55. Dark World
Clarice shook her head. "No. As much as I wanted to kill them with my hands to take revenge for the suffering they put me through, I didn't want to do it during my wedding. I want my wedding to be a happy and memorable occasion not only for us but for everyone. I'm not planning to ruin my wedding with bloody vengeance. As long as the Moon Goddess grants me lifetime happiness with you and our son, I'm willing to forget revenge. That's all I really want for myself right now..."
Alpha Callum smiled and planted a kiss on her lips. "As long as we continue to love each other and stay true to each other, we will get all the happiness we deserve in this lifetime."
Clarice smiled and hugged him tightly. "No matter what happens in the future, don't ever change, okay?"
Alpha Callum nodded his head. "Of course, I will never change. I will always be here for you," he responded lovingly.
The couple continued cuddling on the bed, discussing their wedding in detail.
That night, Alpha Callum slept in the rental house to be with his beloved family. Then, the following day, he returned to the mansion.
Upon arriving at the mansion, he instructed the servants to remove all the things, furniture and appliances in the master's bedroom he shared with his ex-wife so that he could convert it into a playroom for Caden.
He chose another room for his and Clarice's bedroom. It's his way of deleting his past with Viviana and starting anew with Clarice.
In the afternoon, Alpha Callum went to the farm and visited Grandpa Eliezer.
"How's everything here, Pops?" he asked, lowering himself to the sofa.
"Everything is fine here. The couple tend to vegetable plants and animals. We just added a row of cucumbers and bitter melon to our garden. I'm satisfied with the growth of the plants. They are growing healthy. The horses are also adjusting well here. They are magnificent creatures," Grandpa Eliezer responded animatedly.
"I'm glad everything is fine here," Alpha Callum said, happy for his grandpa.
"So, how's Viviana?" Grandpa Eliezer asked.
"She is doing well in the beach house," Alpha Callum replied.
"How's her pregnancy?" Grandpa Eliezer inquired.
"The baby is growing healthily in her stomach. They're both fine, I guess," Alpha Callum answered.
Grandpa Eliezer smiled. "Great. I'm glad everyone is doing well. I hope the peace and happiness we felt today will last forever."
"It will for sure. We no longer have problems, right?" Alpha Callum said.
"No problems yet. Let's hope it stays this way for a long time." Grandpa Eliezer smiled.
They chatted for more than two hours, then Alpha Callum bid goodbye to Grandpa Eliezer and returned to the mansion to perform his Alpha duties.
...
Days passed by.
Mia's mother had recovered well from her illness and was no longer busy. She went to the beach house to visit her preggy friend. She found Viviana relaxing on the sun lounger, knitting baby clothes while occasionally looking at the deep blue sea in front of her.
"I'm back!"
"Behold, what a beautiful sight I see! My best friend knits baby clothes now. How cute they look and what a terrific hobby you had," Mia said, pleased that her friend is settling well in her beach house, enjoying her life, enjoying singlehood.
Viviana grinned. "Knitting is an awesome hobby. I like it. Once I started knitting, I forgot everything around me."
"Oh, are you still trying to forget the pain of losing your husband?" Mia asked, lowering herself to the vacant sun lounger.
"Yeah. The pain is still fresh. I still have bad days once I start remembering everything. The biggest mistake I have made so far in my life is giving my husband an easy divorce. I should have made things difficult for him and his fated mate," Viviana said bitterly, regretting her decision.
Mia heaved a sigh, not liking her friend's statement. "I beg to disagree. Actually, it was the best decision you ever made in your life. You let go of your husband quickly, sparing yourself from long suffering and denial. And look at this heavenly place and the millions in your bank account. They are your reward for using your head wisely. In my eyes, you did the right thing."
Viviana nodded her head and smiled brightly. "Indeed, I'm a lucky bitch!" she said, proud of herself and her latest accomplishment in life.
"So, what's your plan for this afternoon? Watching movies all day long and strolling around the beach?" Mia asked.
"Honestly, I'm kind of getting bored doing the same thing over and over again. I need a change of atmosphere," Viviana said, putting the knitting needles and the fabric on her lap. "Now that you are here, let's go to the mall and go shopping!" she said, beaming excitedly.
"Sure! I'm game!" Mia responded merrily. After staying in the hospital for several days, she also needed some self-pampering.
Viviana stood up and picked up her knitting tools. "Let's go to the house, so I can get dressed."
"OK," Mia replied. "By the way, when are you going to see your Obgyn?" she asked.
"Next week, I already have my schedule. Will you accompany me to the doctor's clinic?" Viviana asked.
"Yes, I will," Mia replied with a smile. "I'm going to be your baby's godmother. I should be there every step of the way."
"Great!" Viviana said joyously.
The women entered the house and proceeded to Viviana's room to change her attire.
One hour later, the women can be seen leaving the beach house accompanied by two bodyguards.
After arriving at the nearest mall, the women proceed to the salon for foot spa and pampering.
They shopped for clothes, shoes and bags and bought everything that caught their fancy. They also entered the jewelry store and bought some expensive gold earrings and necklaces.
The women were having a blast shopping.
Five hours later, the women were getting tired of their mall activities and decided to go home.
Viviana and her bodyguards dropped Mia at her home, and they proceeded to the beach house.
It was already 9:00 in the evening when Viviana was finally able to rest and lay down on the bed. She quickly browsed her phone and logged into her account on the dark web and chatted with her anonymous friends in their private chat room.
She spent three hours on the dark web. When she started yawning, she bid her friends goodbye and logged out of her account, then went to sleep.
She slept that night peacefully, sporting a smile on her face.
The dark web had slowly become part of her life.
