"Alex" Gina said nervously and stood when Alex walked into her office. her heart raced in fear as he walked towards her and took a Seat... the frown he had on his face made her feel more than anxious and she knew exactly why he was there to see her even though he had not said a single word. it was because of Charles and she could guess he had found out that they were getting married soon... "I'm sure you know why I'm here." Alex said and her heart almost dropped. "I can explain I..." She started but alex cut her off... "break up with him, or I'm going to tell him everything you did..." Alex said in a cold voice that made a shiver of fear run down Gina's spine... she felt her heart drop and had to swallow to find her voice to speak... "I'm sorry for what I did. I truly am... I regret it every single day, but I can't break up with him... I love him" Gina said, her eyes almost watering up as she spoke and her voice trembling... Alex scoffed and shook his head. he wasn't even sure what to believe anymore... wasn't she the same Gina who had been more than desperate to meet him and when she couldn't she had gone crazy and tried to run him and juliet over with his car... he even found out from Patrick that she had hired a private investigator to watch him and also followed his mother to where juliet worked... when and where did she meet Charles and how did they fall in love in just a short while after meeting. was she being truthful or was she just going for the cousin, since she couldn't get him... he wondered if it was right for him to interfere, but anytime he thought about Charles getting married to her and falling into a trap, he wanted to prevent such a thing from happening. Charles didn't deserve that... Alex eyes got a glimpse of the engagement ring on Gina's finger and he sighed deeply... he didn't want to become a villain on their love story... "Have you told him yet... if you love him then you would tell him about all the things that you did and if he really loves you and you are truly remorseful then he will forgive you" Alex said in a low voice... he didn't know much about there relationship. but he knew in a relationship one must be truthful... but that was exactly what Gina was afraid of... Alex had let her off the hook afte what she did, but what would Charles think of her. "I want to apologise to her" Gina said when Alex stood up to leave. "You should" Alex said and walked out of her office leaving her alone to think and reflect about the things she had done... She sat down for a few minutes before she picked up her bag and car keys... she couldn't avoid the truth forever... and maybe what Alex said was right... she didn't want to lose the man she loved because of her past mistakes..she wanted to make things right... ________________________ ________________________ "I was just about to call you" Charles said Gina walked into the private room in his car... he picked up the drink he had poured himself and Drank it all in one go... Gina fisted her hand as she walked to where he was standing "can I have a drink too" She asked and Charles poured her drink also. "What is wrong" she asked because he was obviously in a terrible mood... "I went to see Alex today and he got on my nerves" Charles answered and Gina swallowed. was that why Alex had showed up at her boutique... "What did he say" She asked in a low voice... and Charles turned to look at her... he couldn't possible tell her the things Alex had said to him because he didn't want her to feel bad and ruin her mood... "You don't have to worry about him. if he doesn't want to come to our wedding then that is his problem." Charles said and took Gina's hand in his. "You are all that matters to me" He said and Gina couldn't take it anymore... she felt the guilt in her heart rise... "There Is something you need to know... something I did and I regret every single day and I think I should tell you... I would have kept it from you. but I don't think it's right for me to because we are getting married and I understand if you don't want to be with me anymore after hearing what I have to say but..." Gina trailed off when she saw the look of confusion on Charles face. "Gina calm down... breathe... what are you talking about" Charles said, his eyes filled with confusion and Gina tried to catch her breath... "Alex only wants the best for you... he is right I don't deserve you... I tried to run juliet over with my car... I didn't know what came over me...I was mad that he was with her and I wasn't thinking straight..." Gina blurted out and Charles immediately froze... "What?" He said in a low voice as he let what Gina said sink into me... Gina went on to tell him about everything from the time she met Michelle to how her father kept pressuring her and how she had almost lost it till she met him... her eyes was filled with fear when Charles didn't say anything but only listened... he ran his hand through his hair and tugged on it a little when he remembered the way he had spoken to Alex...he had no idea any of this had happened and Alex hadn't even told him about... he didn't even know what to say... "I regret my actions I really do...I'm sorry..." Gina said in a low voice, her heart racing in fear as she waited for Charles to say anything, even get mad at her...
