81. Prisoner For Life
She was transported back in time when she was alone sitting on the sun lounger, enjoying the lovely night, waiting for her husband to arrive with their coffee.
Then came the stranger, intentionally dropping his wallet on the floor and her nightmare began...
Clarice felt her heart beat frantically when she realized that the stranger was no other than Kaspar. He took her off guard, froze her and lifted her body, throwing her into the water without mercy. When she hit the water she thought she would die. She can't do anything to help herself.
She screamed, trying to ask for help, but no sound came out of her mouth. She felt her body falling deeper into the water, but to her surprise she resurfaced in the water again and, out of the corner of her eyes, she saw the cruise ship sailing away without her.
Nobody saw her when she fell into the water. No one could help her, even her husband.
Horrified by her hopeless situation, she will die alone in the freezing water. Her dead body will be eaten by sharks later.
She groaned in dismay. What a horrific way to die.
Out of the blue, she felt someone's hand grab both her arms, scooping her out of the water. But the thing that shocked her was that there was no one around her...
Then whose hands were holding her arms in a tight grip?
What the hell?
She was saved by invisible hands!
She saw herself floating in the air.
Did the Moon Goddess take pity on her and save her?
Darkness enveloped her consciousness and she passed out.
The next thing she remembered was when she opened her eyes, she was lying on the bed, already wearing dry clothes and the room she was in had no windows.
Where is she?
What is this place?
She quickly got up from the bed and ran to the door, banging hard on it. "Hey, is anyone out there? Please let me out!"
She tried opening the door but it was locked. She couldn't open the door no matter how hard she tried.
She remembered that there was an invisible hand lifting her out of the water, and she floated in the air but didn't see the face of her savior.
Now she wants to know who it is.
Who saved her from the dangerous waters of the deep blue sea?
Her question was finally answered when the door opened and a pale-looking woman in her late 60's with dark flowing hair entered the room. She was holding a plastic tray filled with food.
"Are you hungry, dear?" the mysterious woman asked.
Clarice looked at the woman. "Are you the invisible person who saved me from the sea?" she quickly asked.
"Yes, I am," the woman replied calmly, placing the plastic tray on the table situated in the corner near the bathroom.
"Thank you so much for saving me," Clarice said gratefully. "Can I go home now? Please? My husband is already worried about me. An evil person threw me into the water to kill me. I need to report that despicable person to the police authorities," she added anxiously.
The mysterious woman walked straight to the door, ignoring Clarice's plea.
"Hello, ma'am, can you hear me? Do you understand what I'm saying?" Clarice asked, confused about why her savior refused to talk to her.
The woman turned around. "You have been unconscious for 8 hours. Eat some food first, then take a long rest. I will return later to have a serious talk with you," she responded calmly, then left the room.
Clarice rushed to the door and tried opening it, but the door wouldn't budge.
Dammit! It was locked again.
She returned to bed, sat on the edge and glanced at the food on the tray consisting of plain rice, fish steak and chicken soup. The aroma of the delicious dishes entered her nostrils and her stomach growled out of hunger. She left the bed, sat on a chair and started eating.
The food tasted good. She ate with gusto.
After eating, she noticed the medicine capsule in the small bowl, then there was a small piece of paper with a written note that says... 'Take this capsule to replenish your blood, you look so pale.'
Clarice stared at the capsule suspiciously. Is the woman drugging her?
What if the woman was a serial killer? Or a member of a human trafficking group?
Fear quickly spread throughout her body due to the uncertainty of her situation. Although the mysterious woman saved her from drowning in the sea, she doesn't know anything about her. She doesn't know if the woman is good or bad.
One thing she knows now is that the woman is not an ordinary person. She can make herself invisible and can float in the air. The woman should have brought her to the hospital immediately and reported to the police authorities that she had found the missing woman from the cruise ship, instead the woman put her in the windowless room and refused to let her go.
She considers those signs a red flag!
She can't trust the woman completely. There is something not right with her. She must escape the room as soon as possible!
After eating, Clarice regained her strength and energy. She began pacing back and forth in the middle of the room, thinking about her situation.
If the woman returns and refuses to let her out of the room, she will fight her way out to escape the place. She will try her best to defeat the powerful woman and run to safety so that she can be reunited with her husband on the cruise ship. Together they will seek revenge on Kaspar!
A few hours later.
The door opened again and Clarice looked at the mysterious woman. "Can I go home now? Please?" she begged desperately.
The woman shook her head. "No. You can never leave this place. You will stay here as my companion forever," she declared in a serious tone.
Clarice's eyes widened in shock and horror. "No! You can't illegally detain me in this room. You will get punished by the authorities for imprisoning me against my will!" she argued fiercely.
The woman rolled her eyes. "You just want to leave and go home? How can you repay me after I saved your life?" she asked.
"My husband is rich, he can give you a monetary reward for saving my life. Trust me, he will give you lots of money if you allow me to go home safely," Clarice assured her.
The woman laughed softly. "I don't need your husband's money. All I need is you!"
Clarice was confused by the woman's vague answer. "What do you mean? Why do you need me?" she asked, raising a brow. Fear gripped her senses, knowing that the woman possessed superpower abilities.
Fear got the better of Clarice. She bolted to the door, wanting to escape, but the woman moved at lightning speed, blocking the door.
"What are you doing? Trying to escape?" the woman asked, toying with Clarice's emotions.
"I need to go home! Please allow me to leave!" Clarice screamed in despair, pushing the woman out of her way. But to her absolute surprise, she could no longer move her body, but her mind was still functioning, she was acutely aware of her surroundings. Damn, the mysterious woman froze her!
The woman lifted Clarice's body effortlessly and placed her on the bed. "Time for my feeding, dear. I can't get enough of your blood. The first time I tasted your blood it tasted like wine, so delicious and addicting. I love it!"
The woman smiled broadly, licking her lips, showing her sharp fangs.
Terrified, Clarice could only stare at the woman in absolute horror. That was the moment when she realized the true identity of the woman. Her savior was a blood-sucking vampire!
When the woman sank her sharp fangs into Clarice's neck, her system shut down and she passed out. With her fading vision, Clarice realized how shitty her fate was.
Kaspar attempted to kill her twice but failed.
Fortunately, she was saved by a bloodsucker, but now she has become the vampire's blood feeder.
The vampire's prisoner for life.
