Chapter 69 More Lingerie!
Henderson had a confused expression on his face as he peered at Lena's changed countenance.
"You don't have an answer to my question?" She peeked at Henderson with raised brows and folded her arms across her chest.
Henderson moved closer to Lena, his arm draped around her waist. His blue eyes gazing into hers, eluding love and care.
"You are my girlfriend and I love you."
Lena scoffed drawing back from him, "What you did doesn't seem like it to me, it only states that you see me as Itzel's Nanny. And here I was thinking we had gone past that stage."
A sigh escaped Henderson's lips and he shook his head, " Babe, I didn't mean it that way... I just thought that..."
"That I'm after your money? Well, I'm not!" Lena interjected glaring at Henderson.
Henderson glanced at her from the corner of his eyes, he was about to say something but Lena interjected once more.
"Did I complain to you that you weren't paying me? We are in a relationship and how does it sound to you to pay me for looking after your daughter who is equally mine? Does it make sense? You know what, I'm done talking to you about this, " Lena took a deep breath reminding herself to calm down.
She shook her head in disappointment before leaving the room ignoring Henderson's calls. When Lena got to her room, she grabbed her phone and transferred back the money Henderson had sent to her earlier. She plopped on the bed fuming and mumbling to herself, Henderson's action had pissed her off.
While Henderson made his way to Lena's room, he frantically racked his brain trying to come up with a way to appease Lena. His intention wasn't to make her feel that way, he felt it was the right thing to do but now he figured it was a very bad idea. He had seen the alert of the money Lena sent back to him and it made him feel even more guilt.
Henderson knocked on the door to Lena's room as he stood in front of it.
Lena's face contorted in a frown when she pulled the door open and saw Henderson.
"Are you here to pay me for agreeing to be your girlfriend as well?"
"Can I come in?" Henderson mumbled.
Lena didn't say a word to him she just left the door open and ambled to the couch and sat on it.
Henderson entered the room and sauntered to her, he crouched in front of Lena and placed his hands on his thigh.
"Lee, I'm sorry. I had no intention of making you feel that way, I apologise for it. Please forgive me, " his voice conveyed remorse.
"What can I do to make you see how sorry I am?"
"Saying sorry is enough, " Lena muttered after a fleeting gaze.
Henderson plastered a smile on his face and straightened himself from the ground, he sat beside Lena.
"I'm sorry, " Henderson apologised once again taking her hand in his.
Lena's mouth curved into a smile, " it's ok."
Henderson cupped Lena's face, stroking his thumb over her bottom lips, " I love you."
Lena froze over his gentle touch and she could swear that the only sound she could hear in the room was the sound of her racing heart. Leaning in, she kissed Henderson. She could feel his warm mouth on hers, instantly overpowering her with his soft yet fierce kisses that got her heart doing cartwheels every damn time.
Breakfast....
"Lee, I was thinking about you, Cleo and Zel going shopping after breakfast. While me and Trent stay back at home, I invited Brian and Matteo over."
"Shopping? I don't think I need anything, Cleo and Itzel can go. I'll just stay back, " Lena smiled turning to Cleo and Itzel.
"Henderson are you trying to kick us out in a polite manner?" Cleo's expression closed up, she dropped her cutlery and shifted her gaze to Henderson.
"No, I'm just thinking that you ladies having a girl's time out while me and Trent have ours with Matteo and Brian isn't such a bad idea is it?" Henderson smiled gently turning to Lena.
"Well, if you are paying for it I don't mind, " a smile marred Cleo's face and she shrugged.
Henderson averted his gaze from Lena to Cleo and rolled his eyes at her.
"If you don't stop running your mouth, you'll be paying for yours!"
The smile on Cleo's face slipped as she heard his words, she scoffed shooting him a glare.
"We both know it is not possible," Cleo uttered confidently a smirk tugging the side of her lips.
"Whatever, " Henderson scoffed returning his gaze to Lena.
"Babe, here is my card. The pin is 5617."
Henderson put his hand into his pants pocket, took out the black card and handed it over to Lena.
"You guys can get whatever you want."
Lena stared at Henderson reluctant to take the card from him.
"I'm not trying to make you feel that all you want is money if you are going to say that. After all the only reason I work really hard is so you guys can spend as much as much as you want." Henderson took Lena's hand and placed the card in it.
"Thank you, " Lena smiled.
"Don't mention it, my money is your money. You don't tell yourself thank you for what is yours, do you?" Henderson lifted a brow at her.
A smile embraced his lips, he leaned over and kissed Lena on the cheeks.
"Buddy, what do think we should do while we are at home?" Henderson inquired beaming as he turned to face Trent.
"We should play a game, " Trent giggled.
"Aunt Lena, I'm sure we are going to have a lot of fun together," Itzel interjected. A lopsided grin spread across her face as she glanced at Henderson and then Trent.
"Seems like someone is jealous, " Henderson teased winking at Trent and they burst out laughing.
"Daddy, I'm not jealous!" Itzel peered at Henderson, her face contorting in a frown.
Henderson and Trent exchanged glances and erupted into laughter again.
Itzel looked at them with curled-up lips and narrowed eyes, She made to say something but Lena's calm voice stopped her.
"Don't mind them, Itzel, we are going to have a lot of fun. You'll have the last laugh, " Lena chipped in holding up her hand to Itzel for a high five.
"We sure will, " Itzel grinned giving Lena a high-five.
An Hour Later....
"Are they gone?" Brian inquired as he stepped into the room after Henderson opened the door for him.
"Yeah, they've been gone for almost an hour. What took you so long?" Henderson frowned.
Brian sighed, " I'm sorry man but Mikayla just showed up at my house."
Henderson's eyes crinkled in surprise, his brows slightly furrowed.
"Mikayla, the same Mikayla?"
"Yes, " Brian nodded.
"That's surprising."
Brian nodded, " it is. She said something about realising that I'm the one for her but I made it clear to her that I'm not interested. She went on and on and I just told her to leave."
Henderson chuckled, "Sorry man."
Brian shot him an angry glare, " You are saying sorry and laughing at me at the same time. You know what I'm damn tired of this whole Casanova thing. I mean you are probably going to be tying the knot with Lena soon and I'm very much single and not lucky with ladies. How did I even get here?"
"Well, that's what you get for being a playboy, " Henderson chortled.
Brian let out a laugh and arched a brow at Henderson, " coming from the guy who initiated me to the playboy gang and now I'm stuck there while he's now a certified lover boy."
"My condolences, Brian." Henderson's mocking laughter filled the room and he placed his hand on his chest dramatically.
"You are crazy!" Brian shook his head and smacked him on the shoulder.
"Where are Matteo and Trent? We should get going now," Brian muttered.
"Yeah, I'll call them right away. They are writing down the list of things we'll have to get." Henderson replied before scooting upstairs.
"Guys, let's go! Brian is here!" Henderson hollered as he walked into the playroom. Trent and Matteo were playing chess. Marrow grabbed the list he and Trent had made, They sprang up to their feet and together, they headed downstairs.
At The Mall
Cleo and Itzel continued to make Lena roam with them around the mall as they kept putting things they weren't probably going to need into the cart. The drive to the mall was fun, at itzel's request they stopped by a restaurant to get some snacks and drinks for themselves.
Cleo and Itzel got a lot of dresses and new shoes as well. Cleo picked out four handbags from Vicie the popular and most expensive brand for herself and Lena.
"Itzel you should go check out the toys over there, You might..." Itzel ran off happily to the other side before Cleo could complete the rest of her statement.
"We should go over to the lingerie section, " Cleo started winking at Lena.
"Lingerie..."
Cleo chuckled seeing the look that had taken over Lena's face.
"Come on, or don't you want to get some?" Cleo frowned.
"Well... I..."
Cleo didn't wait to hear the rest of the sentence Lena was saying as she continued to stutter, She just grabbed Lena's hand and pulled her with her to the Lingerie section which was just a few steps away from where they were standing. Cleo just kept picking out different colours of lingerie while Lena just stood there lost in thoughts.
She and Henderson were yet to have sex, and he never brought up the issue the father they had gone was just kisses and nothing else but now that she was thinking about it she knew that sooner or later they were probably going to have sex, she wanted to have that intimate moment with Henderson but she didn't know if she was ready for it yet considering that after Axel raped her she had never gotten into any relationship with anyone and she never had sex with anyone either.
Cleo brought an end to the lingerie picking when she saw Itzel walking towards them with two dolls she had chosen for herself. She and Lena walked to meet up with Itzel.
"Aunt Lena, I just saw Uncle Matteo and Uncle B, but I didn't see them again afterwards." Itzel let out.
"Matteo and Brian? Didn't Henderson say they were going to come over to the mansion? Where did you see them?" Lena's brow knitted together her eyes darted around.
"Over there, " Itzel pointed to the direction she had just come from.
"We should go check, " Lena spoke up taking Itzel's hand in hers.
Lena turned to Cleo who was typing on her phone. When Cleo noticed that Itzel's and Lena's eyes were on her, she hoisted her head to peer at them.
"Itzel must have been mistaken, I don't think Matteo and Brian are here." Cleo protested.
"But I saw them, " Itzel insisted.
Cleo shook her head, " it might have been their doppelganger. We should just keep shopping, we need to get sunglasses, bracelets and more clothes, Itzel." Cleo nudged patting Itzel's head.
"Ok, and we have to get gifts for Daddy and Trent as well." Itzel smiled.
"I agree but more clothes and shoes? I thought we had gotten enough?" Lena sighed.
Itzel and Cleo wriggled their heads.
"We are just getting started, " Cleo grinned.
"Yes, and you have to get a lot of beautiful dresses like the one you wore to that party with Daddy and he couldn't take his eyes off you, " Itzel teased glancing at Cleo who nodded in support.
"Yes, Lena. Don't say no to more beautiful dresses..." Cleo paused leaning closer to Lena she whispered into her ears.
"And more lingerie."
Lena bobbed her head, a scrunched-up expression plastered on her face as she raised her hands, "No, thank you."
