Chapter 106—Quarrels!!
"Come on girls. Alia and my mom left just two days ago and you both want to do the same as well?" Lena's voice conveyed her sadness as well. She didn't like the news from Cleo and Irene. They had just told her and Henderson that they had plans to leave the mansion and get their own apartment together.
"I figured it's high time I leave. I mean, I've stayed here for a pretty long time and I'm grateful." Cleo mumbled.
Irene nodded, "Thank you both for letting me stay here but I've come to a decision to leave. You both need to spend a lot of time together away from disturbances and intrusion."
"Makes me feel like my presence just makes everyone want to leave." a gloomy expression took over her face.
"Or maybe it's my presence," Henderson muttered.
Cleo and Irene exchanged glances and chuckled.
"You were right Cleo when you said we had to brace up before telling them of our plans to leave. Now I see why." Irene sighed facepalming and Cleo burst out laughing. Initially, when Cleo had told Irene that Lena and Henderson were going to make it a big deal if they told them about their plans to move out she thought that Cleo was exaggerating but now she was proven wrong.
"Well, I told you so."
Cleo turned to Lena after her laughter died down and she smiled.
"Lena, It's nothing like that. You are the best sister-in-law anyone could ever ask for. You are the sweetest but I think it's high time I leave. And it's not as if I'm leaving the country we'll be around and visit whenever we have the chance to."
Irene bobbed her head in support," of course we would visit. Brother-in-law, you are the dream brother-in-law so don't think that way. We love you guys so we want you to enjoy each other company, so we can come for a baby shower as soon as possible." Irene giggled.
"What? We just got married Irene, you should slow down a bit." Lena cautioned glaring at her.
"Having babies isn't such a bad idea," Henderson whispered to Lena and his lips curved up happily. Lena chortled shaking her head.
"Irene, why don't you just leave today already? Cleo you can stay for as long as you want." Lena making them laugh except Irene who huffed in retort.
"I'm sure you don't mean that, sis."
"I do trust me." Lena kept a straight face.
"Whatever!" Irene grumbled.
"We all know she doesn't mean that. Let it slide Irene, you know how much she loves you. I'm pretty sure she is going to cry when she sees you ready to leave." Henderson chortled.
"Do not give her false hope babe," Lena scoffed making them chuckle.
"Have you both gotten an apartment yet?" Henderson inquired.
"Not yet, we are still searching." Irene and Cleo started. Henderson turned to Lena and they muttered some words to themselves before he shifted his gaze back to Cleo and Irene.
"Well, you can quit the search. I have houses around you can make your choice and move in when you want to." Henderson let out.
Irene and Cleo looked at each other before returning their gazes to Lena and Henderson.
"Really?" Their eyes widened.
"Yes," Lena nodded.
"Thank you so much," Irene and Cleo appreciated.
"Anything for family." Henderson beamed turning to Lena who had a huge smile plastered on her face.
Two Weeks Later.....
Cleo and Irene had moved out of the mansion a week ago into a house that was a few streets away. Just a quick drive and they could come pay a visit at the mansion. Everything was peaceful until three days after Cleo and Irene moved out Trent and Itzel began to quarrel and fight over the littlest things, the other day it was about who was going to walk through the door first when the doorway was big enough for both of them to walk through at the same time. And just yesterday they were arguing about who was the smartest, Henderson and Lena had to step in and tell them that they are both smart kids. Lena stood in front of the mirror taking in her reflection after applying lip gloss and mascara. Placing the mascara on the table and rubbing her lips together she breathed out a long sigh and took deep breaths before exhaling slowly. Henderson's arms wrapped around Lena's waist from behind, he kissed her neck before turning her gently to face him.
"You are beautiful." he purred kissing the tip of her nose. Her hands draped around his neck and she stood on her tiptoes to kiss him. He picked her up making it easier for both of them as they locked lips. Henderson walked to the bed and placed Lena on it.
"I love you." These words left Henderson's lips as he leaned forward his legs between Lena's thigh and encircled her legs around him pulling him in.
"I love you, baby," she said as her arms encircled him and she kissed him. A moan left her lips as Henderson's hand found its way to her tits and he caressed them lightly while planting kisses on her neck which sent waves of pleasure down her entire body.
Just as things were getting heated, a knock came on the doctor followed by the lovely voice of their daughter Itzel.
"Mommy, Daddy. Aunt Nana asked me to call you down for breakfast."
"Not the right time.... " Lena put a hand over Henderson's mouth to stop him from completing the statement. She took a deep breath to steady her breathing.
"Honey, we'll be with you guys shortly," Lena said almost in a yell loud enough for Itzel to hear.
"Mommy, are you okay? Why are yelling?" Itzel's voice was heavy with concern.
"Mommy is fine, sweetie. Don't worry." Lena mumbled. Henderson put his hand over his mouth preventing himself from bursting into laughter. Lena peered at him with narrowed eyes and he comported himself taking his hand off his mouth.
"The door is closed, I locked it myself you don't have to worry about the kids seeing us," Henderson whispered in a teasing tone making Lena smack him on the shoulder playfully.
"Did you have to follow me, Trent?" Itzel questioned angrily glaring at Trent who was standing beside her.
"I just...."
"Shut up. I don't want to hear it.." Itzel interjected in annoyance putting her hand in the air.
"That's rude. Don't speak to me like that." Trent retorted.
Itzel huffed and burst out laughing.
"Speak to the air... Blah blah blah...." Itzel started to make a squeaky sound overshadowing Trent's voice as he complained.
"What's wrong with Itzel?" Henderson grumbled.
"That's enough itzel," Henderson warned.
Footsteps echoed right after Henderson was done speaking.
"Don't yell at her. I think she left." Lena mumbled shaking her head.
"Sweeties go downstairs we'll meet you soon." Henderson hollered.
"Ok, Daddy. Itzel already went downstairs." Trent's voice came followed by their footsteps as they ambled away from the door.
"They are at it again... " Lena sighed facepalming.
"Honey, don't worry about it. I think it's pretty normal misunderstanding between siblings. We'll just speak with them and sort things out."
Lena didn't say a word, she was deep in thought. The issue at hand was becoming rather too much and it was difficult to just agree that it was just part of the coming misunderstandings that usually occurred between siblings.
Lena's thoughts were interrupted when Henderson's warm lips met hers. Her lips parted slightly giving him access as he worked his tongue against her and they took it from where they had stopped before the interruption.
After Lena and Henderson were done with their business, they went downstairs to have breakfast. Henderson scolded Itzel about the way she had spoken to Trent, Lena told them to love each other and desist from quarreling after which they apologised to each other. Lena and Henderson were excited seeing that the kids had made up but their happiness was short-lived once they started to argue during the drive to school. This time Trent started it, he asked Itzel to apologise for hitting him with her leg but she claimed she didn't hit him hence she was not going to apologise.
"Asanel, you have to apologise to Trent. Trent wouldn't lie about you hitting him." Henderson intervened casting a quick glance backward and returned his gaze quickly to the road since he was behind the wheels.
Henderson rarely called Itzel Asanel except when he was really pissed with her and at this moment he was. To him, Itzel was the one who was always starting the quarrels and making them linger since she loved to drag arguments. It was one of the qualities Itzel took from her birth mother Vivian that he hated.
"And I'm the liar Dad, are my not?" Itzel murmured.
"No, I never said that." Henderson sighed in frustration.
"It's okay Daddy. Just leave it be." Trent muttered.
Henderson shook his head in disapproval, Trent was the one who was always taking a fall for all of Itzel's tantrums but not now. He wasn't going to let that continue.
"No, Trent. It's not okay. Itzel apologise to your brother."
"Babe, just leave it be." Lena chipped in but from Henderson's countenance, she knew it was best to let him handle the kids himself.
"Itzel you have to apologise. An apology will not kill you." Henderson stated.
Itzel nibbled on her lower lips and rolled her eyes, letting out a breath she turned to face Trent.
"My beloved brother, Daddy's favourite. I'm sorry." Her voice was heavy with sarcasm and she faked a smile.
"Seriously, Itzel. Where's all of this coming from?" Henderson groaned expressing a deeper sense of frustration.
Henderson opened his mouth to say something but Lena shook her head tapping him. Henderson sighed and refrained from saying anything else.
"Ok. Who wants some candies?" Lena raved but that didn't do any help changing the grumpy look that had etched the children's faces.
"Come on sweeties. You really don't want anything?" Lena's expression dulled and she turned to look at them.
"I'm okay," Itzel mumbled before averting her gaze.
"Me too." Trent nodded.
Henderson pulled into the car pack when they drove into the school and they alighted the car.
Lena and Henderson were surprised when the car which had just parked next to theirs opened and Maya stepped out.
"Hi, Lena. Henderson." She greeted them with a smile after coming closer to them.
"Maya!" Lena smiled hugging her. Maya was taken by surprise but she hugged Lena anyway.
"What are you doing here?" Henderson questioned his fevered glare not leaving her.
"I'm a teacher here now. Trent and Itzel didn't tell you?" Maya grinned shifting her gaze to the kids.
"Hey, how are you guys doing?"
Itzel didn't respond to Maya she just looked away.
"We are good," Trent answered.
"Speak for yourself, Trent." Itzel scowled rolling her eyes at him.
Itzel sauntered to Lena and embraced her.
"I love you, mom. I'll be on my way to class now."
When Itzel's met her dad's eyes she looked away immediately and pulled away from the hug. Henderson's lips pressed together as his mind wandered in thoughts. Everything was going well days back and all of a sudden things were becoming chaotic and he couldn't even pinpoint a reasonable cause of that.
"I'll walk you to class." Lena smiled crouching in front of Itzel and kissed her cheeks.
"No, you don't have to," Itzel said and dashed say before any of them could say anything else.
"She didn't even take her lunch. I'll go give it to her." Lena mumbled opening the car's door and taking out the lunch pack.
"Don't worry mom. Just give it to me, I'll give it to her." Trent took the Lunch pack after saying his goodbyes to Lena and Henderson, he headed for class.
"Itzel doesn't seem okay is there a problem?" Maya asked.
"It's none of your business. Stay away from my kids." Henderson warned in a harsh tone.
"I'm sorry. I was concerned." Maya apologised with a small smile but her sadness was still evident.
"No one asked for your concern." Henderson seethed.
"Maya, I'm sorry about...."
"It's fine. I'll get going now." Maya muttered before ambling away.
"Babe, you didn't have to be that cold towards her. I'm sure she meant no harm." Lena sighed gazing at Henderson when Maya was gone.
Henderson scoffed wriggling his head. He could never trust Maya's intentions even in his dreams. He knew better than to do that.
"You think she actually cares? Don't you find this suspicious? First, she started hanging out with Brighton and now she's a teacher in our kids' school. This isn't just happening, I can bet she's planning something and it won't be good."
