We already have a ticket, we are ready for cruising," she responded, beaming happily.
"Good," Alpha Callum smiled. "By the way, Grandpa Eliezer and his entourage will arrive anytime now. They don't want to be late for tomorrow's event," he said, grinning broadly.
"Alright, let's wait for them then," Clarice said cheerily.
Lorey and Caden arrived at the balcony and joined them.
"Mommy, I want to eat ice cream!" Caden said.
"Sure! What flavor do you want to eat?" Clarice asked, kissing her son's head.
"Cookies and cream!" Caden answered.
Clarice looked at Lorey. "Bring the ice cream here. Let's have some ice cream for a snack," she ordered.
"Copy, Luna." Lorey smiled. She left the balcony to get ice cream from the fridge downstairs.
Caden went to his father and sat on his lap. "Daddy, does the cruise ship have rollercoaster rides?" he asked excitedly.
"Yup, there is lots of kid entertainment there, such as game arcades, rope course for kids, climbing up the rock wall, swimming pool, water slide, bumper cars and many more," Alpha Callum replied.
"Wow! So many rides! Will you play and ride with me all day long?" Caden asked expectantly.
"Sure, son," Alpha Callum responded with a smile, kissing his son's chubby cheeks.
"Hooray! I'm excited about going cruising next week!" Caden squealed brightly. "Will Nanny Lorey come with us?"
"Of course!" Alpha Callum replied, hugging his son lovingly. "We will give you another brother or sister soon," he said, winking at his wife.
Clarice giggled, amused.
"I want a real baby brother and sister, not a robot, okay?" Caden told his father.
Clarice and Alpha Callum erupted in laughter. Caden's request started when they watched a heartwarming movie on TV about a family buying a robot boy because they lost their biological son in a car accident.
"Of course, it will be a real baby that will grow up like you," Alpha Callum said, ruffling his son's hair in amusement.
Lorey returned with ice cream and utensils. She served them the bowl of ice cream with a spoon and helped herself as well.
One hour later.
Grandpa Eliezer, Marina and Carlos arrive at the mansion.
After they finished depositing their bags in the guestroom on the second floor, they chatted in the living room for a while.
When night time comes, they have a sumptuous dinner in the dining room.
After dinner, they watched a sci-fi fantasy movie in the living room. After the movie ended, they retired to their rooms upstairs, except for Alpha Callum and Grandpa Eliezer. They were discussing Viviana and Aurelia.
"The two women have no contact with each other anymore?" Grandpa Eliezer asked.
"Yes, Aurelia never returns to the beach to visit Viviana again. The guards keep me updated every day. And I also visit my baby girl once a month. We no longer discuss Aurelia anymore. I think Viviana has already forgotten about her," Alpha Callum explained.
"Good. By the way, Viviana won't give up custody of the baby?" Grandpa Eliezer asked.
Alpha Callum shook his head. "Nope. She will never give up on our daughter. My wife told me not to remove my child from Viviana because she was her only happiness. So I just gave up. As long as Viviana takes good care of my daughter, I will let her be. But if she starts abusing my child, then I will take my daughter away from her. In fairness, Viviana was hands-on in raising our daughter. She dotted on her. I'm satisfied with her current behavior," he concluded.
"That's good to hear," Grandpa Eliezer said in relief.
"Yeah, so far so good. The guards I stationed there give me daily updates about the happenings on the beach," Alpha Callum added.
"I'm glad Viviana finally mellowed down. I think the presence of the baby in her life will make her more grounded, calmer and sensible," Grandpa Eliezer commented.
"Yeah, I think so. That's why I decided to no longer pursue my interest in getting custody of my daughter from Viviana. I think my baby girl is in good hands," Alpha Callum said with finality in her tone.
"Alright then, I'm happy for you and Clarice, things turned out well in the end. Right now, I can only see an endless sea of happiness for you and your family in the days and years to come," Grandpa Eliezer said merrily.
Twenty minutes later, the men's conversation finally ended. They left the living room and went upstairs to their rooms to retire for the night.
