21. Life Is Good!
The door opened, and Grandpa Eliezer stepped outside. "Son, you're finally back," he commented casually.
"Yup. Where are you going, Pops?" he asked.
"Go to the lake to check on your wife. She's been there since the morning. She was upset because when she woke up in the morning you were already gone," Grandpa Eliezer explained. "You seemed to have forgotten that you had a wife waiting for you here," he said wryly.
Alpha Callum sighed, scratching his head, feeling guilty. "I'll go there to check on her," he replied.
"Go ahead then. I have to remind you that she was pissed, so avoid worsening the situation with her," Grandpa Eliezer warned him.
"Got it, Pops. I'm going there now," Alpha Callum replied and turned around, walking on the path leading to the lake.
After walking for a few minutes, he finally arrived at the lake and saw his wife sitting on the picnic blanket, staring blankly at the majestic mountains looming in the distance. "Sorry I'm late," he apologized as he approached her location.
She looked at him, surprised that he had finally arrived at the lake. She didn't expect this...
He lowered himself on the blanket.
"Where have you been?" she asked gloomily.
"Checking the victims of the landslide in the village," he lied with a straight face.
She sighed softly, not believing in him. She know he's lying. But she's not in the mood to start a quarrel with him.
"Are you going to stay here for a few minutes after checking on me or will you leave again?" she asked, observing his face closely, ready to slap his face if he left again.
"I will stay with you for the rest of the afternoon and evening," he answered casually, looking at the lake. "Happy now?" he asked, not really interested in how she felt because he knew what she truly wanted from him, his time and attention. Maybe if he gives her what she wants she will stop pestering him.
Luna Viviana finally smiled. "I'm happy, of course!" she said and rested her head on his lap, smiling joyously.
Alpha Callum humored his wife, as she rested her head on his lap for a few minutes, basking in the tranquil scenery around them. "The water looks inviting. I want to go swimming," he finally said.
"Okay, let's go swimming then," she said excitedly, rising to her feet, happy that he was not going anywhere and had chosen to stay with her for the rest of the afternoon and evening.
The couple jumped into the lake together, enjoying the water like they always do before Clarice came into the picture.
While the couple was frolicking in the water, a storm was gathering in the distance.
Alpha Callum performed his duty well, with the aim of making his wife happy because he was already exhausted from her drama queen attitude.
That night, when his wife demanded intimacy, he obliged her, sending her cumming within just a few minutes of nonstop thrusting into her wet core. He wanted the deed to be over immediately. The quicker, the better.
Pleasuring his wife was much easier now because he was imagining that it was his fated mate Clarice that he was making love with.
Luna Viviana slept peacefully that night, wearing a satisfied expression on her lips.
On the other hand, Alpha Callum can't wait to see Clarice again and be reunited with her the following day.
His complicated life had just begun. Unfortunately, he was powerless to stop it.
...
The following day, when Alpha Callum woke up at 7:00 in the morning, he didn't leave the house immediately. He went downstairs and helped Grandpa prepare breakfast in the kitchen.
"I'll make the sandwich and the waffles, son," Grandpa Eliezer said energetically.
"I'll help you, Pops," he said and settled on the chair, spreading honey mustard mayonnaise on the sliced bread.
Grandpa started mixing the ready-to-mix waffle batter and cooking it in the waffle maker. He looked at Callum. "How's your wife, son? I hope she's no longer mad at you. I hope you guys already fixed your differences last night.
"We did fix things between us, Pops. I think we're okay now." Alpha Callum replied casually, putting more mayonnaise on his bread.
"That's good to hear, son. What your wife needs is your time and sweet loving. All wives crave that kind of attention from their husbands. Always make her feel treasured and loved, so your marriage will be peaceful and harmonious."
Alpha Callum sighed inwardly. "You are right, Pops."
Grandpa finished cooking six pieces of delicious waffles and put them on a serving plate. "I will cook a scrambled egg with lots of onions and garlic. My favorite," he said, grinning as he truly enjoyed cooking.
"Yummy!" Luna Viviana's voice vibrated in the air, joining them in the kitchen. "Good morning, guys!"
Alpha Callum looked at his wife's smiling face and replied, "Good morning."
"Good morning, dear," Grandpa responded with a smile.
Luna Viviana looked at her husband. Her eyes shone with happiness. "Hon, it's a nice feeling to see you still in the house, preparing breakfast with Grandpa. I love it!" she said and planted a kiss on her husband's face lovingly.
Grandpa smiled. It seems the couple has finally reconciled. It's nice to see them looking fine again. He was happy for them despite knowing the truth that Callum was only acting nice in front of his wife, but the truth is, Callum longed to be with his fated mate. It's a difficult situation to be trapped in, torn between two lovers and feeling like a fool.
He finished cooking the scrambled eggs in the non-stick pan and transferred them to a serving plate. "I'm done cooking, let's eat!" he said energetically.
"You go ahead, guys, I'll return upstairs and take fertility medicine first before eating," Luna Viviana said, winking at her husband.
The two men looked at each other when Luna Viviana was already gone from the kitchen.
"I hope my fertility medicine will finally work this time. I feel sorry for Luna Viviana," Grandpa said. "It would be a big miracle if your wife got pregnant one day."
Alpha Callum didn't reply.
Grandpa had been observing Callum's face the whole time. "Why are you not saying anything? You are no longer excited about having a child with your wife?" he asked in a low voice.
"I already have a son with Clarice, Pops," Alpha Callum answered in a whisper.
Grandpa smiled. "Ah, okay. I got it."
They stopped talking when they heard Luna Viviana's heavy footsteps coming down the staircase. They began putting food on their plates.
Luna Viviana joined the men at the table. "I'm done taking fertility medicine. I hope I will get pregnant soon!" she said with bright enthusiasm, gazing at her husband's eyes adoringly.
Alpha Callum smiled at his wife, noticing her enthusiasm. He didn't want to destroy the peaceful morning between them, so he had to continue keeping his charade as a loving husband to her.
He hopes that in the coming days, things will get easier and better for him when it comes to managing the two women in his life. Right now his situation is quite difficult. He strives to give women equal attention and balancing his time to cater to their needs is not an easy job. And he also had Alpha duties, taking up much of his time as well.
One thing is for sure, he is getting busier...
He sighed inwardly and took a big bite of the tasty sandwich he was holding in his hand.
While eating their delicious breakfast, the trio engaged in a lively chat, discussing the activities on the farm.
After eating, the couple proceeded to the lake to go swimming in the water and enjoy the beautiful weather, perfect for a picnic.
Frolicking with her husband in the lake, Luna Viviana looked happy and at peace with herself. Coming to the lake was not a bad decision after all. She was glad that her husband finally came around, meeting her in the middle and willing to restore peace and harmony in their marriage.
"Life is good," Luna Viviana murmured happily while gazing at the blue sky above, thankful for this wonderful moment she spent with her husband on this beautiful lake.
