Chapter 117— Fulfilled Dreams!

"We have something to tell you guys," Lena's lips curved into a smile as she and Henderson locked gazes. Henderson had a smile on his face as he stretched his hand over to Lena and his hand enveloped hers. He brought her hand to his lips and placed a kiss on the back of her palm. "Tell us, I really don't like suspense. You are well aware." Irene whined staring at them. "Yeah me too." Cleo nodded in support. Lena chuckled gazing at both of them. She looked at the others and they had these curious looks on their faces just that they were yet to say anything. "Seems to me like today is filled with a lot of good news seeing the happiness on yours and Henderson's faces." Madam Carmen gleamed her eyes darting from Lena to Henderson. Alia bobbed her head agreeing with Madam Carmen. "I think so too." "Are they going to tell us what they want to say or not? What's with the suspense?" Itzel sighed she was starting to get impatient seeing how her parents kept looking at each other lovingly forgetting that other people were waiting to hear what they were going to say. Trent chuckled and patted her on the shoulder. "Patience sister. Be patient." "I better get to it, my babies are starting to get impatient." Lena cleared her throat looking over at Itzel at Trent. "Not me, she is." Trent shook his head pointing to Itzel. Itzel scoffed, "Don't act like you aren't tired of the suspense as well." "Itzel... Take it easy, we'll tell you guys right now." Henderson's voice came. "We are having a baby." Lena let out and watched as everyone's faces lit up with smiles. Except Trent and Itzel who had these expressions on their faces and she couldn't even decipher what it meant. Congratulations flew from every side to Lena and Henderson but Trent and Itzel hadn't said a word yet. "Congratulations sweeties." Lena's mom was excited, she couldn't contain her joy, she got up on her feet and ambled to them embracing them in a warm hug before returning back to her seat. "Thank you," Lena and Henderson appreciated throwing a smile at her. Trent and Itzel glanced at each other. "We are going to have siblings." They said the words at the same time making everyone turn to them. "You guys are not happy?" Lena's brows furrowed slightly as she peered at them. They had always wanted that, on many occasions, they had told her and Henderson that they wanted siblings so she was wondering what changed now. "No," they shook their heads. "I'm really happy. I'm just surprised. I always thought that it was going to be just me and Trent since..." "Since it's been a long time." Trent completed Itzel's statement and she nodded. "I'm excited, I can't wait to have a sister. No offence, it would be good to have a less annoying sister." Trent teased and earned a hard glare from Itzel. Itzel rolled her eyes at him and burst out laughing, " Who said it's going to be a girl? It's going to be a boy, it would be great having a sensible brother for the first time, no hard feelings." Trent's jaw dropped and he placed his hand on his chest but then he smiled. He knew Itzel was just trying to get back at him because of what he said. He couldn't get upset, after all, he had started it. "Let's ask Mommy and Daddy, I'm sure they would want a boy," Itzel said confidently. Both she and Trent shifted their gaze to Henderson and Lena who exchanged glances, just like they had thought this argument was bound to happen. "It won't matter if it's a boy or a girl. We'll love you all regardless." Henderson spoke. "Yes," Lena nodded. "Itzel, why do I feel like the reason why you don't want a girl is because you don't want to share your things with her?" Trent queried arching a brow at Itzel. Itzel stared at him but she didn't say a word, she just averted her gaze. "I know the answer. Your silence says it all." Trent chortled. Brian stood up on his feet and clasped his hands together. "It's time." He cheered. "We have a lot to toast to. First Lena won her first case as a lawyer and the announcement of welcoming a new child into this wonderful family." Brian spoke grabbing his glass of wine and the others did the same with their drinks. Lena went back to school to fulfil her dream of becoming a lawyer, it wasn't easy for her but with constant support and encouragement from her husband, her children, the whole family and friends it was amazing. She graduated with a first class and had her first case today which she won. It was a case of rape and standing in the courtroom defending that young woman reminded her of her life. The first time she was raped years back and the time when she managed to escape being raped for a second time. That day after Shane had gotten hold of the knife, during the struggle between him and Lena, he got stabbed. Seeing Shane lying in a pool of his own blood Lena was unable to bear the sight she fought the urge to vomit but ended up fainting. She woke up and found herself in the hospital. She got to know that her driver had followed the car that kidnapped her but lost track of it. Since Henderson was on a trip, he called up Brian and Brighton who informed Cleo and Irene that Lena was abducted. Cleo and Irene picked up the kids from school. They tried to contact Henderson but it wasn't connecting. Brighton and Brian reported to the police and after tracking down Lena's phone they were able to locate the place where she was takenhey arrested Venita and the goons and broke down the door since it was locked from inside. By the time Henderson landed in Hayglow, Lena was already at the hospital, he was on his flight back together with Matteo when they called hence they weren't able to reach him. With the pieces of evidence evidence which included the video from the camera, Shane and Venita were put behind bars. Despite the fact that Shane had lost a lot of blood, he didn't die. Venita was cancelled and her fans turned against her when the news got out even though Henderson tried so hard to curtail the news. Henderson was filled with rage and fury, he wanted to deal with Shane and Venita himself but Lena told him not to take laws into his hands. He apologised for not being there to protect her but she assured him that she was fine. The doctor said she was fine she just had to rest and he prescribed some pain relievers for her because of the headache she was having. Henderson feared that Lena was going to go back to being traumatised and having all those dreadful nightmares because of the incident but Lena told him that she had gotten over her fears. "Cheers to Lena and Henderson." Raves of excitement filled the room and glasses clicked as everyone rejoiced. "Brian I think you are forgetting something. I've always wanted to do this. Cheers to Brighton, he finally found love." Lena chipped In smiling and everyone clapped. Brighton was engaged to Gracie a supermodel she was also a niece of Mrs Lisa, Lena's mom's neighbour. Brighton and Gracie met when she came to his modelling agency and it was love at first sight for them. Their wedding was in two weeks and everyone was super excited for them. Gracie was a sweet soul and she got along with everyone, Irene, Cleo and Lena loved her they just had the feeling that she was the one the moment Brighton introduced her to them. They were having a dinner to celebrate Lena's win. Brian and Irene came with their son Justin, who was three years old. They had tied the knot four years ago. Cleo and Matteo were also married, they got married the same year as Brian and Irene their weddings were just a three-month interval, they had a daughter named Cherry, she was going to turn two in four months. "Thank you, Lena." Brighton and his fiancee appreciated. "Also we have to congratulate Matteo, the latest CEO in town who is doing amazingly well for himself." Henderson praised. "Hell yeah." "Thank you," Matteo smiled when a round of applause filled the room. Matteo started his own Company three years ago with help support and mentorship from his friends Henderson, Brighton and Brian. It was no longer a three-gang friendship it was now four. Matteo, Henderson, Brian and Brighton were best of friends. Matteo's company was growing really well, he had managed to start up two other branches in two cities and won an award during the business event last year. Everyone was excited about his win and they planned a surprise party which Cleo almost ended up blurting out to Matteo but Irene was quick to stop her. Irene stopped working for Brighton, she was now working in Brian's company. Cleo was no longer with Zel group of company, she was the managing director of her husband's company. And yes, even though no one saw it coming, Alia Henderson's sister got married a year ago She fell in love with a man she met when she had gone on a vacation two years back and they were head over heels in love with each other. Henderson and Lena insisted that Madam Carmen no longer work for them but she still stayed in the mansion supervising other workers since that was what she wanted.
